The Miaphysite Church of Coptic Archism wrote:"Madame Speaker, I am appreciative that there are honorable members to the right of my position who can make known their concerns in a reasonable and principled manner. The honorable member will be pleased, I am sure, to hear that the tax rates proposed in this bill are actually much more forgiving in terms of personal income than the rates our citizens were paying to Sweden prior to independence, so the member could reframe his thinking that this is in fact a tax cut for those who need it."

"As for corporate taxes, small businesses that build the foundation of our economy can attain a rate as low as 10% of net profits if they are willing to work towards the goals we as a society share. I am confident that this bill will not be found overbearing to the good, hard working people of our nation."

"I am indeed deeply appreciative that these proposed rates do represent a tax cut for the good citizens of our nation, and I am equally appreciative that the honorable member has responded to my concerns in a reasonable manner. I recognize that the current coalition government represents a wide spectrum of beliefs on a wide variety of issues, including that of taxation. And while it is clear that I do not quite see eye to eye with the honorable member on this issue, I am well-aware that compromise is a crucial pillar of any good government. While I stand by my assertion that even larger cuts would be beneficial to our people and our nation, I believe the good citizens of Saint Hilda deserve whatever tax relief this Parliament can give them."

“Is the Honourable Member aware that the government coalition which he is part of has agreed to vote for the bill as a part of the confidence and supply deal with the Center-Progressive Party?

Regardless, what I was attempting to ask was what the member meant by ‘immediate and necessary review of the proposal’.”

Albin Lundberg takes a break to momentarily check his phone. To his surprise, he sees a tweet from Christofer Larsson, the member who he's just been debating.

"Madam Speaker," Lundberg stands up to speak, "it seems that the Member for Gård would rather send out angry tweets from the chamber than clarifying his positions, especially seeing as he seems to be defying his own coalition's whip."

As Austin looked over the the agreement that his alliance drafted without him, and added

“Madam Speaker, as the SHAPC Deputy Leader, am I required to vote for the measure that reduces voting age to 16? This deal is not legally binding on me and it is extremely vague what each party has to do vs. what everyone has to do. If I have to vote for it, I will, but it would allow parents to control their kids’ votes.”

Anna Nilsson, somewhat irritated at the change of topic, says, "Madam Speaker, such a measure has not yet been formally proposed, as far as I am aware. The honourable member seems to be referring to an agreement that his party would support such a measure, if it were to be brought before the House. Also, I advise the honourable member to consult his party on such matters, rather than the Speaker, since he seems to be referring to a private agreement between two parties."

Madame Speaker, my question regarding data, so I shall clarify to minimize confusion. Is data pertaining to the number of citizens earning certain income levels available at this time? I am certain this data is vital for this debate, but also for this bill since we would have a better understanding of the potential effects of the proposed bill.

Austin turns to Lance, “maybe he can fight it, but I can’t. They’ve got me in a legally binding contract I never knew about, and I’m the Deputy Leader of a major Conservative party. It would look shady and completely destroy our deal if I voted against it, and we need this deal.”

OOC: The entire point of using the word "whispered" is to say that nobody else can hear.

OOC: the whole point of putting "whispering" is to talk IC without other IC members hearing you. It's a part of RP and it wouldn't make much sense for them to whisper at such high volumes, especially in a chamber.

You really shouldn't be able to hear them

And I'll empathizes this point too. Unless they "accidentally" left their mikes on, which would be at their discretion really, no one, except maybe members that sit next to them, wouldn't be able to hear their conversations.
