Planetary Invasion of Bamsagol (IC)

Shortly following the discovery of FTL Technology, the Sondagris Tribunal began to explore and expand. We now hold control of five systems.
This month however, The Bamsagol System and it's potentially habitable planet of the same name was discovered to have an Atomic Era sentient species known as the Pabhanlu. Seeing how this race was technologically inferior to the Sondagris, the Tribunal Government decided to invite the Bamsagol system into the tribune, and receive all of the benefits.

This offer was declined, and the Tribunal Government decided to obtain the planet by force, as it was in the way of a strategic hyperlane. So then it was, war was declared and the Tribunal Army and the Sondagris Fleet went on their way. Further response from Bamsagol have yet to be heard..

We expect this war to be over soon as the fragmented Pabhanlu have a decentralized military force, which we predict will lead to tactical disarray.

I think this must be stopped, Barnsagol did nothing wrong and the other side is showing aggression. If things do not calm down my nation of Makkr will intervene with miltary force

In other news, the landing was successful, but came at a heavy cost. While Bamsagol lost one battalion, the 34th Battalion Suffered 2/3 casualties, and will be pulled from action as a result. The Galactic Tribune announced the creation of a series of awards to be awarded for such bravery in all branches.

The 4th and 23rd battalions are the first to be sent out to scout Bamsagoli Defenses.

5 Makkrian naval divisions leave their port in Makkr and head for Himabesh territory, Makkr claims it will continue in war until Himabesh surrenders

The 2nd battalion is annihilated in a resounding success, the 4th only facing 10% casualties.
Tue fourth is given orders to keep brushing off any scouting battalions to prep for the full invasion

With 40% casualties, this battle was no easy task, but tue 4th battalion was defeated, the 23rd is ordered to pull back, and is to be replaced in the scouting role by the 33rd.

The Sniper Lokesh Gadal is returning home to earn the Bronze Claw and the Gratitude Award. He claimed 36 kills and his fellow soldiers confirmed 35 of them, he was shot in the shoulder and sustained minor injuries in a fall, he treated himself and kept fighting.

Stealth in space is a tricky endeavor at best. Even in the quietest corners of the galaxy, major fleet movements rarely go undetected. The Sondagris Fleet was no exception; on at least one observing vessel, it drew quite a bit of attention.

In the deepest citadel of the 15 km long space-faring city that was the Vaxintorian Greatship Nezhugarahd, Lord Kradzik Rhadriok was feasting. Rhadriok’s attendant was reluctant to disturb the d’zukaru ruler’s meal, but he didn’t hesitate. Delaying the message would get him into far deeper trouble.

“Lord, Greatcaptain Vyaridosh reports signs of fleet activity in the long-range scanners.”

“Excellent.” Rhadriok stretched out his longest arm to grab the oversized communicator.

“Kradzik here. Report, Nexrum.”

“We’ve detected hyperspace traces a few degrees off our current course. Very recent, and from the scale of the trace it was a sizeable force. I’d guess it’s either a planetary invasion strike, or an element headed for a major fleet engagement. I’ve adjusted course to keep the traces fresh while awaiting your instructions.”

“Very good. Follow them, Greatcaptain. This could be an opportunity.”

The vast bulk of the Greatship was all but impossible to miss when it plunged back into real-space in the Bamsagol system, transfer energy surging around it like sheets of blue flame. The pair of escorting battleships, each a mere 1.5 km in length, might easily by lost in their larger companion’s entry flare.

Flickering torches and glowing display consoles illuminated the Nezhugarahd’s control chamber. Greatcaptain Nexrum Vyaridosh stood perfectly motionless in the center, bracing himself with six armor-plated, spike-studded legs while he gazed at the primary viewscreen. Around the d’zukaru’s massive form, lesser vaxintorians attended to the business of preparing the ship for real-space travel.

As the blaze of transfer energy began to fade, Vyaridosh boomed, “SENSORS. Full system scan. I want to know what we’re dealing with here, now! Flight decks, prepare for launch. All Raiders, Deathbolts, and Bats should be ready to move at a moment’s notice. Prioritize bats in case this lot we’ve been tracking greets us with a missile storm or a fighter launch.”

One vaxintorian raised his serpentine form from a coil by the communications station. “Mighty one, do you wish to make a transmission?”

“Not yet. We’ll see how these people react to our arrival. That may tell me much.”

Across the blocky form of the Greatship, sensor emplacements shone with golden light as they came to full power. By this time, the two battleships would be clearly visible as they moved forward to screen the larger vessel.
