Kal'haldan, the Cloven One

After what had been seen or alerted, his suspicions still kept ringing for him to do something. He was not smart enough to see against illusions nor was he able to see who it was but his instincts told him that something was amiss. Something in his mind and his gut felt that something bad was going to happen and he needed to do it fast. However the rational part of his monster mind, that of a god had surmised that it probably was nothing and he was letting his monster within run wild.

One thing they both agreed upon was that he needed to hurry to his worshipers in the mountains. Finding them wasn't hard as he perked up his ears and listened to the prayers that were directed towards him. He rushed towards them in the newly birth sun and saw them deep underground in a cavern eating whatever they could and living in the darkness. When they saw his glowing horizontal pupils then they gathered around him and pray and worshipped him like he brought back the sun and stop the world from ending.

He didn't want to dissuade them from their views, if anything they were somewhat founded that he did have a hand in these things. However, even with the sun going out and the monsters multiplied during the loss of the sun. Chaos spread rampant without a strong hand and this makes him angry. With his newfound power he can right those wrongs and finally make his progenitor's promise come true. Even with the promise he still had to rely on the mortal souls and he didn't know how to sever the influence of the Maelstrom without the need of divine blood.

Then, an idea came to him!

"Which one of you are the elder of this tribe?" He asked.

One of them came, a man with gray hair and he could see his lineage did not come from his original worshippers but he was one nevertheless. He wore rags and hides and lean on a stick. The Cloven One's heart cooled in sadness when he saw that as the mortals were inside the caves for longer than he had thought, a curse of his immortality. He approached him and towered over him, still having the flower rings around his horns and beads connected to his beard as a symbol that his their god and defender.

"You have stayed faithful to me for generations and into the darkness. I am sorry that it took me so long to come found you all. I bring a gift for your steadfastness, a gift for you all. Bring me a bowl elder for you will be the first to take part of it." Kal'haldan smiled as he spoke.

The elder looked overjoyed as he heard the blessing from the goatman that they got a small, crudely carved clay bowl for him and prayed over it.

Kal'haldan then grabbed the sword that symbolized his mantle and cut his wrist. Divine golden ichor poured into the bowl and the tribe watched as he the Cloven One seemed in pain as he grunted and healed his wound. He then pointed his sword and chaotic energy crackled from it and darted to the bowl and a small purpleish mushroom cloud exploded from the bowl. The bowl now had a mixture of light violet and golden liquid as it glowed in the dark tunnel.

"Drink this and you will be remade beyond human. With my blood you will be like monsters, with the shard of the maelstrom you will be chaotic and free like them but without the need to have your souls snagged by them. You will be strong, people of my blood and share in my strength. Not all will be the same but you will be like brothers and sisters to my eyes. You will carry on the promise of building a home for monsters in this new world and be the vanguard for them. Therefore, as your lord, I wish for you to be fruitful and multiply, to spread your blood beyond the earth and form a new horde to rise up against the should they not be tamed. "

He passed on the blessing to the elder and the tribe. For each drink the chaotic divine monster blood of their Lord will not go out and they will feel the effects of the blessing.

Action:Turn the human worshippers who partake in the blessing into Musume, human/monster hybrids with the bonus of being able to reproduce faster than the other races.

Hagia
Goddess of Healing and Family

Hm. The dwarves seemed to be calling for that bothersome minor god to enter the citadel. But why were they so eager, when she could see none of them around? She sensed something was wrong, but she had only the faintest idea of what the dwarves were attempting to do. She would have to be quick and small in the event there was an attack. It was extremely unlikely the dwarves could do anything to her, even with their skill in crafting, but pain was pain, and an inconvenience she would rather avoid.
Quickly condensing her form into that of a glowing, golden peacock. Majestic creatures, she had seen and enjoyed interacting them once long ago. The women of the species were rather dull, but the brilliant plumage of the males never ceased to enchant her. With a running start and a few flaps of her wings she rose off the ground and soared above the head of the god and into the great citadel. Keeping herself in midair with nothing more than a thought, wings splayed and tail fanned out, she spoke without moving her beak, her voice echoing around the cavernous space.

"Dwarves, I have sensed you need help. An enemy has besieged your people, and many lay injured and dying. Allow me to help, or risk your own doom, not at my hands, but those who have already rendered so many of you lifeless corpses."

