Better punishment: make him write a book. Then we all get to make fun of him for doing worse than Max Barry

Pythagosaurus wrote:OK, there's now a [proposal]id[/proposal] tag, but it's not very user friendly yet. To get the ID, you need to view the page source and search for the proposal. At the bottom, you'll find something like this: <input type="hidden" name="proposal" value="new_rockport_1248541413">. The proposal ID in this case is new_rockport_1248541413.

It's just a prediction. [violet] has not outed herself as Mr Barry.

Btw, I'm impressed that Google Chrome is being taken into consideration for coding. Even though to my knowledge it still only runs on Windows....
Oh! That did. THANK YOU!

and...shock! I'm in agreement with Glen-Rhodes on this. It's basically an open-door invitation for players to abuse a new feature, meaning more rules will have to be instituted. And if rules inevitably have to be created to restrict the use of bold and italics, why enable the tags in the first place?
And what exactly is the point to linking to proposals in other proposals? Or do the proposal tags only work on the forum?

The World Assembly hereby Commends Sionis Prioratus for authoring [resolution=55]this resolution[/resolution]
(just an example of it's use, and no clue if that's how it would work... )

I'm more accustomed to (and thinking more in terms of) what are now called 'General Assembly' proposals: We have a rule there against including what the Mods call 'House of Cards' references, i.e. ones that would become useless if the earlier resolution[s] being referred to in them were ever repealed...
