Is your nation impoverished? Crumbling? Or, just starting out? Whatever the reason may be, your nation should consider joining the Crowned Democratic Union.
Founded in 1560 A.D. (After Drift) on the Oppermenian peninsula in the planet of Kegyeleem, the Crowned Democratic Union is a crowned federal republic and a world superpower. The Union advocates for democracy and human rights and holds collectivist policies within a capitalist system that turns poverty into a choice rather than an unfortunate circumstance.
Many states have joined over the years, some by force and some by choice. But now, Oppermenia invites smaller nations of the world to join the Union and become a part of Oppermenia to enjoy numerous benefits.
Member states can typically expect these benefits from being part of the Union:
*Protection by the Oppermenian military.
*Seats in Parliament for representation in the federal government.
*Citizens may vote in federal elections for Prime Minister.
*Citizens have protected human rights with emphasis on choice and control over their own bodies.
*The economies merge, uplifting the economy of the member state.
*Collectivist welfare policies and unionized work make poverty almost impossible to get into unless the citizen chooses to get themselves into poverty (choosing to be unemployed or homeless, etc.)
*(In some cases) Limited sovereignty and/or governmental autonomy within their borders. A prime example is Steinbaach, an old state reserving the right to call itself a republic and completely govern itself within its own domain while meeting other terms of the Union.
Now, there are terms of membership. In order to be a state of Oppermenia, states must meet the following terms:
*The government recognize the Oppermenian monarch as their monarch and Head of Union.
*All militaries belonging to the state must be sworn to the Oppermenian federal government.
*The state must have open borders with other Oppermenian states.
*The OPPcredit (Oppermenian currency) must become the official currency of the state.
*(In most cases) Sovereignty must be vested in the Oppermenian government, the state giving up some of its sovereignty.
As mentioned, sovereignty is something that can be bent. States can negotiate to keep most of its sovereignty and/or ability to govern within its domain. In fact, any term can be disputed through negotiations between your nation's leader and the Prime Minister.
If these benefits sound appealing, apply today to join the Oppermenian Union!
