TL;DR: Short statured man rants about height discrimination on a Bagel Boss shop (presumably due to previous mockery done by the establishment's workers) and gets into a fight with two men, followed by arguing with the shop staff.

The most provoking thoughts that can be extracted from this occurrence, in my opinion, isn't derived from the fact per se, rather due to the framework at which it is inserted on. For most involved in social media, it isn't infrequent to stumble upon ill-intended comments aimed at the stature of people, especially men, done by a public that is usually composed of women. Although there are other types of discrimination that are also spread around (especially those aimed at race, weight and social status), the topic of height discrimination is often unheard of -- even though it is a true nuisance for those targeted by it. As a matter of fact, not only was height cited as the second largest factor determinant of beauty by incels, as well as short men can have nearly half the amount of sex partners, and can get hit on dating sites up to five times less than tall men. The effect is also socioeconomic and may be even a public health issue: Each additional inch of height for men increases their lifetime income by $20000, and a Swedish study found out that being one inch shorter increases suicide rates by 5%.

All that said, I find it rather disturbing to see how struggles experienced by people like Chris Morgan (the Bagel Boss guy) are often overlooked by the same social justice fighters -- not to confuse with SJWs -- which are busy denouncing other sorts of bigotry that don't seem to be nearly as bad.

So, NSG, what is your take on this all? Is there someone (or some group) to blame for this discrimination, and is it relevant?

The whole point is that being extremely disadvantaged re: stature is a significant factor to let men (and women to some extent) behind not only in dating, as well as in socioeconomic conditions and mental health. As a caveat, Napoleon was average height for his time, and should be in no way representative of those who are truly struggling with height

I mean.. I think he has anger issues in general..

However, yes, height discrimination is a thing, much like anything that falls out of the average. Having said that I'm 6.3" so what do I care, I just reap the benefits, except:

1. Planes - frankly I should be automatically upgraded, especially on long haul.
2. Public utility - the amount of times I'm asked to get things from high shelves in supermarkets, or be general handyman. Once at a festival a girl next to me was like 'come over, I'm stood next to a tall guy', and I was a bit 'ok, now I have to stand here or you're going to have to follow me around for a while'.
3 - Clothes - specifically any form of trouser, whoever makes them seems to think the waist exponentially grows with the length of leg, meaning I'm always cobbling in wide waists on trousers.

Still, and not to indulge in whataboutism but for any girl to be outside the parameters of what is supposed to be pretty - too fat, too thin, too tall, too small - I mean I think the issue here is trying to delineate it into gender based issue as opposed to anything different is bad issue.

Partly perhaps, though that's partly offset by the fact there's lots of short people who don't get into fights all the time, don't post videos of them fighting along with bigoted views and don't spend their time beating up homeless people.
