Section One: History

The Empire of Thrashia rose about from the confluences of several interest groups connected through their affiliation with the noble houses of Kuat. The empire was founded by an ambitious family known as the House of Shadaum. Living in the Braxant Sector and using the backing of powerful Kuat Drive Yards assets, the House of Shadaum under Augustus Shadaum III conquered that sector and united it with the powerful Kuat Family of Kuat. The great abundance of natural resources which the Braxant sector could provide and the economic vitality of the Kuat sector created a firm foundation for an ambitious young empire.

Very soon however the other families of the new empire could not stomach an emperor even if they directly benefited from the creation of the empire. As such they organized the assassination of the entire House of Shadaum. The royal family's private cruiser had its hyperdrive navigational computer corrupted and when the Emperor Shadaum III attempted to make a hyperspace jump to Kuat System, they instead jumped into the center of a local star. The sabotage was blamed on Coredian rebels and a campaign to stamp them out was shortly carried out. A young commander, aggressive and ambitious, Treize Kushrenada rose to power and ruled.

Emperor Treize's rule did not last more than a few years before jealous rivals rose up and instigated an assassination plot.

In the wake of the emperor's death and his family's a power struggle erupted between the major families in the Braxant Sector. One family rose above the rest due in part to the backing of the Kuat Family and the assistance of a Chiss commander, named in his native tongue Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Lured into Imperial service by the Kuat Family, Commander Thrawn led the forces of the Kaine Family to victory over their opponents and in 30 BPD the empire was once again at peace.

Leading the empire now was Regent Ardus Kaine. In return for his services, Commander Thrawn was promoted to Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy and made its de facto commander in chief. With the promise of being free to use his resources as he saw fit and shape the Imperial Military accordingly, Thrawn was more than willing to cooperate.

By machinations that came to bear fruit within the last decade, a Sith Lord infiltrated the Thrashian civil government and tried to engineer a civil war within the Empire. The last heir to the Shadaum throne was killed by the Sith. Fortune favored the Empire however and the majority of the military and civilian leadership remained loyal to Regent Kaine. Darth Vaco, as the traitorous snake became known, managed to escape justice and is at large within the galaxy.

A decade after the creation of the Thrashian Regency, the galaxy-spanning conflict known as the 'The Great Chaos Incursion' took place. Galactic nations from one end of the galaxy to the other were affected. Even the Regent perished, killed by the vile actions of a surprise Chaos assault upon Bastion. Many Thrashian soldiers died defending the Empire and in the joint-effort to destroy the Chaos threat. The Empire's greatest military leader sacrificed his life to help end that threat, with many tears given after the news that Grand Admiral Thrawn was dead.

In the wake of the changed galactic politics and in order to start afresh, without the baggage of previous entanglements, the Thrashian Empire transferred itself from its old home to the Milky Way Galaxy. Lock, stock, and barrel -- heavy industry, citizens, mineral wealth, and even the construction rings of Kuat itself were hauled away and into the Expanse Gate. A new home now lies ahead, a new life, within the Beta Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy. And now, more than ever, the Thrashian people are driven to succeed and carve for themselves a home. To commemorate this new change the daughter of the former regent and widow of the grand admiral, Dheinelia Vera Nuruodo, was crowned Empress -- the first monarch to rule the Empire in over three decades. Such an auspicious beginning to the new age of the Empire is promising.

"Few understand what it means to be an empire. Few understand why it is that we serve one being above others. They do not comprehend our culture, ancient and preserved as it is. For a Thrashian, service to the Empire is service to oneself. All as one and one as all. Within that we may shape out individual destinies and help to create a stronger, unified Empire."
- Grand Moff Noventa
Commencement Speech of the Declaration of the New Empire

Description: The Validusia-class naval station came about as a result of the Imperial Navy's need for an efficient and large enough station to refuel and resupply an entire fleet task force at one time. The Station is modular and easily broken down for transport between systems. The station proved to be a success and well enough defended in its own right as to be capable of acting independently in deep space. These stations have now become a staple for Imperial naval stations.

Sound Cancellation Disruptor
A device that masks any and all sound within a specific, target area. The device absorbs any and all sound waves that touch upon it and then replays those same sound waves in a mirror-like affect, slightly out of phase. The waves cancel each other out and thus mask all sound within the designated area. The device is a special metal that is created to attune to sound waves and vibrations, usually in disk form to absorb the maximum amount of waves. Commandos are known to utilize the SCD disks in their operations. Those affected in the affected area experience total deafness and, to their personal experience, appear mute.

Section Three: Fleet/Army Organization

Imperial Fleet
The Imperial Fleet is commanded by a Supreme Commander, a man holding the rank of Grand Admiral. At present Grand Admiral Thrawn is in command of the Thrashian Military as a whole, but the Fleet specifically. There are eight Admirals beneath the Supreme Commander, each commanding a fleet. They are Admirals Orannis, Daala, Tyrik, Valorum, Manech, Guren, Piett and Teshik. The command structure branches down from there. There is also a Reserve Fleet under the direct command of the Supreme Commander.

The Imperial Fleet utilizes numerous different types of ships, numbering in the thousands. With the Fleet continually upgrading its military hardware it is a nigh impossible task to account for every single ship and fighter of the fleet. Often times older model ships are taken to scrap yards where they are disassembled and melted down to form the necessary materials for newer and better ships.

Thrashian Imperial Fleet Organization
- Consists of five levels of command and organization.
  • Line: The most basic combat formation in the Imperial Navy was the line of battle, or simply a line, and the smallest organizational unit used for space combat. The Imperial Starfleet shaped 4 to 20 starships into lines, depending on the type of line. The line was the most amorphous level of organization in the Starfleet. The Imperial Starfleet Order of Battle outlines seven types of lines: attack, heavy attack, reconnaissance, pursuit, skirmish, troop and torpedo.
  • Squadron: the smallest independent operating unit in the Imperial Navy. Composed of several lines, a squadron is commanded by a rear admiral or higher and ranges from 14 to 60 ships, depending upon the composition of the lines in the squadron. A squadron is [usually] the largest concentration of ships normally assigned to a single system.
  • Systems Force: combining several squadrons under the command of an vice admiral or admiral, referred to as a commodore while leading a systems force. These combined forces are responsible for Imperial Fleet actions across multiple star systems. Rather than outline specific formations of system forces, the Imperial Starfleet Order of Battle lends flexibility to commodores to pool the whole of their naval resources and shape them as necessary missions require.
  • Fleet: Where all previous units were generally bound to specific system or set of systems, the Imperial Navy designates a fleet as a "sector resource", allowing it to operate on a sector-wide scale. A fleet is the smallest unit transferred between sectors. With such a large number of units, there are thousands of potential types of fleet alignments. Common fleet deployment types included superiority fleets, assault fleets, and bombard fleets. Other examples of alignments that a fleet might take include a deepdock fleet, support fleet, or ordinance fleet.
  • Sector Group: A sector group is the sum total of naval strength which the Empire expects to commit to a normal sector. A fleet admiral commands a sector group, a title usually granted to the Moff who governed the sector until Grand Admiral Thrawn officially removed all military powers from system and sector governors. A sector group could be expected to contain at least 2,400 ships, 24 of which are Star Destroyers, and another 1,600 combat starships.
  • Regional, Oversector and Strategic Military Commands: Roving fleets aimed at specific tasks, the composition and command of which is based at the discretion of the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military. Usually consisting of a higher than average number of capitol ships and super dreadnoughts than normal.

  • Rear Admiral
  • Commodore
  • Senior Captain
  • Captain
  • Commander
  • Lieutenant
  • Ensign
  • Warrant Officer

Imperial Army
  • Grand Marshal
  • General
  • Major General
  • Lieutenant General
  • Colonel
  • Major

  • Second Lieutenant
  • Warrant Officer

Clone Legions
  • Clone Marshal Commander
  • Clone Senior Commander
  • Clone Commander
  • Clone Colonel
  • Clone Major
  • Clone Captain
  • Clone Lieutenant

Notes: Each rank in the Imperial Fleet is by necessity one rank higher than its shared moniker in the Army. Therefore a Fleet Lieutenant has the same level of authority and rank as an Army Captain. The same results from the Clone Legions: an Army Lieutenant has the same authority and rank as a Clone Trooper Captain.

