Social Liberal Party: The Radicals

Leading to a brighter future

SLP: The Radicals is a Saint Hildan political party. Described as socially liberal, the party is considered a catch-all party for the country's liberal centre. In recent years, the party has taken a few stances more associated with the country's left wing, including support for a referendum on the future of the country's monarchy, a tax on carbon emissions that taxes large businesses, and not private citizens, and a support for LGBT+ rights and feminism. The party was formed in 1988 by the merger of the Radical Party, formed by a split from the National People's Party and the Social Liberal Party, a traditionally more socially liberal party that contested every election in the country since the first in 1906.

Leadership:
Leader: Viktoria Ljungstrand
Deputy Leader: Arne Ohlsson
President: TBD
Alliance Whip: Karl Bergen

The SLP/Radicals have agreed to absorb the Liberal Alliance, adding another seat in the legislature. We've also entered an official electoral alliance, the Liberal-Green Alliance, with the Green Party, and will caucus with the SLP while maintaining a separate party identity.
