All this blood shed, all these tears wept. And for what? Another infernal republic to survive another blasted civil war and another empire broken by the weight of it's own back. - Pero Kallin, State Admiral Second Class

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

The year is 10000 ABY, though it is often debated what event those initials are intended to mark any more. Most instead mark the year as 2478 AR, or After Rebirth. The galaxy is a much changed place since the era of the Skywalkers, or even the Old Republic. Desolated by millennium of war and different powers rising and falling, Galactic Politics have shifted dramatically, especially around the existence of Jedi or Sith. Neither order exists anymore, having wiped each other out in the great war that created the Galactic Dark Age between 4000-8000 ABY. That war, known by most in the galaxy as the Event resulted in the use of several planet busting weapons on planets such as Coruscant, Dantooine, and Kamino, along with many others, resulting in a near complete loss of learning with the exception of a few isolated pockets around the edge of the Galaxy.

Welcome to Star Wars 10k, a setting based on the Star Wars universe set several millennium after the OT. I felt inspired recently to create a kind of fusion between 40K and Star Wars and this is what resulted from it. It has elements from other sources but those are the main two. This will be a character based RP centered around a group of Force Users who find themselves at the center of a religious and force based Renaissance in the Galaxy.

Post Event, the Galaxy was a lawless wasteland ruled by the few warlords who managed to achieve total dominance over their homeworlds and reactivate broken spaceship husks that smashed into their worlds. Though these warlords were ruthless and hated by most of the galaxy, they triggered the reintroduction of interstellar travel for the vast majority of Galactic population. Soon, more civilized groups began to rise up on the Galactic stage and make their voices heard. Scraps of information from barely working holocrons revealed storie of the Jedi and the Sith to these groups, and for most it scared them. Force Sensitives went from being revered shamans to hated scapegoats throughout much of the galaxy, and their population was tightly controlled throughout all of it.

After 4000 years of the Dark Age, the Galaxy was reunited under a single state for the first time since before the event. The Empire of Hoth, led by a genetically modified branch of Arkanians who called themselves Hothii, brought the lawless galaxy to heel and transformed their once icey and barren world into a capitol that rivalled the mythical golden planet of Corus. The Empire of Hoth lasted for 1000 years and paved the way for the rise of even greater galactic states. After a plague destroyed the Hothii aristocracy, the Empire was reformed by powerful vassal planets into the Galactic Ministry, run by a system similar to a Parliament. This became known to most as the Rebirth. However, in the process they made enemies of Autocratic hardliners within the former empire, leading the ministry on a path that resulted in the first post event civil war, known as the Nabite Revolution.

Naboo was one of the few locations in the galaxy that still welcomed Force sensitives, indeed even worshipped them, or rather a select group of them. The Nabite Queen was a twisting of the old tradition of elected royalty on Naboo, instead she is a predatory force organism, or presence, who transfers herself into a new body offered up in sacrifice to her by the natives of Naboo, Human and Gungan alike. Though she resembles the Sith Emperor her ability to reincarnate herself appears instead to be latent rather than gained through a ritual, suggesting to those educated in the subject that she may be something else entirely than a powerful force user who replicated the Emperor's feat.

The Queen and her worshippers rose up against the Ministry and struck several crippling strikes at the Grand Fleet, forcing the Ministry to surrender and grant Naboo its independence and cede control of the Star systems around Naboo to the Queen. The next 500 years mark the slow decline of the ministry and the formation of the two new superstates. The Chiss Republic, named for it's founder species and the fleet that established it, and the Infinite State, a group that arose seemingly from nowhere in recent years, founded by a group of Autocrats who gained control of a fleet. Unlike Naboo, both states are incredibly hostile to Force Sensitives, with the Republic executing them where they can find them and the State using them to power their dread foundries they based on ancient technology.

We find ourselves fresh off the latest war between the Republic and the State, with both licking their wounds and preparing to attack the other. Meanwhile, the Queen of Naboo has devised a new way to deal with the extra force sensitives from her world...

Character Name: Jhara Vettan
Age: 29

Species: Human
Gender: Female

Skills: Piloting, General blaster skills, and decent education

Bio: Jhara is part of the Nabite noble house Vettan. Born to Draken and Yld Vettan in 2453 AR, Jhara was raised in the traditional noble fashion on Naboo. She was educated and groomed to one day succeed her father as the head of House Vettan. In this respect young Jhara proved to be quite a handful. Never quite wanting to be noble, Jhara rebelled against any and all attempts to curb her rebellious instincts. Her father saw this and began to step in himself, for Rebellion was a dangerous trait to have in the court of the Queen.