Section Four: Military Organizations & Others

Imperial Army
Led by Grand Marshal Maximilian Veers, the loyal masses of citizen soldiery who make up a strong fighting force. Trained by clone troopers to be as effective as possible, the Imperial Army is capable of fighting with most foes, yet is more often than not a simple auxiliary force that is used to back up the regular clone army. They are however equipped with the same armor and weaponry as the clone armies, meaning that many of Thrashia's enemies confuse the regular Imperial Army with that of the Clone Legions. Picture of a Imperial Army Regular

Major Generals Everywhere

There are far more corps HQs than there are corps. This represents an abundance of more than pleasant jobs for officers, some of whom are perhaps less than brilliant officers but have time in-service; the corps HQ is the basis for the Imperial Garrison. The Empire requires garrisons to be organizational focal points for rapid mobilization. Realizing that, in a crisis, units may have to be sent from many parts of a sector, the Army wanted HQs in place which could take command of all these separate parts.

As Imperial doctrine currently holds that a corps is a sufficient force to retake any planet, corps HQ are set up as the basis of Imperial garrisons. As garrisons also have diplomatic, trade, and research functions, additional tech, medical, science, and diplomatic service personnel are assigned to them. These are nominally outside the major generals' command, but reality often puts the general in charge.

The typical military contingent that is at any garrison is at the regimental level, most often with four battalions mixed in a way which is optimum for the world on which the garrison is situated rather than following a rigid ORBAT. A battalion of stormtroopers, one of AT-STs, and two battalions of heavy armor is a popular configuration for the typical garrison. Most garrisons also do not have access to the latest TIE fighter models, but must content themselves with whatever a wise commander can scrounge.

Clonetrooper Legions
The stormtrooper/clonetrooper soldiers are unquestioningly loyal and ardent in their efforts to execute the Empire's will. Whether it is to sack a planet and destroy its inhabitants or protect a lonely outpost, the clonetrooper armies are molded to be set for any task necessary. They are the best of the best and pride themselves on nothing less.

Over all strength: 8,192 per Legion

Thrashian Clonetrooper Armor
Empowered Microbiotic Combat Armor Plate [EMCAP]
It's designed to absorb the energy created by the wearer's movement. The simple act of walking a distance of 100 meters is enough to keep the suit powered for 24 hours. It's completely self sufficient in regards to maintaining optical HUD electronics and comms. Optical advancements have improved by 300% over the older Mark III Clonetrooper Armor; the wearer is able to see in all normal visible spectrums, as well as ultraviolet spectrum, nocturnal vision, and heat dissipation, etc.

The armor itself is more resilient to absorbing thermal and plasma-based weaponry and is made from a poly-carbonate based silicone that behaves similar to ablative armor, which can reform and repair damaged molecules given a designated length of time outside of combat. It's current rate is one square inch per thirty minutes of time reparable.

The fibre-suit beneath it is also important and integral. It's specifically designed to enmesh the wearer in a pressure-vacuum seal that can better withstand physical trauma and explosive decompression. The fibre-bundles are designed from nanotechnology developed to increase the strength of the wearer. With this 'under suit' you can increase a normal human being's strength three times beyond maximum, peak normal. Other attributes such as reaction time and speed are also increased as a side effect.

The armor and fibre-suit also have an interlinked neural implant system that interfaces between the wearer and the suit itself, allowing the wearer to mentally control any of the various functions, which also includes emergency medical tools, such as pain suppressants, dopamine injectors, and adrenaline. The HUD also has a small AI-supported system to assist the wearer upon command.

Note: In order to be more fair to the clones and realizing that moral is important and vital to clones, Grand Admiral Thrawn saw to it that after a clone finished his training and was considered a trooper of the Imperial war machine, then he be given the anti-aging formula that would halt the accelerated growth rate that had been part of their original genome upon being grown. This made it so a clone could, after being discharged from duty due to age or wounds, live a relatively normal life after finishing their duty. Thrawn also set up a Clone Retirement Fund that gave each retired clone a yearly stipend of credits based on their former rank and service. Many clones after, they are discharged, are used as colonists for new worlds around the Empire.

Imperial Navy
The largest military organization within the Thrashian Empire, the Imperial Navy - or Imperial Fleet as it is sometimes called - is responsible for the control of space and the domination of the stellar battlefield. Without the dedication of its service members, from the lowest crewman responsible for cleaning engine parts to the ship captains who command the vessels of the Navy, the Imperial Navy would not be what it is today. Most consider the Imperial Navy to be superior to the Army or Clone Legions, creating a strong spirit de corps. The Imperial Navy is also the home of the Stormtrooper Corp. Imperial Naval Stormtrooper

"The time you spend at the Imperial Naval Academy is the longest period of officer's training in the Empire. At the end of thirty months of rigorous physical and academic training, you will receive a commission as Warrant Officer, Ensign, or Lieutenant in the Imperial Navy. You will know more than your peers, and have greater responsibilities than your peers. If you perform your duties well, they will not remain your equals for long. Officers from the Imperial Naval Academy, on New Bastion, are recognized as the very best the Empire has to offer. You will serve the Empire best by mastering everything you have come here to learn: the behavior and standards expected of an officer of the Imperial Navy. If you are selected for flight school, you have even more demanding training ahead after your graduation. You are expected to complete it with the same degree of excellence you will show in your general academy studies. Our credo is 'Service. Fealty. Fidelity.' This may be the first time you have heart it. By the time you graduate, it is the one you will never forget."

-- Except from New Bastion Imperial Naval Academy's Cadet Indoctrination Speech delivered by Fleet Admiral Ishin Koga

Imperial Survey Corps & Imperial Exploration Corps
The Imperial Survey Corps (ISC) was a branch of the Imperial Military, more specifically the Imperial Navy, whose duty was the exploration of the galaxy. It was a sister organization of the Imperial Exploration Corps, also a branch of the Imperial Navy. To fulfill its mission, the ISC was often staffed with scientists and scouts. The ISC's preferred scout vessel was the MRX-BR Pacifier, which embodied the Imperial scout's mindset with its powerful weapon systems and two backup hyperdrives. The longevity of its mainstay vessel allows the ISC to send scouts out on extended missions, sometimes lasting for years.

The Imperial Exploration Corps (IEC) was a branch of the Imperial Navy tasked with the exploration of known regions of the galaxy to locate planets which could be used to supply either resources or personnel. They were a sister branch of the Imperial Survey Corps. Their task has been greatly eased by the local mass production of the Cognitio-class Probe Vessel, which has been utilized by the ISC, IEC, and the Imperial Ubiqtorate.

Special Organizations

Imperial Knights
Image
In order that the Thrashian Empire is never at the mercy of either Jedi or Sith Force users the Emperor Treize founded a school of Force users that did not pick either the "light" or "dark" side of the force. Rather these "gray knights" used the Unifying Force to fight and control their powers. The Imperial Knights are charged with the protection of the Realm and of the Emperor. They are led by a Grand Master.

Imperial Ubiqtorate
The organization responsible for all Imperial Intelligence gathering is the Ubiqtorate. Agents of the Ubiqtorate tend to be far more interesting characters than is normally associated with the regularly uniformed service members of the Empire. Though Imperial Naval Intelligence and Imperial Army Intelligence do not operate under Ubiqtorate authority, they are subject to reviews by them -- a contention which has caused friction between the organizations on more than one occasion.

Further Details of the Thrashian Imperial Army

Within the myriad morass of the Imperial Army, made up mostly of clones, there is much more diversity than one would expect on but a first look. Since most nations have only experienced the look-alike white armoured army stormtroopers or the newer model Clone Legions with whom conformity is a part of life; most would be surprised to find that in the newer legions that have since been formed and created, that there exist several different types of clonetroopers within the Thrashian Imperial Army.

There are many improvements that Thrashian armorers have made to the traditional stormtrooper uniform. Helmet sensory devices and communications gear have been markedly improved. Armor strength was also an issue and as such was improved using new alloys and ablative materials so that it better absorbs and diffuses an energy blast or shrapnel.

The current armament and mainstay of the stormtrooper corp is the new ARC-99 Blaster Rifle, or more commonly known simply as the ARC Blaster. It is far more accurate and powerful weapon than the traditional E-11 Blaster Rifle, which in turn has resulted in the DC Blaster having a greater power drain, meaning that it has fewer shots per ammo-energy pack. Some units within the military still operate older model, but reliable, DC-15s. Most planetary militias and police forces use E-11s.

