Warden is a practical title. It gives him the power as a diplomat, as well as to form ad-hoc forces and units in order to instill peace. Judge, Jury, Executioner as well as Sheriff, Diplomat, and Spy. The man wears many hats. Normally Wardens are employed on foreign fields and colonial areas in order to brutalize the native populations into submission, figure-out newly bordering foreign powers, and squash any forms of rebellion. He has the power to, for practical reasons, ignore nobility as a rank in of itself (without a lot of practical backing, frills and fancy titles don't hold much water).

Obviously he won't be brutal about him ignoring such things (peace must be kept) but Kiles has his orders. Instill peace in the region between the Empire and the new foreigners or get rid of them.

Have you decided that he is staying with the Order, or are you going it alone? Your application casts two different lights on this, as if he is striking out from the Order to chase after the Strike Group.

He’s staying with the order to go after them. He might branch out and go by himself but not as of now. Is it accepted now that that is clarified?

I was referring to the Marquess having to exercise the powers of his Rank. Though I suppose if that is your intentions, I'll simply have to watch for the time being

I don't mean to retcon a whole lot of your post, Rup, cause I know you probably aren't aware, but there was an executive decision made in the discord by Legatia that only the Translator [and Lt. to a lesser degree] would be able to engage in understanding/speaking advanced English/Corlean translations. The other members of the CRP would know things like greetings [Hello, Good day/night/evening], introductions [I am (blank), We are (Essex Group, Friends, Good)], and basic words/commands [Come, Here, Go, You]

Figure I might as well lay the law officially down. Anyone who hasn't explicitly made it clear that they are interested in translating in their applications, beyond the LT for obvious reason, will be limited in their ability to speak Corlean to the natives for the time being. Members of the CRP will be able to give greetings, commands, and explain basic intentions like "We are here to help" or "Remain calm".

This may or may not fade away in the future, but this also goes for Corlean natives moreso. Natives should have a harder time communicating with the CRP unless they are able to translate.

So far most of the talk between the CRP/Natives has been limited, so we'll keep it that way for now. Just be advised in the future that you should be mindful of your linguistic abilities.



In addition, to anyone interested in applying, I held a vote over Discord and have established a new ground rule. Anyone that is interested in having a character in Strike Group Essex must also have an active character in the 1st CRP or as a Corlean Native, though this doesn't apply for anyone currently in the RP, only for future applicants. This is effective immediately.

It heavily depends on what specific army unit, there would need to be a reason for it to be deployed with the MEU.

That would be the problem. I'm in the Army Reserve IRL, which is why I would prefer to app for an Army unit, since I'm familiar with how the Army does things.

Maybe the Marines have an Army bridging company attached for one reason or another.
