The Provincial Union does not have states as most countries do, but rather has very autonomous provinces.

The Provincial Union has 158 provinces throughout the nation organised into 34 regions.

Barfleur is divided into 35 Sectors, each of which have their own legislatures and an elected Administrator-General. The sectors themselves are divided into Political Communities, which hold a charter as either a City, Borough, Town, or Village.

The North American Union has 51 provinces (quite autonomous by the way), 6 federalized indigenous protectorates (pretty much treated as provinces though have to engage in treaty negotiations and agreements with the provinces or the general government for changes in domestic policy, or in their own domestic law and constitutions, than general laws applying to them (only general laws that apply are related to defense, international trade, and foreign relations), and one protected state (the Kingdom of Hawaii).

[Shalotte]

Shalotte does not have 'states'. With a surface area of around 4,200 square miles, the entire country is smaller than most countries' states.

For the purposes of Gaeltyn elections, the island is divided into political divisions known 'Tyrrnys'. Each Tyrrny is centred around one of the 20 largest settlements and their surrounding areas, the people within which then vote on a Tyrrn to represent them in the Gaeltyn.

One's Tyrrny is only relevant in a political sense, however; geographically, the Tyrrny is meaningless, and doesn't feature on home addresses or get mentioned anywhere outside of the Gaeltyn itself.

Perhaps the closest thing Shalotte has to a 'state' would be the particular island upon which one lives. Residents of the smaller islands in particular tend to identify more with the people of their own islands than they do with people on the 'mainland' of Hiort. The particularly isolated and difficult-to-reach northern islands of Paen and Duená even have somewhat unique dialects, and a handful of distinct cultural traits when compared with the two larger, more southerly, more easily-accessible islands, though the populations of those two northern islands are tiny compared to the others.

The islands are not politically distinct from each other, however, so even this phenomenon isn't entirely analogous to the traditional concept of a state.

The Shalotte archipelago

Psûkhê consists of twelve provinces. Each province elects three representatives (priest, minister, and judge), thirty-six in total, that compose the Low Council of the Dikastêrion. The Triumvirate consists of the High Priest, High Doctor, and High Judge. The triumvirs are chosen amongst the Low Council in clandestine assemblies. The priestly council tends to the spiritual needs of the nation, not limited to worship, but also to health and nature. The ministerial office is in charge of the economy, development, and education. The magisterial office is in charge of justice, law enforcement, and governance.

Vaukiai is not subdivided into "states" but rather into counties (apskritīs). These are divided into municipalities (savivaldībés), and the last are divided into elderates (seniūnijos).

[Andocara]

East Andocara: The East Island of Andocara, where a vast majority of the population lives. Is also Andocara’s media centre.

West Andocara: The West Island of Andocara, home to only about 100,000 people. There is currently a smart city here, and it contains most of the Island’s population. There are more smart and future cities being conceptualised in West Andocara. In the near future, West Andocara will be known as Smart Island.

Midway Island: A small 44,000 sq km island located between East and West Andocara. It contains the nation’s capital and is home to over a million people.

Americara: A very small 850 sq km Island that is 300 miles East of East Andocara and is closest to the United States (200 miles off the coast of California). It has had major influence from both countries and is sometimes mistaken for a US state. Some argue it’s part of the US, while others say it’s part of Andocara. Americara is the only place in Andocara where you could see the US flag wavering in certain places, in addition over 40% of its 150,000 residents are of American origin/were born in the United States.


While they aren’t officially states, they are all unique and distinct from one another, even having their own flags.

The City of the Brague is considered independent of any canton and in fact counts an in independent division itself. The Stadholder acts as its head.

In Serland there are 4 levels of organization (after the country)

The first is the most important: Grandas Regiones (Great Regions), which are 10, the countries which form Serland: Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, South Germany, Slovenia, Dalmatia, Austia and Bratislava. Also in the same level are the Regiones Especiales (Special Regions), abreviated as REGES, which are the small countries: Andorra, Liechtenstein and San Marino. These 13 are also since 1977 the electoral districts.

The second level are the Regions, each Great Region have a least two, but Bratislava has only one, and in total are more than 60. Some examples are: Andalusia (Spain), Toscana (Italy) or Norte (Portugal). These were the electoral districts before 1977. The REGES haven't got regions.

The third level are the provinces, some regions have only one, but the others have 2 or more. An example is Teruel (Aragon, Spain). Here the same with REGES, there are no provinces in the Spwcial Regions

The last level is: Municipalities, I don't need to explain what it is. Is the only division in REGES.

We are a society made up of numerous arcologies, each of which is its own federal administrative unit. There are currently 101 arcologies, with another 2 under construction. Each complete arcology houses a population of around 1,000 and operates as a direct democracy at the local level

The Kingdom of Purpuria is a unitary state, not a federation. There are 7 counties, but they have little to no legislative autonomy from the central government.