Section Five: Imperial Economy

At the heart of the Thrashian economy is planetary trade. Intra-planetary trade can support a local economy, but, in many cases, the higher levels of government spending required for an advanced society such as Thrashia's can only be funded by interplanetary exports. While some planets maintain their own shipping fleets, most rely on large freight firms, such as Banston Transport Systems (a firm owned by the Banston Family, to whom Moff Banston is a son to the current patriarch of the business), or independent freight haulers to carry their goods along major hyperlanes. This is further expanded by inter-galactic trade with foreign governments and allied nations.

Droids are an integral part of the Thrashian economy and programmed for a number of uses, including construction, excavation, repair, piloting, maintenance, mining and other labor. The advantages of using such droids were that they could work in inaccessible and dangerous environments that most sentient species could not, as well as not needing pay or other perks sentients would. As such the vast majority of the Imperial workforce consists of droids.

Slavery, or forced labour, is ostensibly outlawed within the domain of Thrashia. However for those individuals who break the law of the Empire but are not sentenced to death, a lesser sentence is usually given. That lesser sentence usually consists of being sent to asteroid mining facilities or are given, through the Imperial Security Bureau, to the mines of Kessel, where the Emperor owns a significant plot of territory.

To compete in the galactic economy, many planets within Thrashia chose to focus their economy at a planetary level. Planets with a valuable natural resource would focus on its export, while other less fortunate planets would achieve success through economies of planetary scale. Entire planetary surfaces often were devoted to grain fields, droid factories, or mineral mining. These are especially common in those systems governed by pro-Guild moffs and planetary governors.

Other planets, however, (at least in earlier times) voluntarily chose what might be described as deliberate non-specialization. Small-time farming was the ideal. Herding and hunting also took place. Concentrating not on mass export but rather on providing for themselves, they were largely dependent on imports to sustain their non-agricultural needs. In some ways these worlds could be thought to rank alongside the more poverty stricken but in reality they served as the perpetual customers for which more developed systems existed to supply, thus creating a constant stimulus for commerce.

Imperial Revenue Codes govern the process of taxation in the Thrashian Empire. Under them, the burden of proof is on the taxpayer (at least for conglomerate corporations); failure to provide adequate proof of having paid taxes is taken as admission of guilt. Penalties range from confiscation of property to imprisonment in labor camps.

In return for the support given to the Corporate Sector Authority, the Empire collects a yearly stipend of 3% of the total gross product, 9% of all material, and 20% of all strategic rare elements coming out of the Corporate Sector.

Description: A race of oviparous beings who stand on average at 2.5m in height and have four limbs. They are ostensibly peaceful and prefer to settle dispute by ritual acts of strength testing. Due to their hardiness, they're often hired in manual labor projects. Their people are ruled by a king, Opopokakita VIII. The King's champion was defeated in ritual combat by a member of SCAR Unit 9, Sergeant ST-0930, Johan Cisko. As a result, the Chanrorn swore fealty to the Empire.

Name: Zo'la'tu
Status: Client People
Image: Image
Description: A near-human species of wanderers, the Zo'la'tu are highly spiritual. Their religion is based around the Four Prophets, a quadruplet set of two brothers and two sisters, who believed in a metaphysical existence beneath reality. Their people must achieve an inner peace by service to the greater good of others. Zo'la'tu have an innate connection to the Force, as it is known to Thrashians, but only to a limited degree. They're famous throughout the quadrant for being able to foresee the future and are sought as seers and seeresses. They agreed to become client citizens of the Thrashian Empire after one of their leading religious leaders had a prophecy.

Name: Eloria
Status: Client Empire
Image: Image
Description: The Elorians are a genetically and biomechanically enhanced subspecies of humanity. Their cultural norms evolved around the integration of biomedical technology into their genetically enhanced physical forms. Their understanding of biomedical technology has made them a useful addition to the Empire. In return for being a client state, they are given protection and the right to rule their collection of systems according to their own laws and traditions.

Name: Piradians
Status: Client State
Image: Image
Description: An aquatic species that is minimally telepathic, the Piradians originally opposed Thrashian annexation of their territory. However, due to the overwhelming disparity in respective strengths, the Piradian Hierarchs agreed to accept Thrashian suzerainty. Because they accepted it, though less than readily, the Piradians were given only a minor occupational garrison. Their skill with deep space communications and advanced spatial navigation have made them some of the best astrographers and advanced mathematicians in the Empire.

Name: Forn
Status: Client State
Image: Image
Description: The Forn are a mammalian species known for their stoicism. They thrive in the creation of new things, renown as some of the best metallurgists in the quadrant. They readily accepted the appearance of the Empire, in return for being allowed access to Thrashian databases and material sciences. They've become intimately associated with Kuat Drive Yards.

Name: Elderizi
Status: Client State
Image: Image
Description: A species the communicates through a series of pheromones and guttural vocal scores. Highly advanced in teleportation technology, they have developed innovative mining techniques that the Empire is interested in.

Name: Koraleck
Status: Client Kingdom
Image: Image
Description: A militant species that commonly takes up mercenary work for the highest bidder. They accept Thrashian commissions for pacification campaigns against barbaric, low-tech planets that refuse the Thrashian Empire as overlord.

STARFIGHTER COMPLIMENT: 2 Wings -> 12 Squadrons -> 144 star fighters (5 TIE Interceptor Squadrons, 1 TIE Scout Squadron, 2 TIE Mangler Squadrons, 2 TIE Demolisher Squadrons, 2 TIE Hunter Squadrons)

Description:

The Bellator-class incorporates a marginal amount of the firepower available to the Executor-class SSD and adds to it the maneuverability of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Thanks to its double-reactor design the Bellator-class is able to outpace larger vessels and has the power to take on multiple capital ships at once. The Bellator-class also addressed the inherent problem that plagued the Imperial-class, by inputting sliding armored doors that cover the ventral hangers, which are of new design: allowing for instant deployment of star fighters en mass should the commander wish it. The Bellator-class can also accommodate twice the complement of stormtroopers that the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Mk II can, allowing for a wider range of deployment options. Some designers were worried about the reactors ability to compensate for both weapons and maneuvers, however a new design in the reactor allowed it to be 34 times the output of a ISD Mk II, putting it nearly on par with the Executor. At peak efficiency weapon tests it was found that the Bellator could unleash via an alpha strike, with all it's turbolasers and ion cannon, equivalent to 50 ISDs.

STARFIGHTER COMPLIMENT: 24 Fighter Wings -> 144 Squadrons -> 1,728 strike craft | 8 Missile Boat Squadrons

Description:

The new class of Super Star Destroyer that will replace the Executor-class SSD is the Assertor. The Assertor took the imperfections of the Executor and resolved to improve on them. The result was a Super Star Destroyer with easier maneuvering abilities and a more powerful punch than the Executor, which was deemed to be too much of a battlecarrier, able to launch thousands of starfighters but lacking the threat potential to large fleets composed of numerous capital ships. Though shorter by several kilometers than its great predecessor, the Assertor's improved upon reactor and turbolaser cannon armament have allowed it to hit far harder with less than what the Executor did with more. Grand Admiral Thrawn himself approved of the Assertor's design, allowing the for decommission of two of the four Executor-class Super Star Destroyers that Thrashia has within its navy.

650 x Dual PD Laser Cannon

STARFIGHTER COMPLIMENT: 50 Fighter Wings -> 300 Squadrons -> 3600 Star Fighters and other craft

Description: The Legator-class Dreadnought is the penultimate in battlegroup control and sector patrol. It is a highly capable class, rival in firepower to the Bellator-class, but sporting a sensor suite that rivals anything else in the entire Imperial Navy. It is capable of command and control capabilities reaching across an entire sector, or overseeing activities within a single system with the kind of control that only a master maestro could expect from the best musicians alive. It's design borrowed heavily from elements of the Mandator-class, an older KDY design from centuries before. It's heavy armor and shield projection ability allow for the kind of dreadnought that any fleet admiral or battlegroup commander would kill to possess and command.

Description: the Praetor Mark II possessed a dagger shape, similar to other prominent warships in the Imperial Navy and was part of the KDY Star Destroyer design family. Like the Bellator-class dreadnought and the Assertor-class Star Dreadnought, the Praetor Mark II-class battlecruiser was designed with a central "ridge" structure that went from the stern of the ship midway to the bow. The ridge on the Praetor Mark II also extended behind the stern, beyond the main thrusters. The Praetor Mark II had three primary engines and four secondary engines, two of which were located on the outer areas of the ventral portion of the ship, with the other two placed directly behind the ridge extension on the stern. The Praetor Mark II, like the Executor-class Star Dreadnought, lacked a visible ventral reactor bulb, hiding its reactor equipment within thick layers of armor. However, combined with being more expensive than individual Star Destroyers and less versatile, production on the Praetor Mark II has stopped. Only a few remaining examples of it exist within the Empire, given special missions or controlled as the flagships of Imperial moffs or admirals. Due to it's ability for being on patrol longer than any other ship in the Imperial fleet, it's not unusual for the Praetor Mk.II-class battlecruiser to be sent out to the fringes of Imperial space for exploration and mapping duties.

