When ever I look at the Libertarian Discussion thread, I always thought that there needed to be an opposite.
Anyways, this place is a safe space. A place in which the anti-liberals, anti-anarchist and anti-Libertarians go.
You shall discuss about everything that has to do with authoritarianism.

Definition of authoritarianism :an Ideology that advocates for strong central power and limited political freedoms.
What to talk about in this thread
1. Political ideologies in that Category

2. the importance or "uselessness" of authority.

3. hierarchy.

4. authoritarian points of view that any of you have.

5. what ever the opposition has to say.

The only other thing I want on this thread is mass participation, get involve. say your opinions.

I'm not opposed to the idea of this thread bein' a thing, but I have a feeling it's not gonna last very long. I feel like some random noobs are gonna start circlejerking about their desire to commit genocide and eventually get it locked. Not to jinx it but I just have that strong gut feeling.

I'm not Libertarian. I mean, when it comes to non economics, I'm great with that crowd. With economics, I'm quite centrist (according to the compass).

The Right-wing discussion thread has a nice amount of libertarians to debate with, so it is not Authoritarian. The Left-wing discussion thread is filled with anarchist and "Libertarian" Socialist.

To be absolutely fair, I'd imagine that not all authoritarians advocate for total or functionally total deprivation of free speech rights. I won't pretend to know what Communal concils believes in, but maybe it's a form of government that allows enough free speech to discuss philosophies of governance, at least to a limited extent.

well, I don't find free speech as a bad thing. It is the best tool use to increase popularity of the beliefs. If you use the correct rhetoric and the best tactics. Honestly the argument you use can be use for other societies.

In slave societies, a slave can be given food and water( just enough to live. sometimes pampered). However, they will suffer under the rule of their master. " How dare the slave rise up in opposition to their masters. We give them free food and water,and now they don't want this freedom", that is what lot's of slave master in the south use to say . opposition to the perceived right of a society suddenly makes your views illegitimate., that is what you are saying.

No, see here's the difference: Food and water are not antithetical to the beliefs held by enslaved people. On the contrary, those enslaved people wanted to have the freedom to choose their own food and water. However, free speech is antithetical to the belief of many authoritarians.
