History : Thousand years of Vietnamese history are painted red with bloods as foreign forces constanly invade the nation, but none ever success in their attempts to destroy the willpower of these stubborn natives. Many cycles of being dominated and then liberated, yet the nation still stand tall against the challenges of time.
The world know about Vietnam through pictures taken by journalists during the Indochina Wars, but very few know about the struggles of the Vietnamese in rebuilding their homeland after 1975 nor their economic miracles after the nation escape isolationism in 1986, they only know about the nightmare named the Vietnam War. Currently, Vietnam is an emerging regional power within ASEAN with many potentials in the eyes of international investors, the Oriental Pearl.
Recently, there are large amount of changes in Vietnamese politics after a successfully coup by the military. The old members were purged, imprisoned or went missing and got replaced by newer, younger officials, mostly from the police section or the armed force. To an outsider, the nation is still a communist dictatorship, but who know what happen inside ?

During 1940, the Imperial Japanese Army successfully invaded Indochina and overthrew the French Colonial Administration, completely removed French influence from the Far East. The brutal occupation by the Japanese, has forever changed the minds of million Indochineses, their trusts in France as a protector had shattered, and from despairs, many revolutionary movements arose with a belief that only Indochinese can save Indochina. Among them, the most predominant movements are the Indochinese Nationalist Union (INC) and the Indochinese Socialist Alliance (ISA), although different in ideologies, they still decided to cooperate and coordinated their efforts to stop the expansion of Imperial Japan.
After five years of bloody warfare, by July 1945, the Imperial Japanese Army invaders has been defeated and pushed out of Indochina, while the Siamese Empire, an ally of Japan, has surrendered itself and fall into occupation by both British and Indochinese Military. During the Potsdam Conference of August 1945, the sovereignty of Indochina wasn't recognized and the region was still considered as colony of France, despite Indochina's grave contributions for the Allies in the Pacific War, this decision slowly creating an anti-colonial sentiment among Indochinese society.
By the end of 1945, France erected the Federal Government of Indochina from the foundation of the old French Colonial Administration, Lê Nguyệt Thảo, a member of INC, became the first Coordinator of the Federal Government in December 1945. In the Spring of 1946, the foreign policy of France on the colonial issues became more relaxed, Indochina was granted dominion status, a good news for the nation. In the same time, the British Army began to withdraw from the Indian Ocean, the Siamese territories they occupied were transferred to Indochina, followed an agreement with France, this quickly became a troublesome loath later on. By October 1947, the situation in Indochina became more stabilized and the nation began its process of reconstruction. To resolve the Siamese resistances menace and stop it escalating to region wide revolution, the Federal Government accepted the demands from Thai Patriotic Front (TPF), the most notable Thai resistance movement, and founded the Kingdom of Siam under the heel of an Indochina friendly government, with a powerless King Ananda Mahidol. The economy of Indochina is experiencing an economic boom when many French and European companies found the cheap labors and resourceful geography of Indochina attractive. While everything look quiet positive, on the eastern fringe of the nation, the Indian barbarians are begin to mobilizing their forces, and in response an Indochinese division has been sent to station in Tanintharyi Province.From : Huế Municipality, Federated States of Indochina.