Cruisers

Secutor-class Star Destroyer
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Philips Brosnan/Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Fleet Carrier
LENGTH: 2,300 meters
CREW: 11,140; 942 gunners
PASSENGERS: 14,000 troops
SPEED RATING: 40 MGLT (Light Years) Space
HYPERDRIVE: x3
POWERPLANT: 1e25W
HULL RATING: 17,750 U
SHIELD RATING: 18,600 U

WEAPONS: 24 x Quad Heavy Turbolaser Cannons
6 x Dual Super Heavy Heavy Turbolaser Cannons
3 x Dual Heavy Ion Cannons
20 x Heavy Missile Tubes
200 x Point Defense Cannon

STARFIGHTER COMPLIMENT: 8 Fighter Wings = 48 Squadrons = 576 fighters

Description: Seeing as how the older model Imperial Escort Carrier, capable of carrying an equal number of fighters as the Imperial-class Star Destroyer, was becoming outdated and outgunned as time passed, the Imperial Navy commissioned KDY to produce a new model fleet carrier capable of acting independently of escorts and with a much greater carrying capacity. The result was the Secutor design, noted for harking back to the Clone Wars era with its tower hull design, one to control the ship and the other to control fighter operations. The Secutor proved itself able to stand up to enemy capital ships in toe-to-toe combat, its heavy shielding and armament enabling it to take on even dedicated battleships. The true brilliance of the Secutor shines through in its ability to deploy an entire wing of TIE starfighters at once, proving its ability as a battle-carrier.

STARFIGHTER COMPLIMENT: 8 Fighter Wings - 576 Fighters and Bombers

Description: A battlecruiser meant to help alleviate the need that the Allegiance-class cannot fulfill (due to lack of a Fighter Wing complement), the Procurator-class is highly sought after by system, sub-sector, and sector fleet groups. Capable of fielding a larger fighter complement than most ships of its class, some commanders have considered this class to be more of a carrier; however, it's fully capable of barreling through combat with the brashness of a ship-of-the-line.

Description:

Seeing the need for a stronger destroyer than that of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer but not the same length and power of the Imperial-class, the Allegiance class was created. Thanks to its double-reactor design, the Allegiance-class is able to out pace larger vessels and has the power to take on multiple capitol ships at once. The Allegiance-class follows along the same design philosophy that was demonstrated by the older Tector-class, where there is no fighter wing complement.

92 x Dual Point Defense Turrets
696 x Missile Tubes
COMPLIMENT: [No Standard Yet Set]
DESCRIPTION: Due to the obvious advantages of a capital ship armed with heavy missiles, which have never been a strong component of the Imperial Navy's repatoire. The long standing exception had been the Victory-class Star Destroyer Mk. I, which had served well for many years in conjunction with other ships-of-the-line. The new Tyrant-class is far and above any normal improvement, but rather a battlecruiser class vessel dedicated to missile weaponry. The vast number of missile tubes it fields allows the Tyrant-class to easily engage in fleet-wide actions, punching the enemy from afar at ranges far outside of heavy turbolasers. It has the ability to unleashe a deluge of missile fire that can potentially overwhelm any opposition it may face.

Star Destroyers

Procursator-class Star Destroyer
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Philips Brosnan/Kuat Drive Yards

POWERPLANT: 1e24W
SPEED RATING: 3300g maximum acceleration
HYPERDRIVE: x2
HULL RATING: 2675 U
SHIELD RATING: 6760 U
CONSUMABLES: 2 years supplies

13 x Quad Medium Turbolaser Cannon
32 x Quad Light Turbolaser Cannon
24 x Concussion Missile Tubes

COMPLEMENT: 6 x Mu-class Shuttles and 2 TIE Squadrons

Description:

A very no-frills kind of "pocket" star destroyer for fleet flanking and screening duties, is the Procursator. Even though it is smaller than conventional Imperial-class Star Destroyers, the Procursator can still easily stand up to larger capitol ships in a fight. Its speed can match that of smaller vessels, such as corvettes, and is very adept at tight maneuvering. Without a hanger for fighters, the Procursator was able to incorporate a newer model of reactor, allowing for it to have the increased speed and weaponry output to the envy of Imperial enemies. Put into full production, the Procursator is expected to take the place of smaller and older patrol craft within the next ten years. It exists as a mass production fleet pack boat, like a fast Victory or a heavier, fighter-less Venator. Pretty useless for anything except heavy combat, being without troops or fighters, but economical to run and very economical to build.

STARFIGHTER COMPLIMENT: 6 Squadrons - 72 fighters

Description:

The newest model of the old yet faithful Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Mark IV is a true symbol of Imperial military prowess and prestige. Engineers added an extra 100 meters to the Mark IV in order to put in place the newer and larger reactor. Additional weapons systems beyond that of the Mark II or III have been added, as well as a greater amount of point defense. The Mark V has been ordered into full production but is still not entirely taking over from older models. The Mark V also includes retractable hanger doors on its ventral hull, additional to the improvements that were found in the creation of the Allegiance-class.

SHIP COMPLEMENT: 16 Starfighters, 6 transports

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Description: Kuat Drive Yards decided to produce their own Interdictor offering to rival that of Seinar Fleet Systems by using an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer hull as a base. To make room for the gravity well projectors, half of the turbolasers and ion cannons, as well as eight of the tractor beam projectors found on the original Imperial-class Star Destroyer, had to be removed. The Interdictor-class Star Destroyer's reduced hangar holds only sixteen starfighters. The Interdictor-class Star Destroyer did not require additional support when performing patrol and customs duties. Some bold commanders such as Loka Hask even used the ship to pull armed convoys out of hyperspace and destroy them. Nonetheless, like the Immobilizer, the gravity wells remained a major drain on the ship's main reactor. This had the potential to compromise defenses in heavy combat. A single Interdictor-class Star Destroyer can locked down half a star system with it's gravity well generators. Two or more working in concert can lock down an entire system.

Description: A re-design of the classic Victory-class Mk.1, the Mk.III is a far more lethal addition to the Imperial heavy cruiser range. Divesting itself of the older Mk.II upgrades, the Mk.III focuses the greatest of it's offensive capability in it's heavy missile launchers, with can launch salvo after salvo in quick succession; added to which are specially designed aerials that are capable of further guiding each individually launched missile - even through heavy jamming and heavy ECM - or at least more reliably than in the past. It's secondary complement of weaponry is nothing to be ignored either -- it's turbolaser complement easily giving it parity with the Venator-class Star Destroyer, the VicStar's old rival.

Acclamator-class Mk. III
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Van Deen/Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Heavy Cruiser
LENGTH: 810 meters
CREW: 1,278; 302 gunners

Description: Made to counter starfighters and bombers, the Crusader-class corvette carried as many weapons as it could without compromising its space-worthiness. Crusaders were known to utilize an advanced point-defense weapon system that allowed the ships to actually shoot down enemy missiles or torpedoes before they damaged friendly ships. This made the corvettes a valuable support addition to a fleet. Created originally by the Mandalorian company Mandal Hypernautics, KDY acquired the production license and quickly began producing them in numbers, as the Crusader proved to be more than adequate at system patrol and fleet support.

Patrol Craft & Other Craft

Intersector-class Patrol Ship
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Van Deen/Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Cargo Ship/Patrol Ship/Anti-Pirate Missions/Anti-Fighter
LENGTH: 40 meters
CREW: 3; 6 gunners, 1 tractor beam operator
PASSENGERS: 16 clonetroopers (2 squads) and four swoop bikes
SPEED RATING: 20 MGLT (Light Years) Space
HYPERDRIVE: x2
HULL RATING: 1,550 U
SHIELD RATING: 2,600 U
CONSUMABLES: 2 months
WEAPONS: 4 x quad laser batteries
2 x light turbolaser batteries
12 x Missile Launcher Tubes
1 x tractor beam

Description:

Based upon the popular YT-series of transport/cargo ships built by Corellian Engineering Corporation, Imperial designers were able to cut back on nonessential flair to the ship. By reducing its cargo capacity, a larger shield array could be fit inside, making the Intersector as durable as most corvettes. This feature has paid great dividends for System Patrol forces as they battle pirates or hunt down smugglers, with both the speed and weaponry required for both.