Action: Address the dwarves and heal their injured citizens, possibly gaining worshippers

CYRRUS
Goddess of the Clouds & Rainbows

With the rebirth of the sun goddess, light spread across the skies of Terra. All those animals and humans that were near the light tree, rejoiced, light finally returning. Some couldn't believe what they were seeing, and neither did Cyrrus to be completely honest. She thought it could be a dream, but even if it were she didn't want to waste an opportunity like this. She danced among the clouds, watching the rainbow she created earlier bring a sparkle of hope to the people below. She painted the clouds without cares and pirouetted among the birds that were volant in the infinity of the skies. Looking up at the newly birthed sun, people looked and gazed in awe at it's brilliant shine. At last, good things were coming the humans of Terra. Her rainbow stood proudly and so brightly in the sky. Maybe luck was finally on her side.

World of Terra

Image

The world of Terra continued to spin onwards legends written in the Book of Time.

It had been years since the Day of Black Sun. Mortalkind had struggled immensely with the complete collapse of human civilization. The lands were barren but soon colonized by the various lifeforms, sustained by the Trees of Light planted by the elves in those dark days. Soon the ecosystems would be restored to their former glory in due time. The majority of humans would continue to wander the planet, though some tribes would coalesce and build new settlements across the lands. Much knowledge had been lost, but coppersmithing and rudimentary agriculture were being utilized by the Tribes of Man once more. Even before Apophis attacked human civilization was scarce but now that the ruin of the Dark Age was behind them humanity could finally rebuild...

Idvar

Lady Vaedra frowned as she took note of Idvar's diminished status."I see so King Kona has replaced you with that earth deity, you shouldn't have faked killing yourself, things would've turned out better for you if you acted as a spy on Aetherius." She sighed as a shadow throne grew from the darkness surrounding them, the Titaness would sit on her throne."No matter if the Fates are on your side then you will regain your power, as for the Fires of Mount Aetherius, tell me Idvar have you heard of the Hearts Theory? It is the theory that Terra as multiple hearts, Mount Aetherius, the Divine Garden, and the Isles of the Divines. These three hearts helped to keep Mundara and Maelstrom from colliding and merging with each other. If the Hearts where to be undone then reality itself would shudder and the barriers would cease to be, Chaos and Order would collide."

"The Divine Garden was deactivated sometime in the Mythic Age, as well as the Isles of the Divines, Mount Aetherius stands as the last Heart that keeps away the domination of the Maelstrom, The Fires are key to Mount Aetherius remaining activated, now with the Fires in my possession Mount Aetherius will weaken and the barriers between Mundara and the Maelstrom will cease to be and the Aetherians will have to clash with the forces of chaos head-on."

"As for the Fires, they forged the very chains that hold the Titans, they are instrumental in breaking said bonds so that the Titans can regain their freedom...."

Laab'as

Laab'as would find that the Elven Kingdom was not as unified as he imagined. Once Laab'as had superseded the Ancestors in the new Elven pantheon, a group of religious dissidents had emerged. A prophet under the name of Vareus would emerge. He preaches on the streets of the capital shouting how the Elve where becoming sinful and abandoning their traditions. The prophet would gain a small following of elven conservatives distrustful of the god of magic.

Laab'as would appear in the Court of Númenya. The majority of Elves venerated Laab'as and the king would take heed of his word the Elves would get started on this center of magical learning and they would plant a massive tree of light that would act as the base of this new school of magic. Slowly but steadily this school of magic would grow and a new age of magical and arcane scholarship would be born, the Elves inventing new and fantastic ways to utilize magic.

Comonos

Comonos would succeed in gaining these nomads as followers. Seeing him transform from his great bird form, and creating rice from thin air convinced them that he was a god. They would soon worship the Lord of the Harvest.

Armonk

The mortals would struggle in the field of horticulture. The sun had just returned and Armonk's followers had never been farmers even before Apophis ravaged the world and plunged Terra in darkness. They much preferred the life of freedom that hunting and gathering entailed roaming the lands as their ancestors had been doing thousands of years before them. It would take some persuasion in getting these hunter-gatherers to give up their freedom and settle down.

Vuthar

Vuthar continued to struggle in creating his Frostgaurd but in the far north, he found it easier to accomplish his quest. The Frostgaurd continued to collapse into snow and ice, but with each failure, Vuthar came closer to success. Finally, he would stabilize their beings and they could be given the breath of life. Ten Frostgaurd where created gifted with the power of ice. They would bow to their master and await his command.

