Look at Surkiea's sig. 'Degenerate "Rights"' is a good one. Actually their entire sig is the manifestation of ignorance.

Regarding the poll question, despite my original expectations, yes. It is a good thing for Brazil, especially civil rights, because the relatively liberal legislature and supreme court are, in fear of the President fucking things up, passing more and more progressive legislature that they probably wouldn't if a reactionary pisspot hadn't come to office.
That said, not quite sure about the other aspects of his policy. Liberalism and progressive policies isn't gonna save the Amazon.

But sometimes you need a wrecking ball. The problem is you need someone else to do the rebuilding.

Who's going to rebuild the Amazon when he's done wrecking it?

Well I do not think he will knock down the whole thing.
I strongly disagree with his environmental approach but really it changes little.

His predecessors were destroying it while pretending not to.

Justified, yes. But in the end, they made no legitimate progress. Iraq took several steps backwards, actually. Middle Eastern power to a war-torn hell.

The only reason Iraq is a hellhole was because we left without establishing a stable government, we should have stayed for a few more years to make sure Iraq was secure.

Well that is part of it. You have to make people realize just how bad the political system has gotten to get a real change.