D-5 Mantis-class Patrol Craft
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Prisoner Transport/Patrol Ship/Anti-Pirate Missions
LENGTH: 68 meters, 74m wide, 58m high
CREW: 8; 5 gunners
PASSENGERS: 32 clonetroopers (4 squads) and eight swoop bikes
SPEED RATING: 20 MGLT (Light Years) Space
HYPERDRIVE: x2
HULL RATING: 1,550 U
SHIELD RATING: 2,600 U
CONSUMABLES: 2 months
WEAPONS: 3 x twinlinked-laser batteries
2 x ion cannon
1 x laser cannon

Description: Built for combat, the rare, compact-framed D5-Mantis was a best-in-class patrol craft, designed to compete with—and meet the demands of—much larger starships, such as Interdictor-class cruisers. The vessel utilized three retractable armament foils with independent power supplies, allowing it to safely use weapons meant for larger vessels. The foils also significantly reduced the ship's profile, allowing it to land or dock in more confining spaces than other ships would be able to use. A surprising number of D5-Mantis patrol craft could, therefore, be tightly packed into carrier ships presenting a nasty surprise to enemy vessels. The D5-Mantis engineers also made extensive use of a vertically economical interior design to condense and fully utilize space. The vessel's small bulkheads accommodated large, open areas and improved the ease of maintenance.

Imperial Navy Craft Continued

Star Fighters & More

TIE Demolisher
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Sienar Fleet Systems/Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Assault Bomber
LENGTH: 13.2 meters
CREW: 1 pilot, 1 bombardier
MAXIMUM ACCELERATION: 3,200 g
ATMOSPHERIC SPEED: 1,150km/ph
HYPERDRIVE: None
HULL RATING: 20 RU
SHIELDS: Yes, 25 RU
CONSUMABLES: 2 x Emergency Packs
WEAPONS: 2 x SFS L-s9.3 wing-mounted laser cannons
3 x Chin-mounted proton-torpedo launchers
34 x Concussion Missile Launchers

Description: A successor to the TIE Scimitar Assault Bomber, the TIE Demolisher has become the mainstay of the Imperial Navy's Star Fighter bomber wings. Faster than the original TIE Bomber and it's predecessor both, the improved engine and energy distribution system of the TIE Demolisher allows it to mount better weaponry and shields in addition to increased velocity. It can mount a wide variety of payloads, with each rear-mounted launcher capable of holding a magazine of three missiles each. The versatility of it's weapon systems and increased lethality allows the TIE Demolisher to live up to it's name, crushing and demolishing the Empire's foes with relative ease.

TIE Hunter
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Sienar Fleet Systems/Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Multi-Role Starfighter
LENGTH: 9.6 meters
CREW: 1 Pilot
MAXIMUM ACCELERATION: 4,300 G
ATMOSPHERIC SPEED: 1,250 km/h
HYPERDRIVE: 1x
HULL RATING: 20 RU
SHIELDS: Yes, 20 RU
CONSUMABLES: 3 Days, 1 x Emergency Pack
WEAPONS: 2 x L-s9.3 chin-mounted Laser Cannons
2 x Wing-mounted Ion Cannons
4 x Proton Torpedo/Concussion Missile Launchers

Description: A shoot-off of the TIE Defender project, the TIE Hunter was intended to be a cheaper multi-role fighter than the more specialized and heavily armed Defender. Unlike nearly all other Imperial starfighter craft, the Hunter possesses S-foils. Possessing many of the attributes of the TIE Interceptor, which it exceeds in velocity, the Hunter is intended to be the future of the Imperial Starfighter Corp's mainstay fighter. The fact that it is equipped with a hyperdrive, shielding, and extended consumables for it's pilot allows the TIE Hunter to greatly enhance it's mission profile and exceed the limitations that are placed upon the TIE Interceptor and other non-hyperdrive capable starfighters in the Imperial Navy.

TIE Mangler
DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Sienar Fleet Systems/Kuat Drive Yards
COMBAT DESIGNATION: Heavy Attack Strike Craft
LENGTH: 13.6 meters
WIDTH: 8 meters
CREW: 1 Pilot, 1 Gunner
MAXIMUM ACCELERATION: 4,100 G
ATMOSPHERIC SPEED: 1,250 km/h
HYPERDRIVE: 1x
HULL RATING: 20 RU
SHIELDS: Yes, 20 RU
CONSUMABLES: 3 Days, 1 x Emergency Pack
WEAPONS: 3 x L-s9.3 chin-mounted Laser Cannons
2 x Wing-mounted XV7 Light Turbolasers
4 x Proton Torpedo/Concussion Missile Launchers [8 proton torpedo/16 concussion missile magazine]

Description: The history of the Mangler Program is a myriad beast. The standard TIE Fighter was a very dangerous craft in the hands of a good pilot, but most pilots rarely survived a single tour in the very fragile fighter before they could learn to fully exploit the speed and manouvering quirks the TIE series offered. The far more capable TIE Interceptor was seen as a major improvement and a step in the right direction, but other craft were also to be developed to counter Rebel and Pirate fighters. Their first offering was not a fighter but what SFS called a ‘Heavy Attacker based on the TIE series for ease of maintenance and supply’. What they designed was a monster 14 meters long and 18 meters wide with dagger like wings similar to a TIE Interceptor as well as an enlarged cockpit that, whilst visually similar to a standard TIE pod was larger and would fit the crafts two man crew. Almost half again as large as the TIE Interceptor the ship was more like a small shuttle and its hull section was packed with systems which included a shield generator that was roughly as capable of resisting fire as the older ARC-170 fighter as well as, most surprisingly, a hyperdrive motivator. The Mangler was a straight up attack craft, its turbo lasers gave it a huge punch but it was far less suited for patrols or interdiction duties, but the firepower of the turbolasers couldn’t be underestimated. The big fighter’s proponents also pointed to successful engagements where the ‘fighter’ had destroyed a pirate controlled CR-90 corvette with just their turbolasers when operating as a squadron of six fighters -- without expending other valuable ordinance. The TIE Mangler hs become to be seen as the domain of the elite of the Imperial Fighter Corps and TIE Bomber Pilots who survived several tours, forming the core of the Mangler pilots pool. This elite status of the Mangler has made it a constant within the Imperial Navy Starfighter Corp, even if limited in numbers to that of the TIE Defender and TIE Hunter classes.

Description:

The newest design in the lineage of the age-old and faithful military vehicles used by the Imperial Military, such as the AT-TE, the AT-SE lives up to all of the destruction and power that comes with the hallmarks of its predecessors. Armed with the newest weaponry and improved weapons and targeting systems, the AT-SE can act as a mobile artillery platform for any Imperial commander; or can take on the role of heavy assault, which the dated, but still used AT-AT walker fills. The AT-SE was designed to be more compact and powerful than the AT-AT, thus sacrificing cargo capacity (and thereby the amount of troops that can be housed within it). This however is only a small detraction from its main use in assaulting heavily fortified enemy positions.

Description: The newest model repulsorlift tank, the Broadsword-class is a testament to the powerful destruction that such a versatile vehicle of war can wreck upon a battlefield. Designed with the intention for direct assaults, the Broadsword-class tank is heavily armored and shielded, allowing for it to survive onslaughts of enemy fire that would destroy or cripple a lesser armored vehicle. TheBroadsword-class also has the carrying capacity to carry half a platoon of clones in its rear passenger holds, making for the quick deployment of specialized clonetroopers trained for quick and bloody assaults.

Description: The Imperial Army requested the creation of newer and more deadly repuslorlift tanks from the BIA company after the success of the Broadsword-class. Their requirements were for the same basic maneuverability, but heavier armament. Imperial Army doctrine was moving towards much more manevuerable vehicles, with less focus on heavy walkers or even heavy wheeled vehicles such as the Juggernaught, and the BIA Inc. aimed to please. The Scythe-class hull enables it to be modular in it's armament and battlefield roles. Few other such vehicles can mount such a wide variety of weaponry as well as the Scythe-class.