Draken taught his daughter how to fly and how to shoot, and when he could teach her no more, he handed her off to the commander of his own personal guard for more lessons. The military exercises seemed to draw off the child's excess energy and she improved in her studies, to the point where at age 10 she was granted access to the exclusive Palacial Academy in the capital, the eminent institution for any members of nobility in Naboo space. Jhara quietly succeeded in the Academy, never seeking to draw more attention to herself than she needed to. The reason behind this was simple enough, on the first night on her own in the Academy, Jhara found that she could use the force.

Making it through the Academy without incident, Jhara succeeded her father when he died close to her 18th birthday. Now the head of house Vettan, she had to navigate the various ins and outs of court life on Naboo. Though the Queen commanded only a few systems within the area once known as the Mid-Rim, nearly all of them, except for the garden paradise of Naboo itself, were Ecuemnopoli, vast cityscapes dominating worlds and moons. It is said that though Naboo held less than a tenth of the territory than either the Republic or the State, it's population was nearly double. Jhara's family traditionally commanded a small moon in the Umgol system, one teeming with life and crime in almost every corner. With a few favors, Jhara was able to establish her own secret police force on her world and begin to reel in the crime that infested it.

What she never told anyone was how she got these favors. Ever since she was a little girl, she had been able to tap into the universal energy whispered about in hatred fueled conversations. The Force. Her father had taught her to hide it, and hide it well, else she find herself in eternal servitude and eventually sacrificed to the Queen. It couldn't last forever. When she was 28 she made a terrible discovery, she was pregnant. Protecting the father with anonimity, she checked herself into a reclusive hospital for the birth, hoping that her sensitivity wouldn't register on any of the Kingdom's devices. She had misplaced her hope. Upon the birth of her son she was taken into captivity and held for about a year, when, along with a few other force sensitive captives, she was placed aboard a prison barge to be part of the Queen's next great experiment.

NS Name: Einsiev
Character Name: Tessh Seb Qur
Age: 26
Appearance:

Species: Kaleesh
Gender: Male
Skills: Skilled in lightsaber combat, especially the Ataru form, self taught pilot and mechanic.

Bio: Tessh Seb Qur was born to an agrarian Kaleesh couple living in the Semmet Woods of Naboo. The family kept to themselves and rarely ever ventured out from their simple log home as they preferred the solace of their isolated location. Their attire of choice was always traditional Kaleesh in style which they had sewn themselves. Tessh's father, Oruun, was extremely force sensitive and taught Tessh how to handle a lightsaber starting at the age of seven. Tessh was nearly identical in his force sensitivity to his father, resulting in him being able to teach himself new techniques with ease. Tessh was uncertain how his father even managed to come across a lightsaber in times where force sensitives were greatly persecuted and often killed. Nevertheless, he always made time to practice with the lime colored blade.

Only two weeks after turning 20, Tessh had mastered difficult force techniques, and even managed to spew lightning from his fingertips after a deep meditation session in which he meditated on over 200 year old holobooks his father was lucky enough to come across during his travels in the city of Theed. Tessh elected not to tell his father of this for fear that he would be scrutinized, as the holobooks were deemed 'too dangerous to fall into the hands of those not prepared to study them.'

One warm, summer morning, as the sun was peeking through the dense forest canopy and the wind gently rustled the leaves overhead, Tessh found himself pacing slowly by a stream running by the family garden. His father had gone to trade with local merchants in Theed and his mother, Seima, was inside the home sewing herself new boots for working around the property. Tessh heard the faint ding of his mothers handheld holopad she used to communicate with Oruun while he was away from home. Moments later, he heard what he believed to be blaster fire come through the holopad and the horrific shriek his mother let out. He bolted inside to find his mother distraught and in tears, who began grasping at Tessh's arms telling him his father had been shot as blaster fire suddenly erupted from all around seemingly. His heart sank and a look of absolute horror crossed his face. He spent the rest of the night trying to keep his mother calm and hopeful as to his fathers return the next morning, as Theed was 68 kilometers away, saying that it could've not been directed at his father or that he was able to get away in time. Unfortunately, his father never returned. Seima had eventually starting suffering from crippling depressive episodes to which she could bear no longer. Two years after the supposed death of his father, Seima ventured deeper into the woods behind the home, drew her minuscule blaster pistol from her boot, and shot herself in the right side of her temple. Tessh had felt that something was wrong, almost as if someone was speaking to him from inside of his head. He wasted no time in bolting into the woods to find his mother. Eventually, he came across her body laying in the thick ferns. Broken, Tessh carried his mothers body back to their home and buried her according to Kaleesh tradition beside the garden. He then gathered some belongings, including the holobooks and his fathers lightsaber that he once trained with, and departed for Theed on the family Kaadu named Emek, with the desire to finally put his mind at rest and gain closure as to what happened to his father. He has been living alone in Theed ever since.