Khal'haldan

The Lord of Monsters would fail miserably. Bestowing such power to mere mortals would always be a risky dilemma. Most of the humans died some in the act of becoming such terrible hybrids, their organs dying under the stress. Others would fall ill and weakened. It appeared that transforming humans to hybrid monsters was a most unnatural feat, against the natural order of things.

Hagia

Hagia would find her suspicions would ring true. The Dwarves those crafty bastards had forged a new scheme to deal with hostile deities. Hearing of the exploits of the Mad God, they would take an appendage of Apophis whose remains where scattered across the world. They would forge some type of metallic device that Hagia could not discern its nature. As Crexus stood there the device would shoot a blast of Apophis's divine energy entrapping Crexus in some type of barrier that he could not escape. It appeared that they were encouraging him to enter only to decieve him, the Dwarves would carry their new prisoner away from the citadel of Khag Maldir.

Mithrata
God of Earth

The feeling of all that power flowing into Mithrata was such an overwhelming sensation, he had not felt anything like this before. It was a thousand times stronger than the sensation he felt when he was first able to move after the divine ichor flowed into the ground during the Third Divine War. After he was able to fully come to terms with everything as an Aetherian he noticed that the sun had returned and light with it, no longer was creation dimly lit by the Trees of Light and the world was being healed. Now thought he felt that there was more responsibilities he needed to do, previously he would have just simply returned to repairing Terra but now he felt like he needed to interact with the mortals he was an Aetherian now not just a simple minor god.

From his position he closed his eyes and allowed his mind to search the earth, trying to find a large human settlement to make his presence known, mostly from a large concentration of humans that stood upon the earth as well as their buildings pushing down upon it. It would be easy to go to them after locating them because he would simply travel through the earth, one place to another, appearing on the outskirts of their settlement as a slightly larger than average individual wearing simple clothes but keeping a very small aura around him that the humans would recognize that he was at the very least some sort of important being.

Action: Use his connection to the earth to locate a large concentration of humans and appear before them in the above mentioned manner.

“You’re right,” Ivdar told Vaedra. “I am going to try to become an Atherian again. I will return soon.” Ivdar left the shadowlands and walked through Terra. When he entered the shadow realms before, there was no organized civilization. But now he saw cities and tribes sprawled across Terra. He took his time observing Terra as he walked through the world and to the Oracle.

Finally, he had arrived at the Oracle’s temple. Once inside Ivdar decided to contact the oracle.

“I have come here to seek assistance. I would like to know how to become an Atherian again. Kona has taken away my throne on Atherius. Is there any way to restore my power or regain my seat on Mount Atherius?”

Action: summon the Oracle and ask the Oracle for assistance

Laab'as, The Wheel of Mortal Magic

With their place firmly established within the Elven Kingdom, despite some resistance from some ingrates who still venerated their ancestors, Laab'as began to look outward. The Humans, the most numerous species on Terra, had begun to form something resembling a civilization again. While their homes were humbler and their technology leaving much to be desired, the spark of intelligence and progress hadn't died with the old Sun God. Their humble villages were fertile ground for a human cult of magic to form and Laab'as would seed that ground. He would need new spells, however, and a way to grant the mundane human a spark of magic. The tribes were constantly warring, so perhaps some offensive and defensive spells would suit the humans' need the best. As for the more basic problem of needing the ability to access magic in the first place, Laab'as thought that they would grant the gift of magic through blood, instead of teaching. First, he would grant his followers the ability to use magic on at least a basic level, then chain the ability to their bloodline, allowing for their children to access magic from birth, like the Elves. But first, a willing village needed to be located.

Action: Locate a human village.

Hyztlet could now return to his work, he told the giant fireflies to go away to the darkest caverns and give light to them, he then made the fire ants small again, he then would return to his work on the dragonfly people, he now knew he would need something, certain things one might call "aspects" he knew he would need the oracle so he set out on a quest to locate her

Action: Locate the Oracle

CYRRUS
Goddess of the Clouds & Rainbows

As a God, you have almost everything at your fingertips. You'd think life would be amazing, being able to do anything you want, and yet Cyrrus got bored often. Though her life in the skies painting each day was fun, she rarely had anyone to keep her company. Sometimes the odd bird would join her, but that's it. She'd never really ever talked to humans, as well, she didn't know. Out of shyness, or not to interfere in their lives maybe. But, she watched as villages and tribes rebuilt their homes and towns. She often wondered whether she might be less lonely if she talked to them? But, to be quite honest, she was a little shy about it. Maybe a poor human will roll up at her doorstep for help? Oh damn, she messed up a part of her painting. She quickly rubbed off the splodge of cloud from her canvas of the sky, losing her train of thought.