Description:

A recent addition to the Imperial Army, the All Terrain Artillery Platform is a marked improvement over past Imperial designs for a mobile artillery platform. The AT-TA was designed by none other than General Maximillian Veers himself, with all the necessary specifications that he thought such a walker needed. It's main battering, the large mass driver cannon mounted in the rear of the walker, can fire a number of different projectiles, all of which are powerful enough to cause massive damage to any would-be enemy. For added ground attack as well as air defense, the General saw to it that two turbolaser batteries were added, each capable of either fending off an aerial threat or adding their destructive power to any ground assault. For anti-infantry defense, eight light laser turets were added strategically across the skirt of the walker, making for a 360 defensive arc.

Section Eight: Special Commando Advanced Recon Program

A program that had been remaining within nebulous planning stages for sixty years, this old yet promising program was brought to life on orders from Grand Admiral Thrawn; who had analyzed the data records on the program. He felt that with some adjustments, the program could once be a promising and powerful addition to the Imperial war machine. As such the new program followed the older one almost to the letter. Through contracts with the Mandolorians and one of their leaders, Jango Fett, over a hundred mercenaries and the best skilled assassins, soldiers of fortune, and fighters in the known galaxy were hired to train them.

The Thrashian cloning masters eagerly delved into the genome presented by Jango Fett himself, saying that if "Mandos are going to train them, then they had better be of Mando stock." Their behavioral patterns were left almost entirely untouched. After completing standard flash training and accelerated growth, these clones were placed under the direct tutelage of Jango Fett and other training sergeants. Under Fett's strict discipline they learned to use their fierce independence, innate creativity, and physical superiority in combination with their training in advanced weapons and vehicles to become virtual one-man armies.

In order to be more fair to the clones and realizing that moral is important and vital to clones, Grand Admiral Thrawn saw to it that after a clone finished his training and was considered a trooper of the Imperial war machine, then he be given the anti-aging formula that would halt the accelerated growth rate that had been part of their original genome upon being grown. This made it so a clone could, after being discharged from duty due to age or wounds, live a relatively normal life after finishing their duty. Thrawn also set up a Clone Retirement Fund that gave each retired clone a yearly stipend of credits based on their former rank and service. Many clones, after they are discharged, are used as colonists for new worlds around the Empire. This obvious care for their future well-being by Grand Admiral Thrawn has caused a strong sense of loyalty from all clone troopers from the average trooper to Null ARCs.

There are however different types of SCAR troopers:

Null-class SCARs
100 Nulls were created by the cloning masters but they did not apply the standard behavior correction and simply enhanced the prime clone's genetic sample to increase physical prowess and mental abilities. The result was "death on legs." These 100 Nulls were trained by Mandalorian mercenaries, taught the Mandalorian language, culture, and traditions.

Alpha-class SCARs
The Alpha-class SCAR troopers were developed following the growth of the Null-class troopers, numbering a thousand in all. Although the Alpha-class SCARs were created with unaltered independent minds just like their Null-class predecessors, these second generation SCARs are more obedient and reliable to Imperial officers. However, this does not stop the ARCs from voicing their disagreements, or even their opinion of an officer's order that the ARCs see as incompetent or lacking of enough strategy.

SCAR Troopers
Because Imperial High Command wished to have a more obedient and larger force of commandos. These clones are more loyal and obedient than the Alphas and Nulls but are more independent to their more common brethren; this allows them to handle more delicate missions that have a broad objective. The commandos can devise their own ways of completing it. The commandos are placed into squads (nicknamed "pods") of four commandos each and are trained from "birth" in those groups. They received both flash training and manual instruction from the hired Mandalorians. There are roughly 10,000 Imperial Commandos at any one time.

Types of Combat Roles
Commando
Storm Assault
Assassination
Infiltration
Intelligence Gathering
Sabotage

Section Ten: Mandalorians

Within the Empire of Thrashia there exist several independent but strongly associated nations and peoples that act as allies and friends to the Thrashian People. The Fett Clan of the Mandalorians are one such group. The Mandalorians—known in Mando'a as the Mando'ade, or "Children of Mandalore"—were a nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species and multiple genders, all bound by a common culture. In their early years, the Mandalorian culture revolved around battle, with war being a source of honor and pride in their community. The leader of the Mandalorians was known as the Mand'alor, translating to "Sole Ruler" and was rendered as "Mandalore" in Basic. Due to the fact that Grand Admiral Thrawn helped provide security and a home to Clan Fett, it's leader Jango felt indebted to the Chiss leader and agreed to aid the Empire in the future.

Commando Team Aurek Cabur
Leader: Hondo Karr
Members: Jorn Harkas, Vex Boates, Domino Varr, Nicolo Fett, Jenk Raquine, and Marcus Toland.

Until Details and Skill Sets

Hondo Karr

Background: Former member of the Mandalorian Protectors, the small national army of the Mandalorain nation, and as close to a friend as one can be to Boba Feet, the current reigning Mandalore. Born and raised a Mando, Hondo is tough as they come and a seasoned combat leader, having been part of the pacification of the Unknown Regions under the Mandalore in his deal with Grand Admiral Thrawn to find the Mandalorians a new home. Hondo believed in that ideal and fought hard until it was achieved. After the war he retired from the Protectors and went into the bounty hunter business.

Skills: Charismatic leadership, exotic hand-to-hand combat techniques, master of jet-pack maneuvering

Jorn Harkas

Background: Once a hardliner of the Death Watch movement, Harkas as a merciless bastard when he chooses to be. However when Fett became the new Mandalore and brought prosperity to the Mandalorian people, Harkas realized how mistaken his former philosophy had been and decided to swear an oath to protect the new lively hood of the Mandalorian people. Though service in the Protectors he came to serve under Hondo Karr, who convinced him to be a fellow partner in bounty hunting after the war ended.

Skills: master of blaster-pistol marksmanship, heavy weapons speacilist

Vex Boates

Background: The only female member of Hondo Karr's crew, she is as seasoned a veteran of combat as any of them and far more lethal in some respects, for she is far more unforgiving than all others since she feels the need to make up for the fact that she is female. She was denied entrance into the Protectors by a sexist recruiter and was only kept from killing that same man by Hondo Karr.

Skills: advanced marksmanship in all blaster weapons, master of knife fighting techniques

Domino Varr

Background: Practically nothing is known about Varr's past except that he acted directly under the orders of the Mandalore and carried out numerous missions that were even more highly classified than that of the regular Mandolorian Commandos.

Skills: assassinations, long-range marksmanship, infiltration & reconnaissance

Nicolo Fett

Background: The second son of the famous Boba Fett. Nicolo has had to deal with a lot of pressure in having to live up to his father's legend and that of his older brother Jango. This has caused Nicolo to strive harder than any other to achieve his mission objectives, often in a very reckless nature. As such the Mandalore had Nicolo put under Hondo's tutelage to better develop his skills and abilities without being surrounded by reminders of what his older family members had already achieved.

Skills: explosives expert, advanced jet-pack maneuvering, master slicer

Jenk Raquine

Backgorund: a former ARC trooper of the Thrashian Empire, Jenk was bred for war. After the end of his standard time of service he was released from military service but found the mundane life of a civilian too boring. He was recruited by Hondo into his group at a tap-cafe on Persephonie, after Hondo witnessed Jenk single-handedly take down a swoop biker gang that had been bothering the local district.

Skills: Advanced guerrilla & conventional combat techniques, small arms master, affinity for grenades

Marcus Toland

Background: Marcus is the only member of the group that was not born a Mandalorian or created from Mandalorian stock. Marcus was in fact a member of the vaunted Thrashian Imperial Knights that act as the protectors of the ruling Emperor and to safeguard the realm. Marcus was however reprimanded by his Grand Master for actions he took to solve a crisis endangering the lives of several thousand citizens, those actions deemed far to excessive. Deciding that he could not fit comfortably within the Imperial Knights anymore, he left and was inducted into the Mandalorian culture by Hondo Karr when the pair met each other at the gambling establishment known as The Wheel and were both attacked by opportunistic pirates. He has used his Force abilities to enhance Hondo Karr's team on many a job.

Skills: master of lightsaber combat forms I-V, advanced Force combat techniques, infiltration & reconnaissance

“The important considerations of defense are combined in utilization of terrain and coordination of fire. The natural defensive characteristics of the terrain should be improved, and camouflage should be used freely. A fully coordinated use of all available weapons must be arranged; strength should be conserved by keeping the losses in personnel and materiel down to the very minimum; and exact dispositions, strength, and intentions should be denied to the enemy as long as possible. A well-organized defense capable of quickly and effectively reverting to the attack, with cunning and deception enshrouding the movements and dispositions, will offset hostile numerical superiority."
- General Maximilian Veers, Lectures at Bastion Academy

Imperial Army and Fleet Units of Note

Details concerning the most notorious and famous units within the Imperial military, their commanders, past campaigns and other facts. It should be noted that most clone army formations were grown together to form better unit cohesion.