NS Name: Great Confederacy of Commonwealth States
Character Name: Tadak Sinlur
Age: 120
Appearance:
Image

Species: Kaminoan (Also known as Jhas Krilli)
Gender: Male
Skills: Historic research, archaeology, diplomacy
Bio: Tadak Sinlur is a part of the Kaminoan Diaspora, descendants of the sole surviving ship of refugees who fled Kamino just before its destruction and genocide. A handful of Kaminoans survived that way, only able to make a living by selling their cloning services to the highest bidder. Because their gene pool was so small, the kaminoans reverted back to their old eugenic ways, creating new generations solely through a cloning process that removed ‘undesirable traits’. At the collapse of interstellar travel, the Kaminoan survivors were spread throughout the galaxy. These groups were all hunted into extinction over the subsequent thousands of years, with the only survivors living on the jungle moon of Jhas Krill. The Kaminoans there had pre-emptively extinguished all other sentient and semi-sentient life forms on the moon.

Kaminoan society was even harsher on Jhas Krill than it had been on Kamino. The population never grew larger than the inhabitants of a medium sized town. Strict population control and eugenic policies made sure that the living Kaminoans were only the most pure individuals of the species. Because of their position within the Hoth system, they were one of the first species discovered by the ascendant Hoth empire. The Hothii were both amazed and appalled by the Kaminoan knowledge of genetics and the cloning process, and were happy to use their scientific knowledge while keeping them at a comfortable distance. Many Kaminoans served as advisors and teachers within Hothii society.

The destruction of the Hothii aristocracy by a plague (which the Kaminoans might or might not have had a hand in) also led to the Second Kaminoan Diaspora. Many Kaminoans lost their lives in the subsequent slaughter, and the destruction of their second home at Jhas Krill. The Ministry rescinded most rights Kaminoans held, and forbade them from having representation in the Galactic Parliament. Again, Kaminaons travelled the galaxy selling their services to the highest bidder. They served the Queen of Naboo, and later, groups went on to labour for the Chiss Republic and the Infinite State.

Tadak Sinlur was created by this latest group. Not only was he especially created to be a scientist, he was created force-sensitive. The experiment was expensive, resource-intensive and incredibly unethical, but in the end the result was Tadak Sinlur. As a force sensitive Kaminoan, his whole life he prepared for a leadership role in the projects regarding the Dread Foundries. Tadak Sinlur did research into ancient force-powered weapons, and led expeditions to find old relics from before the Dark Age. Besides this, he also developed an interest in pre-dark age history in general. Using his expeditions as a cover, he gathered information on the Last War, as well as the Jedi and Sith orders. He was especially interested in the Clone Wars, as the legends of his own species told about those days with pride.

The gratitude of the Infinite State was temporary, however. A shakeup within the State leadership resulted in another purge of Kaminoans, and Tadak Sinlur was to be sent to the Dread Foundries like any force user. He managed to escape, however, and made his way to the surviving Kaminoans on Naboo. Once it was found out that he was force-sensitive, he was brought to the Queen, who put him in a prison transport

As long as they aren’t a super power, I’ve got no issue with it. This is a character and story based though, so you won’t be able to play as them persan.

Glad to see we have some apps, I’ll reviee them later.

This app is mostly good, but there are some parts that you need to fix. Any force sensitives actively using their powers on Naboo would likely be instantly caught and captured. While I'm fine with him having some experience with more advanced force powers, force lightening is a step too far, and any holobooks his father had would be more than useless. Force Sensitives have been hunted for nearly 4000 years, and most records of any sort of formal training for them were likely destroyed a long time ago. While I'm fine with him being able to use a lightsaber-esque weapon, it would have to be something closer to a Proto-saber, once again due to the mostly sheer hatred of the Jedi/Sith legend. Any knowledge of forms would have also been lost in the dark age.
