Real countries by WA category

So... Maybe I have a little too much time on my hands... Using data from the Index of Economic Freedom and Freedom in the World, two very well known indices that when combined together can determine the measure of a country's political, civil, and economic freedom... I manually coloured each country according to the data I found if our world were to be divided into WA categories. I only ended up using 20 of the 27 possible categories as the others were not applicable.

According to the WA categorization system used by NationStates, it is... At least from the data I found. The US rates very high in political freedom, civil rights, and economic freedom.

Well, sort of. Both indices provide their own categories and break down how they calculated their scores. Like "Free" or "Mostly Free" for example for the Index of Economic Freedom. Obviously converting that to NationStates does make it appear a bit strange. Seemed better to me than just estimating the levels of freedom in each country myself, which would carry a great deal of personal bias. That isn't to say the measures I used are not biased a little themselves, but I think they mostly reflect reality.

I mean some may argue the United States is a "Corporate Police State" or "Libertarian Police State", or whatever have you because of the dominance of multinational corporations, but at the end of the day... You can freely criticize these corporations, vote for whoever you want, and start up competing businesses against them, so in actuality... You sort of do have a lot of freedom.

According to NS, in order to be that category, you must have low economic freedom, which thus excludes Scandinavia.