35th Infantry Division, 3rd Legion
Standing Strength: 17,390

- Created ten years prior to the assassination of Emperor Shadaum III, the 35th Infantry was a unit was meant to be a regular line unit. However they showed exemplary ability in breaking tough enemy positions, as when they fought and defeated the separatist movement on Adumar. The unit has been in existence for four years active duty, having spent the previous ten growing to full size and fulfilling their training. Their starting strength was 25,000; however due to their constant campaigning on the different Imperial fronts in taming volatile worlds in the Unknown Regions, they have suffered several casualties.

Command Cadre:

1)CC-2339, Commander “Becker” - is the clone commander of the 35th Division. He is considered humorous when not on duty, but always takes his missions seriously and has deep concern for his men. He has great respect for General Krause, as he has served under him for two different tours of duty.

2)CT-1889, Major “Levet” - Levet has served alongside Commander Becker for the same time as the commander of the 35th. They were both “born” in the same batch and trained together when younger. He is steadfast, calm, and always cool under fire.

3)CT-1877, Captain “Burns” - Mando stock. Trained in the same batch of clones as Levet and Becker. He is renown as a “wild” clone, for his aggressive command style and foul Mando'a mouth.

35th Infantry's Uniform Details

501st Legion
Standing Strength: 180,000

- One of the most notorious army units ever in the Galactic Imperial Army, known as "Veers' Fist," is the 501st Legion. Since its inception the 501st has lived up to its reputation and made up new and more famous exploits to add to its service list. Unlike some other clone army formations, the 501st has a select genome that its clones are based off, and as such the unit always welcomes replacements; making the 501st one of the most unorthodox clone units.

Command Cadre

1)CC-3638, Commander “Appo” - the third clone commander to bear that name as commander of the 501st Legion, Appo is also a clone of Mando stock and like his predecessors, takes his job very seriously while at the same time bearing a strong sense of individuality. He is constantly looking out for enemy threats, both external and internal, and can usually predict the commands that his superiors will give him; making him often times take preemptive action before an order is even given.

2)CT-8893, Major “Vill” - also an inherited clone name, this is the 2nd clone to use it. Vill is a dedicated leader and while he cherishes the Mando culture that his training instructors gave him, he is very loyal to the Empire and believes that he and the men under his command are the most important part of that Empire.

3)CT-5538, Captain “Keller” - is considered a strange clone, as he has a cynical streak as large as a Star Destroyer. That does not however keep him from living up to the standards of the 501st and his is a impeccable soldier.

501st Legion Uniform Details

88th Scout Battalion, 76th Legion
Standing Strength: 9,530

- The 88th are considered a special unit within the Imperial Army, as their clone genome comes from an Imperial Guardsman, the elite of the elite. This fact alone makes each trooper of the 88th a little bit more proud than his fellow clones. However it makes the other clone units sometimes mock the 88th, since they are not of Mandolorian gene stock. That however has not kept the 88th from absorbing Mandolorian culture and language. The commanders and majority of the NCOs of the 88th were trained by Null ARCs. This made them both deadly and highly individualistic in thought. The 88th served alongside the 35th during the Adumari Rebellion and have proven their skills time and again throughout the Unknown Regions.

Command Cadre

1)CC-1138, Commander “Jinx” - an almost maniacal personality in his audacity to take risks that other clone commanders would have hesitated on, however he is highly dedicated to his job and prides himself in knowing that his men can get a job done better than any others.

2)CT-43/333, Major “Nye” - almost as “crazy” as his commander, Nye is however very serious in personality and will only relax once the mission is done.

3)CT-98/447, Captain “Ox” - nicknamed that after he carried his speeder bike for twelve kilometers during his first tour of duty, Ox is a determined and driven clone commander that will not stop for anything less than total victory.

88th Uniform Details

3rd Armor Battalion, 12th Legion
Standing Strength: 14,780

- Trained under the tutelage of General Maximilian Veers himself, the 3rd Armored is one of the best heavy assault units in the Imperial Army. They gained a love for armored vehicles and siege weaponry and the skilled use of its application in combat from the training they received from General Veers and others. They have served in constant combat for the past three years in helping to pacify the Romic and Khan Systems.

Command Cadre:

1)CC-0193, Commander “Bardis” - A clone of Mando stock, Bardis was imbued by his training sergeants with a deep love of all things mechanical and the belief that if you put enough heavy artillery rounds into something, it will always fall.

2)CT-7459, Major “Hardy” - nicknamed after having demolished a rebel defensive wall “the hard way,” Hardy is a dour commander who is methodical and some would say predictable. However he cares for his men and their machines with a deeply rooted fanaticism.

3)CT-6654, Captain “Noir” - believes that armored combat troops can solve any situation, thinking that nothing else can stand in the way of a few AT-ATs when applied correctly.

3rd Armor Uniform Details

66th Legion
Standing Strength: 124,380

- specialize in long patrols on alien planets, often operating in primitive and grueling conditions while forging alliances with indigenous populations. The methodology of the 41st Elite caused the special unit to quickly become known as specialists in hostile terrain warfare (as well as alien recruitment and counter-insurgency experts).

Uniform Details

1st Legion
Standing Strength: 200,000

- "Imperial shock troopers" is the nick-name of the 1st Legion. They were trained to fulfill various battlefield roles and carried a wide variety of equipment. Some, equipped with rocket launchers and thermal detonators, acted as anti-vehicle units on the battlefield. Others, equipped with DC-15 blaster rifles and DC-17 hand blasters used by clone troopers during older times, act as security on strategic locations throughout the Empire. Some shock troopers utilize jetpacks for additional mobility in battle, much like the Jumptroopers.

Uniform Detail

'Imperial Hammers' - Imperial Army Armored Battlegroup
Organization: An armored battlegroup was comprised of two armor regiments, two vanguard armor regiments, and battlegroup headquarters. It included >16,346 personnel, 1,132 repulsor craft, and >318 heavy tanks.
Motto: "Strike to kill!"
Short History: The Imperial Hammers Elite Armor Unit, more commonly referred to as "Hell's Hammers," was formed in the early years of the Thrashian Empire after the conquest of the Outer Rim territories belonging to the Malrood Sector. The Hammers found themselves assigned to assaulting enemy outposts, subjugating enemy-sympathetic planets, and forcibly inducting worlds into the Empire. Working in concert with stormtroopers and regular Imperial Army soldiers, the Hammers were employed to assault the defensive perimeter of outposts, eliminating soldiers, fixed weapon emplacements, airspeeders and starfighters. With the defenses cleared, stormtroopers or Imperial Army soldiers could be disembarked from armored transports and were then able to breach enemy bases. The Hammers were also deployed in traditional armor engagements; equipped with the most powerful repulsor tanks in the Imperial Military, the Hammers were used to spearhead assaults into enemy-held territory, destroying and overrunning most opposition they encountered. Under the command of Colonel Zel Johans, the Hammers were a fast-moving, hard hitting assault force with a reputation for getting the job done, no matter the cost.

Design

Camouflage
The standard 'steel gray' of most Imperial vehicles is the factory setting for the TIE MBT. It's base armor color can be adapted as seen fit in the field, so long as it's kept within regulations and does not impair the side and rear-mounted solar arrays.

The TIE MBT has a Projected Active Camouflage System (PACS), enabled through carefully mounted system of holograms, enabling it to become near invisible to the naked eye. By capturing it's surroundings, the PACS can effectively conceal the Acheron within any environment.

However, in field testing it was found that adverse conditions such as rainfall, smoke, dust, or other particulates that can heavily move around a battlefield can cause the outline of the Acheron to be seen. However, the ability to otherwise avoid line of sight direction, immediately, and enable the Acheron to take the first shot in any engagement was judged to be more than worth the risk.

Acheron crew members are taught not to rely on the PACS too much, or risk falling into situations unfavorable to the abilities of the PACS system.

Concealment
The turret of the Acheron is fitted with two six-barrel mounted chaff launchers. These can create a thick cloud of smoke, filled with reflective particulates to help fend off tracking devices -- both from heat signature and laser guided armaments.

