After taking a break from the series for a while, I'm resuming my watch so I can finish the last few episodes with some friends. Currently on Season 5. Jealous Discord is adorable.

Agreed. S5 has one of my least favorite character concepts ever (the actual character is... tolerable).

Agreed. S5 has one of my least favorite character concepts ever (the actual character is... tolerable).

The fandom was already split before the stuff that happened with that character in Season 5, but that fractured it even further. Though to be fair any change at all causes a chunk of the MLP fandom to freak out and cry that the show is now ruined forever. :lol2:

I must be weird because even after all the changes I still love the show and don't have a problem with how it's going.

As I see it, the splits between Twilicorn or Equestria Girls lovers and haters had largely dissipated by the S5 finale, and the split between Starlight lovers and haters has largely replaced it and is as intense as ever. I don’t think the haters so much hate the change as think her redemption was handled poorly.

The show has quite grown from the S1-2 heydays. I actually wish some of the show’s newer ideas were implemented earlier, and have grown to see the newer seasons to be at least as good as the old. I wouldn’t feel weird.

Diamond Tiara is a tsundere, of course she's going to be bossy. She's the spoiled and privileged type, so by definition- she almost certainly isn't that bad or maleviolent in terms of bullying potential. She isn't going to be the baddest or toughest. Babs Seed could probably bully her back and win, and Cozy Glow- I see as having far more scheming potential but is more subtle and manipulative. I like Cozy the best so far. But Tirek I'd root for.
