So a recent email from the DOJ to immigration judges didn't go exactly as expected when people started realizing that the link contained in the letter was for VDare, a website that contains loads of anti Semitic and anti minority propaganda and which has strong ties to the white nationalist movement. The specific post in the link was about an effort to dissolve the national association of immigration judges and made numerous Nazi themed remarks such as calling the New York Times the lugenpresse, which is German for "lying press." This term was used by Adolf Hitler and his associates in the 1930s against jews, communists and critics of the Reich within the media. The letter comes during a week of high tension involving both the migrant crisis from central America and Trump's decision to take sides in the Israel-critic conflict (in which he made the usual absent minded argument that people who criticize Israel are just antisemitic and Jews who don't support Israel aren't loyal), so obviously tension is high.
Now what's my opinion on this? Well, I wanna know why the hell an email from the DOJ to immigration courts contains a link to a white supremacist website. That sure doesn't make me comfortable, knowing that we clearly got some ghost skins in the Department of Justice and probably in much of the rest of our government too. Makes me wonder if I'm living in the United states or a failed state. I think it's absolutely appalling that this kind of rhetoric is coming from the government itself and that it's completely tarred and stained the immigration debate. Whoever shared the link ought to be fired for the good of our country (I don't want an open bigot holding as much power as the DoJ grants). Even in the current era we live in, I'm shocked by this news. What are your thoughts Nsers?