The Acheron is also equipped with the All Directional Sensor System (ADSS). The ADSS is a highly advanced AI-run program and sensor system that allows the Acheron to take on a limited Electronic Counter-Measure ability. When necessary, the ADSS will direct the outflow of power from the Acheron in order to conceal it's signature from enemy sensors. The ADSS is also able to control the advanced climate control system aboard the Acheron, fluctuating the temperature to such levels as to make it far harder to detect as an likely target; whether this means cooling the tank to lower temperatures, or cranking it to tropical climes, is up to the ADSS.

Active Shield Protection System
In addition to it's armor, the Acheron is equipped with the Active Shield Protection System (ASPs), nicknamed the "asp" by it's users; an apt name for what it features. The ASP system is integrated with the ADSS, and helps to project, from six separately mounted projectors, a shield like that used on starfighters in space.

However, because the constant use of such a shield would be too draining on it's engines and make the matter of concealment (both from sensors and by the naked eye) far more difficult, the shield is not maintained at all times. Instead shield power is kept within a pair of capacitors within the tank, from which the ADSS can direct to any of the six shield projectors on the hull of the Acheron. Here the ASP comes into affect - snapping the shield into a directional vector, much as an ancient knight would move his shield to block an incoming blow.

Field testing has shown the ADSS to be able to detect an incoming projectile and activate the ASP system in less than 0.5 seconds at a range of 1 kilometer when detected; that being for a 'hard round' or solid projectile. Field testing showed the time between detection and shield projection to be at 1.1 seconds at a range of 1 kilometer when detecting energy-based projectiles. Certain environmental factors are also calculated into the system when it comes to effectively bringing the ASP online. The sensor net maximum range for the Acheron's ADSS is roughly calculated to be 10km.

The downside of the ASPS is that it must restore the capacitors after several uses. The Acheron's commander would have to devote his main engine's power to this job for at least five minutes for a partial fill, and for ten minutes to bring the capacitors up to full. It's estimated that the ASP can take perhaps a half dozen starfighter-grade laser cannon blasts before needing to recharge its capacitors.

Integrated Battlefield Unit Network System
Complementary to the ADSS is the Integrated Battlefield Unit Network System (IBUNS). It is basically an enhanced version of the Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) System. The AI-enhanced computers aboard each Acheron can link together on the battlefield via wireless and laser signals. By this method a tank commander can not only be aware of his own tank's situation and position, but also that of his platoon's, platoon leader's, and higher. However, the scope of how far up the chain of command a tank commander can "see" is dependent upon their rank.

The IBUNS also helps to increase the effectiveness of the ASP System, as the integrated network allows the battle AI to detect calculate the trajectory and likely impact of any projectile that poses a risk not only to it's own tank, but also to those of any other tanks linked to it via IBUNS.

IBUNS also facilitates communication between tanks via holographic, vocal, and typed messages. Communications are kept encrypted by a constantly changing, AI-controlled program that requires initial set-up before battle for IFF purposes.

Armor
Due to the nature of combat that the Thrashian Empire often finds itself within, actual plated armor is of little actual help. Far better to be harder to hit and to see, than it is to try slugging it out. The Acheron is not, after all, an AT-AT. However, with improvements in materials engineering and sciences, the Empire has been able to adapt a new type of armor for the Acheron.

It utilizes a specially designed molecular-layered carbon-crystalline plate -- one millimeter of which is equal in strength to ten times that of normal plasteel. The reason why this armor, known as MOLAC armor, isn't used more widely in nearly all military vehicles and vessels of the Thrashian Empire is due to the complex and time costly method of producing it. The Acheron is able to mount only 20mm of MOLAC armor which, with it's angular-deflective hull design, enables it to handily deflect solid projectiles up to 700mm of penetration.

The carbon layers within the molecular-layered design are also able to disperse heat far more effectively than any other metal known to the Empire, meaning that energy weapons (at least most small arms) are mostly ineffective at doing true piercing damage to it.

Damage Control
The Acheron has an advanced firefighting suite that automatically extinguishes fires in the crew compartment and the engine compartment. The crew compartment itself is completely sealed off from both the engine and the outside world, to prevent gas or other dangerous environmental issues to be a problem. Crew members also wear a special combat suit that is made to help them resist G-forces when traveling at high speeds. In an extreme emergency, the crew compartment can be ejected from the hull of the tank, thus preventing the death of the valuable crew.

Armament

Primary
There are two primary armaments for the Acheron, which are interchangeable and can be fitted in a modular system when needed. The stock option for armament is the AV-7B Anti-Vehicle Cannon. It's a slightly modified version of the AV-7 which was used as a self-propelled artillery cannon in the past. The AV-7B is able to maintain a high rate of fire; field testing put it within safety limits of thirty shots per minute, without unduly stressing the engine or limiting it's maneuverability.

The second option is an AG-2G Quad Laser Cannon. Enhanced power cyclers, high-volume gas feeds, and custom-modified laser actuators (with larger enervation crystals) greatly increased the cannon's energy output, and the weapon could destroy a TIE Fighter with a single shot.

An AI-controlled cooling compressor helps to prolong and increase fire rates without risk of damage to the gun itself.

Secondary
The Acheron employs two secondary armaments. The main secondary is a turret-top mounted E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster. Mounted on it's own miniature turret, which any crew member can be given control of at their crew station inside the tank, the E-Web is predominantly used for anti-infantry or anti-light vehicle duty.

The second secondary is an anti-personnel system that is used as a last resort. There are four hull-top-mounted AP-flechette launchers. Upon command, each launcher can cast upwards of two hundred plasteel flechettes into the air -- shortly to have them return and carpet an area no less than fifty meters square around the Acheron. Its takes less than a second after activation for the flechettes to impact and either create an impromptu physical barrier around the tank, or kill any moving, ground targets near or on the Acheron.

Aiming
The Acheron is equipped with an AI-enhanced fire-control computer that uses user and system-supplied data from a variety of sources, to compute, display, and incorporate the three components of a ballistic solution—lead angle, ammunition/power type, and range to the target—to accurately fire the tank.

These three components are determined using a full-spectrum rangefinder, crosswind sensor, a pendulum static cant sensor, data concerning performance and flight characteristics of each specific type of round, tank-specific bore-sight alignment data, ammunition temperature, air temperature, barometric pressure, a muzzle reference system (MRS) that determines and compensates for barrel drop at the muzzle due to gravitational pull and barrel heating due to firing or sunlight, and target speed determined by tracking rate tachometers in the Gunner's or Commander's Controls Handles. All of these factors are computed into a ballistic solution and updated 30 times per second.

Additionally, the Commander's Independent All Viewer (CIAV) on the Acheron can be used to locate targets and pass them on for the gunner to engage while the commander scans for new targets; this is a subroutine program of the ADSS. In the event of a malfunction or damage to the primary sight system, the main and coaxial weapons can be manually aimed using a telescopic scope bore-sighted to the main gun known as the Gunner's Auxiliary Sight (GAS).

During normal combat conditions, the commander is the one responsible for firing the secondary armament E-Web, mounted atop the turret. It can also be managed by the Acheron's battle AI.

Mobility

Engine
The primary engine and power source for the Acheron is the P-s5m Twin Ion Engine. Like it's starfighter-mounted cousin, the P-s4 TIE, the Acheron's engine is likewise without moving parts and also thus easier to maintain. It is even more precisely manufactured than it's cousins.

Tactical
The Acheron has eight interdependent, gimbal-moutned exhaust maneuvering jets, linked to the TIE engine. At full output, without using power for anything other than movement, the Acheron has been clocked at speeds in excess of 450~500 kph.

Due to the nature of its solar ionization reactor and the solar arrays mounted along the hull, turret, and rear of the Acheron it effectively never needs to refuel. However, solar panels do need to be eventually replaced, as do the internal "guts" of the TIE engine after more than five years of hard use, or ten years of moderate use. Continual maintenance checks are a requirement.

Because of it's repulsorlift design, the Acheron has a flight ceiling of one hundred meters; it is however unadvised that any commander or driver actually ever bring the Acheron to that height -- as it is lacks the maneuverability to avoid weapon systems designed for AAA. Instead, due to the maneuvering jets, it is able to move about any physical terrain with the speed and agility that can only be envied. It's been sighted on some field exercises as literally dodging aside from certain attacks due to it's agility.

Strategic
Strategic mobility is the ability of the tanks of an armed force to arrive in a timely, cost effective, and synchronized fashion. The Imperial Navy's primary lander can bring a full company of Acheron MBTs onto the battlefield, enabling a significant battlefield formation to be placed anywhere needed; said unit is also large enough to maintain battlefield coherency and effectiveness for a great length of time -- during which it may be further reinforced by additional units and support forces.
