"As for corporate taxes, small businesses that build the foundation of our economy can attain a rate as low as 10% of net profits if they are willing to work towards the goals we as a society share. I am confident that this bill will not be found overbearing to the good, hard working people of our nation."

I recognize that the current coalition government represents a wide spectrum of beliefs on a wide variety of issues, including that of taxation. And while it is clear that I do not quite see eye to eye with the honorable member on this issue, I am well-aware that compromise is a crucial pillar of any good government. While I stand by my assertion that even larger cuts would be beneficial to our people and our nation, I believe the good citizens of Saint Hilda deserve whatever tax relief this Parliament can give them."
