And it seems to me that cryptocurrency and NFTs and such suddenly have a whooooole lot of shovel salespeople.

1. What, properly speaking, should the department color for a historian be? Some cannon sources say red, like McGyvers in TOS although she technically had a separate duty as a phaser gunner according to the script. Some TNG sources point towards the blue sciences department... but then you run into the issue of is history a science? Really the writers probably should have made that the “research” department of Starfleet more tha science but hey hindsight.
History is a social science. But beyond that really ST tends to ignore the "historian" profession and instead emphasizes archeologists who are as far as I'm aware a type of scientist. So blue really.

The being behind the fantasy was backpedaling hard enough that its understandable that it would say dumb shit in increasingly desperate attempts to maintain the illusion. It clearly made a mistake even when under less pressure when it accidentally let slip the Ambassador Tomalak gaffe.
I've been specifically paying attention to Troi during this series re-watch, the stereotype that Troi is useless and states the obvious really doesn't seem to hold up. She's way more useful than people give her credit for.

The perfect deception is the one right in front of us. The true founder and leader of the elite Romulan intelligence force was the one closest with its enemies.

Fed has "evolved" beyond Health and Safety, that is why heavy barrels must never be tied down.I’m surprised nobody has filed an OSHA report yet

Where else would you store explosives? Next to the children's play area? That is already used for dangerous diseases.Fed has "evolved" beyond Health and Safety, that is why heavy barrels must never be tied down.I’m surprised nobody has filed an OSHA report yet

Funnily enough, two descriptors not actually incompatible with a mary sue. Nowadays, mary sue is usually used as a shorthand for a character, usually female, who is deemed by the speaker to be too strong/good at everything, but it's really more of an umbrella term. While a mary sue's creator rarely thinks of their creation as either, though they sometimes are purposely incompetent, often mary sues act in insane or stupid ways, and only succeed because the creator wants them too.

You don't need to tie things down if you have inertial dampeners. Never you mind that those things shut down if you look at them funny.

What episode was it that Janeway was prejudiced as fuck towards holograms? I cringed when she did that, as I assumed that she'd know better.