Action - Continue painting, but with an eye out for the people below.

Kal'halden, Lord of Monsters

The Cloven One saw the deaths of all who participated. He was saddened and shocked as his blood fought against the mortal body. He saw the malformed mutations and saw that it was possible to fuse monster and mortal. He and the rest of his worshippers gave the bodies a proper burial and he logged the failed blessing in his mind as it was a step into making that promise for Murr come true. If anything, he could see in trying to provide small alterations to the mortal body in preparation for hybridization. Until then he needed a way to try and require more followers or at least a place to call home other than a cave.

One thing that was commonplace in the world was the amount of monsters in the world. After since Aphopis and the death of the first sun god they grew in power with chaos being rampant. His beast blood was true with this as it wanted the Cloven One to go and dominated the world as Lord of Monsters and it was time to indulge in his nature a bit. He gathered his followers and went down into the monster infested mountains till he saw a settlement occupied by monsters who had no humans around except as pieces of food.

The leader of the band that settled here was obviously the one Kal'haldan had been looking for before the War, the Minitour Qun. Qun rampaged the region of the first worshippers he had gotten with impunity. The Monster Lord thought that taking down Qun would show the other monsters who was their Lord before the war started.

"Qun!" Kal'haldan yelled to get the manbull's attention," for too long you and your monster band have been roaming this region taking whatever you want and spreading chaos wherever you go! As Lord of Monsters I have come to unite the horde and make sure that the promise of Murr is seen throughout our reality. That's why I challenge you to a fight of leadership for your band and this settlement. Here I come bull!"

Action: Use the power of monsters to challenge and defeat Qun to rule over his band and take the settlement for the human worshippers.

These hippies don't want to settle down? Well, that's not good. I gonna make a civilization. There's not much else I can do to convince them besides forcibly killing off all their animals and gather-able foods like berries and the likes. I could that but that's not really cash money of me. I'll just have to hammer in the idea that being hunters and gathers is a U N H I P thing. How? Well, that's easy. Wait for them to starve as weather causes influxes in food supply that is easily gathered by hand and hunted. In the meanwhile, I'll still try to teach the lads how to throw seeds at dirt because that's the most very advanced method of farming although it's not really farming yet - it's just horticulture.

Action : You know the drill - try to teach them horticulture.

Comonos,
God of the harvest

Fortress of Metzli

Several years had passed since the Dark Age, when Apophis killed the sun god and nearly succeeded in conquering all of Terra and usurping the power of the Atherians. Fortunately, the monster had been defeated by the combined efforts of the gods, and a new sun god had been born from the ashes of the old. Terra had slowly recovered, with lands that were once devoid of life due to the war now blooming with various fauna and flora, while the mortals began to return to the stability of the past. Some of the human tribes began to coalesce into new civilizations and construct settlements of their own, and humanity began to enter the Copper Age once more. Meanwhile, lesser gods had been granted the throne of an Atherian to replace the gods that had fallen or were missing in the previous years, and other lesser gods were beginning to come to prominence. Notably, the madness of Crexus was still gripping the lands, while Kal'halden's monsters were growing in number and strength.

In the midst of all of this, Comonos had settled his new human followers in what became known as the Fortress of Metzli, named after the old settlement and peoples that Comonos had attempted to eliminate years ago. Comonos and his giants were in the midst of constructing a great stone citadel, the seat of the giants on Terra as well as Comonos's personal residence on the world and a surrounding city. While it was not yet fully complete, the primary keep and several other stone buildings had been completed, as well as the inner wall, and numerous homes and roads for the city had been constructed. Comonos and the giants had constructed homes and fields where the humans could farm, and the humans quickly settled in, their numbers multiplying over the years due to several abundant harvests and the blessings of Comonos. In return, they and their descendants continued to worship Comonos, fueling his power.

