Congressman Martin Taylor makes me wonder what the heck is going on at Yale that they give him a degree in economics.

(1 of 2) I am writing this post to apologize for my actions today in being partisan. I understand that since I am privileged to hold the position of the Deputy Attorney General, I should be held to a higher standard and not interfere with political rallies. However, I am deeply concerned with the amount of congressmen that misinterpreted my tweets. I was not in any way attempting to endorse the programs proposed by Martin Taylor or his constituents

The DOJ’s mission statement states that it should promote justice for ALL CITIZENS. I stated that I wanted to combat social injustice. I also said that congressman Taylor’s programs were flawed because they would raise taxes. I was actually negating the programs because they would raise taxes. And I never agreed with Rep. Taylor for the record. Regardless, I sincerely apologize for my behavior, and will not take part in partisan affairs. I am not a socialist, I’m a centrist who has some liberal views, but is mainly conservative. I also find it deeply disturbing that Gov. Would the honorable gentleman from Washington Rep. Taylor kindly point to which state he wishes to emulate? Maybe Maoist China? Stalinist USSR? Hoxahist Albania?

I'll take "Strawman Communist State #96". I heard it's very good this time of year. On a more serious note, I am a more liberal socialist, and if I were to pick a 'model state', I'd take Yugoslavia. Maybe Kurdistan.

Dear Senator,
I write to you to request a closed meeting in which I will be able to question you about matters regarding an ongoing FBI investigation. If you would like to have an attorney present, that can be arranged as well. I would, however, like to remind you that you are not being charged with any crime, and can deny the request, and you are not being singled out due to your campaign against President Reed. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Susanna Harrington arrived at Glen Anderson's home for their arranged dinner meeting. She wasn't sure if it was a formal meeting or an informal dinner, but either way she remained dressed up. She would be catching a red eye after the meal, heading home to see her family and spend the recess focused on constituent services at her office in Mount Pleasant.

After parking her car, which would be headed to long-term parking, she strolled up to the door and gave it a knock, preparing to smile warmly.

Anderson's apartment was fairly humble but in a very good neighborhood, he opened the door to greet Harrington "Congresswoman its a pleasure to see you again please come in." Anderson ushered he inside and bid her to sit in a comfortable chair in his living room, "I'm finishing up dinner right now please relax."

Anderson moved back to his kitchen to put a few more touches on his meal "Would you like something to drink?"

"The pleasure is all mine, Congressman," she said in her smooth Lowcountry drawl. Then she followed Anderson into his house.

"I'll have an iced tea, if you have any."

"Sure please make yourself comfortable." Anderson went to the fridge and retrieved a pitcher of iced tea pouring her a glass and placing it on a coaster next to her. "How have you been?" Anderson asked while continuing to work in the kitchen on their meal.

Taylor began to suit up, ready to begin debating. Of course, the debate wasn't for a few days, but the more prepared the better. He began to read up on books regarding debate, and memorised logical fallacies almost to the word. He knew from the twitter war he couldn't win without unleashing the dogs of war, and so he sharpened his blade.

After some reading, he was ready to board the plane, arriving just in time for the appointment. He continued his reading on the plane, spending every single waking and sleeping moment preparing for it. He was about to prove the world he wasn't just some big ego with big plans but with no will or strength to enforce them.

After arriving in Boston, he drove to Stevenson's office, as they agreed upon. He knocked on the door, waiting for a response.

"This is Martin Taylor, Representative of the 9th District of Washington."

“The mutual-aid tendency in man has so remote an origin, and is so deeply interwoven with all the past evolution of the human race, that is has been maintained by mankind up to the present time, notwithstanding all vicissitudes of history.” - Peter Krotopkin, evolutionary biologist and political writer.

Kristen was back at her office in Nantucket after some DMs sorted out some confusion about meeting and was still trying to figure out how this had all happened so fast. She had been biting her nails about whether to be risky and criticize a Reed cabinet member and then she was suddenly going fast and furious in a twitter war and laying out a few good zingers in her opinion. Now she was at the point of organizing the debate that she had made a thing herself, and even though she didn't regret that she was still feeling nervous about it. She could handle some crazy radical on a debate stage right? It would be like easy mode or at least it should be, but she wasn't assuring herself. She had been reading over his speech a few times and getting more and more disturbed by it for basic prep along with doing some Binging of his wikipedia article and any other info, but didn't know what her strategy was going to be until they made arrangements.

It probably wasn't justified but she was feeling a little physically nervous too. She had originally wanted the meeting to be in D.C. because of the close quarters partially and she didn't prefer the context at home even though she obviously preferred the environment. Taylor had sounded crazy enough during the speech and aggressive enough on twitter that she didn't know what to expect, so she was keeping pepper spray light in a pocket instead of her purse in a not very comfortable pair of pants and had an almost full staff working.

But he was here now though on a hot but beautiful summer day and she got the door herself. "Come in Representative" she welcomed him, a little stiff and formal.
