History:
2020s:
November 7th, 2020: A group of individuals conspire to rig the 2020 presidential elections in favor of democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. They devise a plan and get to work.
November 8th: The closest election in American history occurs as Bernie Sanders only wins by one vote in the electoral college. This election creates a lot of suspicion and people already begin to call it rigged.
November 10th: Hacktivist group 'Anonymous' sends evidence to federal authorities of the election being rigged. News of this spreads like wildfire, resulting in a recount of votes. This time, republican candidate Donald Trump wins the election.
November 11th: The perpetrators are arrested by the FBI. They will be sentenced to life in prison for electoral fraud.
November 13th: California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Illinois, Colorado, New Mexico, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin succeed from the United States. They declare themselves the 'Democratic States of America'.
November 14th: The Federal Government declares war against the break away states. Thus beginning the Second American Civil War. (After 2021, more factions split off from the initial sides. Including Communists, Fascists, Anarchists, Libertarians, Puerto Rico Separatists, and others.)
February 21st, 2021: Protests in China result in the assassination of Xi Jinping by radical anti-communists. Riots occur in Beijing and Shanghai, resulting in army personnel opening fire on protesters. Over 2,000 people are killed.
February 22nd: Tibet, East Turkestan, Inner Mongolia, and Manchuria declare independence from China, while Taiwan (ROC), Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, and various factions within China declare war on the PRC. Thus, leading to another Chinese Civil War.
March 19th: Due to lack of Chinese support, North Korea collapses. South Korean forces begin to March across the DMZ.
April 20th: South Korean forces capture Pyongyang, and declare "Korea is now united". Remnants of the North Korean army surrender to South Korea.
October 5th: The Russian Federation declares war against Ukraine and the Baltic States. The EU retaliates by declaring war on Russia.
October 9th: Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, and Italy declare war on the EU. While Turkey, Albania, Kosovo, and Azerbaijan declare war on Russia. The UK and Norway begin sending weapons and supplies to nations at war with the EU. Belarus, Armenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, and Georgia side with Russia.
January 14th, 2022: Israel and Saudi Arabia sign a pact to end the ongoing civil wars in both Syria and Yemen.
January 21st: Israel and Saudi Arabia begin invasions of Syria and Yemen. Also, the Japanese economy collapses due to a lack of American and Chinese imports.
March 15th: Syria and Yemen have fallen. Resulting in tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia to increase.
December 24th: A series of unofficial ceasefires occur in both the American Civil War and Euro-Russian war. Soldiers stopped fighting each other for 3 days. They chatted, drank, and even exchanged gifts. After that, they went back to fighting each other.
October 5th, 2024: The worst cyclone in recorded history strikes Bangladesh and Eastern India. Wind speeds exceeded 170 mph/ 273 kph. Major cities such as Dhaka and Kolkata are devastated, and resulting in $300,000,000,000 in damages and 278,000 deaths. Yet no one bothered to help.
July 9th, 2027: The EU surrenders after Berlin and Brussels both fall within the same week. The Treaty of Volgograd is signed. Russia annexes Southern Ukraine and Belarus, while puppeting the rest of Ukraine, the Baltics and Finland. Georgia and Armenia gain land from both Azerbaijan and Turkey. Hungary gains Transylvania. Italy gains Trieste, Corsica, and Albania. Occitania, Brittany, and Normandy gain independence from France. Bavaria leaves Germany and becomes a puppet state of Austria. Belgium is split into Flanders and Wallonia. Catalonia, and the Basque Country gain independence from Spain. Serbia annexes Kosovo. The EU is dissolved, and all EU nations are forced to pay war reparations. This war has devastated Europe. Over 40,000,000 people had died in those 6 years of war. Thankfully, no nuclear weapons were used.
October 17th: The UN meets in Moscow to decide which nations replace the US, China, and France as permanent members of the security council. Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Italy become permanent members of the security council.
March 15th, 2029: Russia, Ukraine, The Baltics, Kazakhstan, Finland, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Bavaria, Serbia, Georgia, Armenia, Catalonia, The Basque Country, Occitania, Brittany, and Normandy establish the Eurasian Defence Alliance. Meanwhile, the British start to fear that Russia may target the UK next.
September 13th: The Greater Commonwealth Pact is founded between the UK, Norway, Canada, South Africa, The Bahamas, Guyana, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nigeria, Ireland, Bangladesh, Belize, and Japan as a response to "Russian Expansion across Europe".
December 31st: As we move into the 2030s, a lot more has happened. A nationalist party rose to power in Japan, vowing to restore their empire. Tensions between the Commonwealth and the Eurasian Alliance continue to heat up. Syria and Yemen have both stabilized. The American and Chinese civil wars have still not ended. Islamist parties are rising in popularity across France and Germany due to immigration. Korea is now the largest economic power in the world with a GDP of 5.4 trillion dollars. Things get a whole lot worse from here.
2030s:
January 5th, 2030: A drug-resistant strain of cholera is discovered in Pakistan. It spreads to neighboring Afghanistan and causes over 50,000 deaths from contaminated water supplies within a week.
April 7th: Russia and Korea both intervene in the Chinese Civil War and invade Manchuria. Manchuria falls within a month and is split between Russia and Korea.
November 14th: After a naval skirmish in the Persian Gulf, Iran declares war on Saudi Arabia. Israel, Iraq, The UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan declare war on Iran.
November 15th: Iran fires several secret nuclear missiles towards Saudi Arabia and Israel. Israel retaliates by firing several nuclear missiles towards Iran. The nuclear exchange kills over 45 million people across the middle east.
November 16th: The war ends at the request of the UN security council. A humanitarian crisis is declared across the middle east as clean up and relocation operations begin within 72 hours.
November 17th: An emergency meeting of the UN security council occurs in Moscow to discuss potential courses of action in the middle east and which nation will replace Saudi Arabia as a permanent member. Indonesia becomes a permanent member of the UN security council.
August 4th, 2031: Several major volcanic eruptions occur in Japan within a 24 hour period, resulting in pyroclastic flows and heavy ash pollution. Over 7,500 fatalities are recorded in the next few days.
December 19th: Despite conservation efforts, the Aral sea and lake Chad have both completely dried up, resulting in water shortages across West Africa and Central Asia.
July 14th, 2033: UN estimates make a startling discovery. Approximately 650,000,000 people across both India and Sub-Saharan Africa are without clean water sources. Water rationing is now in force in both regions of the world. Mass famines have begun across both areas.
October 11th: Chad declares war on Niger over remaining water supplies in Niger. Several other African nations intervene in the war, resulting in the largest war in West African history. The Commonwealth intervenes to defend its member state of Nigeria.
July 24th, 2034: Several oil fields and pipelines start running dry in Saudi Arabia. This leads to the collapse of the Saudi Arabian economy, which is based on oil. Within the following week, similar events occur in Iraq, Iran, and Jordan.
December 31st: The first half of the 2030s has already been a disaster. This may be the beginning of man's decline. Resources are running out. Wars are becoming more common. Diseases are mutating and becoming deadlier. The civil wars in America and China still rage on, and combined have caused almost as many deaths as WW2. Tensions between the Commonwealth and Eurasia continue to sour as Japan prepares to begin re-expansion of its empire. Weather is becoming more extreme, and more destructive.