Pleased at the progress of the Metzli fortress, Comonos decided to reward the giants and further impress the humans by finally creating some female companions for them, as well as some more males, so that their race could multiply and become fully established on Terra. Using previously gathered supplies over the years, Comonos would construct the base of the giants and allow his golden blood to flow over all of them, and then he struck the bases with the blunt in of his scythe, using his full might as an Atherian to breath life into them.

Action: Raise 44 more giants (20 males, 24 females) and grant them substantial power and intelligence (using previous detailed instructions from this post)

Vuthar, God of Ice

"Yes! "Come to life my Frostguard", Vuthar said in excitement as he finally succeed in creating the first of the Frostguard. He only made ten but, that may be enough to help the dwarfs against the demons. Though if these Frostguard would fail in their task of killing demons then he could simply make more and judge to see how well the first of the Frostguard handle against demons. "Arise my warriors and left me give you names", Vuthar motioned for them to rise and they did. Looking intently at their creator as he individually gave them names. "You, the first of my Frostguard have been created for the purpose of killing the demons that threaten the dwarfs. We will now go to aid the dwarfs in their fight against the demons, you all will show how these demons fear and lay them low". Vuthar raised his hammer high above his head, "Now let's show these demons the might of the Frostguard! The Frostguard let out a war cry raised their fists to the sky. They would follow Vuthar and hopefully, they will perform well against the demonic threat.

Action: Aid the dwarfs against the demons with the Frostguard.

Mithrata

The God of the Earth would succeed in his endeavors. Sensing the immense web of energy that interconnected the world he soon traveled to a sizeable human settlement across the eves of the world. The settlement was small and humble. Primitive wooden walls surrounded the rugged stone huts that made this village. Farmers planted and harvested the golden waves of wheat that surrounded the village. This settlement was a far cry from the large city-states of the previous era but a hearty settlement nonetheless.

Idvar

Idvar would enter the grand temple of Ponos that was carved into the mountains. Two gigantic three-headed lion-crocodiles guarded the Oracle who sat on a great pedestal garbed in silks inhaling the smokes rising deep from the mountains. She stared at Idvar the Lord of Illusion with a look of contempt on her face and raised her hands. "Lord Idvar you of all people should know that I require payment for my services nothing in this world is free..."

Comonos

Comonos would succeed in creating new females for the giant racea most fortunate turn of events indeed. He would however find that the giants would only be as intelligent then the humans, it seemed that granting them enormous amounts of wisdom was something beyond him for the moment and that it would cost a lot to make them more intelligent than humans. He also found that the great fortress he had built was soon attacked relentlessly by the jungle the plant and wild-life reducing it to ruins.

(Next time you build a grand fortress do an action for it please)

Laab'as

Laab'as would struggle initially finding a human settlement. Fate would be on his side and he would find a humble village nestled by a river in green fertile grasslands.

Hyztlet

"Same for you Lord Hyztlet I require payment for my services". The Oracle stated.

Crryus

Crryus continued painting the heavens. Unfortunately, Fate would not be on her side, and she found no mortals to come upon her. The part of the world she was located in was sparsely populated, perhaps if she found a location with more people her odds of being noticed would increase exponentially.

Khal'haldan

It seemed that this "Qun" figure was nonexistent and that Khal'haldan a suffered a momentary lapse of madness.

Vuthar

The Daemons would soon lay siege to the Dwarven stronghold Thag Todir a stone fortress that sat on a huge treasure trove of mithral ore. Thag Todir was an important mining citadel to the Dwarves and if that polis were to fall then the entire Dwarven Empire could collapse with it. A great energy barrier surrounded the stone city. Gigantic Dwarven crossbows launched powerful projectiles of fire at the Daemonic horde. The projectiles exploded on impact sending the Daemon soldiers sky high like ragdolls but the hordes commanded by Dark Lord Vataar were numerous and the dark soldiers continued their relentless march to the polis.

The Daemonic mages cast fell magic on the city, shaking the ground around them and their warriors attacked the barrier in a frenzied and chaotic effort to break it so that they could assault the walls. The Dwarves themselves armored in gleaming mithral and wielding battle hammers carved with ancient shouted battle cries and ran onto the snow-covered fields taking the battle to the Daemons themselves.

Vuthar and his Frostgaurd would have to formulate a strategy if they were to succeed in helping the Dwarves.

Armonk

The humans grew more restless with Armonk's demands that they farm the land when they clearly preferred the nomadic lifestyle of their ancestors. They began questioning their faith in him.
