The song "Rattlesnake" is probably one of the most irritatingly catchy songs I've ever heard.

Close, but there are a few exceptions like Adele, U2 and REM. I don't think that there is a cut off point where all music instantly became rubbish, plus the quality of music from some artists have declined, which is why my love for Madonna is limited to the 1980s. That doesn't mean the 1980s was a perfect era for music, though.
