I propose that after the Xia era, things become more literal and serious. We reevaluate what worked in the Xia era, the issues, hammer it out, set more ground rules, then make a detailed map and go darker.

Proposal: Instead of me posting we launch a overhaul-not reboot-of the lore, rp style, etc. using GOT, LOTR, and HBO's Rome as the storytelling basis? Would not change the general basis of the RP just enhance it. It would also reduce burnout too.

Unbeknownst to the jovial garrison, a small group of warriors approached the palisade, wearing no armor and equipped their knives. Once they had gotten close enough, these warriors of the night got behind the sentries and slit their throats of sentries before they could move a muscle. Once the last of the sentries had been dealt with, a spy opened the gates and allowed the warriors into the outpost. Within hours, the outpost was a tomb, the storehouses looted and the guards slain, the warriors of the night burning whatever they couldn't carry. This would only be the first of many attacks meant to deceive The Usurper into believing that Hou Jianhong is planning to head straight to the capital.

How would you like it if I'd march, massacre your troops, then behead your emperor all without declaring a single loss and without any chance of you reacting?
