I voted remain in 2016, but looking at the situation now, if there were a second referendum I'd probably vote leave. This has all gone far too far to have it not happen, and frankly no remain campaign would have enough traction to win anyway. It's a fucking mess, but there aren't any brakes on this train. The best we can hope for here is that the Tories make a complete foul-up of it (no worries there), and that it delivers Labour a solid majority in 2022. We lost our shot at toppling this government in by-elections when the CUKs threw away any hope of their re-election, meaning they'd never vote against the government in a confidence motion.

To be clear: This is all Nick Clegg's fault. The FTPA has deeply, deeply ruined politics by artificially maintaining this zombie government since Corbyn killed it in 2017.

If you haven't heard, this battle is over. It's now second referendum and remain, on the grounds that the soft-Brexit compromise is no longer something either side is prepared to tolerate.

Corbyn was initially doing the whole high ground unite the country shit and didn't catch the mood in the room that this was full blown Kulturkampf. This was the "We'll do the common market Plus deal."

Following this failing to appeal to brexiteers and his own party getting pissy it turned into gradually inching toward second referendum.
