I was going to ignore this, but I couldn’t. This is a really bad argument for lots of reasons.

Over a hundred black lives matter protestors had to be arrested so they wouldn’t cause a bloodbath. A guy sharing their cause gunned down police and civilians alike in Dallas in payback for killing young black men.

That doesn’t mean Black Lives Matter should be banned. Freedom of thought and speech is just that valuable.

As a resident of detroit, I am shocked and kinda disappointed to see this headline coming out of the motor city. According to reports, a group of white nationalists and neo nazis showed up at the gay pride parade in downtown near hart plaza to disrupt the event and according to social media postings, they hoped to start a conflict with antifascist, left wing protesters and spark "charlottesville 2.0." Detroit police thankfully headed off violence by separating both the Nazis and the socialists/communists who came to protest their appearence, preventing serious injuries or worse. The Nazis were carrying guns and appeared ready for serious trouble, and God only knows what would have happened had police not spotted the threat in time.

What are your thoughts and opinions on this recent incident, and how do you think we can best prevent clashes between far right and far left protesters and prevent these ideologies from becoming so accepted by so many people in the first place?
