"Ah," Lance muttered. "Now I'm the only one that isn't armed. You don't need to have a weapon. My words aren't that sharp." Lance was the only one to laugh at his pun.

"Well then, on to business, yes? Let me ask you, Henry, why did you leave the PFNS?"

"You did not hear my point, I presume? Oh well. I left the PFNS because of Bill 88 and weird-racist-man over there. He not only wanted to bring back slavery, but also destroy my business. As I have said, all those against me - against us - need to get out of the way."

"You left because of private interest? You really plan to let your own business get in the way of doing what's right? How sad. Additionally, we might as well quickly disregard your comments about bringing back slavery. We all saw quite clearly what happened in the office when you last spoke to Heinz. Further, the PFNS as a whole does not support LB88. I, for one, will be casting my vote against ot when the time comes at your own recommendation," Lance said.

"Now, let us steer this debate in a more relevant position. Globalisation. I shall reiterate what I said earlier: Poverty is falling across the world, new trade opportunities for resources opened up, the global economy became more interlinked and trade began to boom. Globalisation is the beginning of a new political era, of one of unlimited prosperity and wealth. There may be a few bumps, like 2008, but that only happened because the government and anti-globalists need to get out of the way! Those who stand against globalisation with their closed borders and their refusal to sign trade treaties shall face our tanks and our guns. A new world is coming, and all of you need to get out of our way!"

OOC: I've got it. I'm working on Greenwich Time so I might have to get off soon. Let's begin.

Heinz smiled, and kept it on even as his former comrade turned on him and as his colleague forswore supporting his favorite bill. He saw a camera crew from Sveriges Radio walk in, ready to record the debate. "Certainly, gentlemen, there's no need for violence here, and none for mudslinging before the debate. I've asked my good friend Sven Johansson to act as the moderator in this debate. He's politically neutral, and rest assured, he's an experienced moderator and debater. Sven, please." he said. The man walked in and made himself at home at their table.

---

"Hello everybody," he said. "I'm Sven Johansson, and I've been asked to help moderate this debate. It starts now, gentlemen. The first question, from a respondent from the Right Honourable Speaker's consitutency of Sankta Vilhelm. She says: "Why should we support Legislative Bill 88? My neighbors are Afro-Caribbeans and are the best people I know. They also rely on government aid to get along. Why should we support Mr. Henry's laissez-faire policies if he gets into office?"

John De Clairmont sighed while walking to the milkshake shop, seeing other MPs arguing. After waiting in line, he asked the student working there "Do you have any alcoholic milkshakes? I have a feeling I'll need it".

Across the street from the milkshake bar where the fascists were apparently going through some internal tiff, Marius entered the new Burganic restaurant that had opened. The chain restaurant was still trashy, certainly, but Marius could pretend he was eating healthier and at the end of a sometimes taxing day in Parliament there were few better comfort foods than hole-in-the-wall burgers and chips.

After placing an order for a Number Seven Meal Deal, Marius sat at one of the booths, and checked the time on his watch. Just a little early, exactly as he liked it. Anders Enhström should be arriving soon, an ally on a number of issues. Why specifically he had wanted to arrange the meeting Marius was not sure, but he was confident it was in good faith.

"The respondent is right: all people ought to be treated equally by government regardless of their race. Of course, we should stop at forcing people and private organisations to embrace this and not address all the fake left-wing issues such as 'institutional racism' or 'economic racism'. She is right, Bill 88 is nothing less than a complete shambles.

To your second question, neoliberal economic policy has been proven to work. Look at the economic boom of the 2000s, for instance. The fact is that free trade and economic progress are mankind's salvation, and we ought to take the economically liberal path to unite the world under one economic order and bring about an age of boundless prosperity."

Sven regarded the man for a moment; then, the thin outline of a smile formed on his face. "Thank you, Mr. Wallstone. Your answer was valid, and we'd love for you to expound upon that later, as soon as Mr. Darrow adds in his two cents. Now," he said, as the camera panned over to the PFNS member, "as an American expatriate-turned-citizen, how would your experience affect your attitude towards this respondent's concerns?"

The student sighed as he overheard the debate between the senators as he tried to make notes about the Swedish Age of Liberty. As far as he was concerned, they were both wrong. He'd be able to vote in the next election, and would almost certainly not be voting PFNS or NPP. The former's current representative in the debate wanted to strip half his friends of citizenship and the latter just didn't seem to get the youth. His social groups were split between supporting Republic, Centre-Progressive, or some part of the Liberal-Green Alliance, yet he needed to fully figure out which one he supported before he could vote.

Hell, he didn't even know which constituency he lived in.

Lance looked at Sven. "My experience takes no part in my politics. What I believe is not that people of non-European background should be treated poorly, but simply that they must understand that hierarchy must be established. Some people are made to lead," Lance said, before his gaze slowly drifted to Henry. "And some are made to serve."

He looked back at Sven. "Regardless, no support should be given to Legislative Bill 88. Its intentions are positive, but it is too aggressive. Reform must be slow and gradual. A quick, right-wing revolution will get us nowhere. This is a democracy, as much as I might dislike it, and no democracy will accept such an obvious attempt to cause those of non-European heritage to submit."

"My refusal to support LB88 is not because Heinz and I have a dispute in our visions, but because we have a dispute in something far more important -- the strategy of making our vision come true."

John De Clairmont walked into the bar a block away from the Parliament building. The barkeep noticed him and grinned. "Ah, John. You look tired. What can I do you for?"
John, even in his tired state, smiled. "Scotch. You almost are the only person on the island with decent scotch"..
Albin put a Glass of the golden-colored scotch whiskey on the bar. John took as sip, then pulled out a blue notebook with a sturdy metal lock, unlocked it, and flipped through the pages.
Albin looked over, curious. "What's in there?"
John looked around the mostly empty bar, and said in a hushed tone "A detailed record of the members of Parliament. Not in a stalker way, just details I might use".
Albin read a paragraph. "You might use the info on what establishments they favorite?".
John shrugged. "If I take them there for a meeting, they may be more comfortable".
Albin went back to scrubbing glasses. "You never cease to amaze, John".
"I trained under a professional politician in Eiria, who is the mother and mentor of the current Chancellor of Eiria. She keeps a notebook like this. She taught me to try to understand what motivates people on certain subjects". He paid for the drink and went to leave
Albin nodded to him as he went. "Say hi to your husband for me!".
"Will do".

The journalist peered back at the man with a critical eye. "Sorry; to me, at least, it would seem that you'd like to revert Saint Hilda back to a more... racist past? You state that you don't have an issue with the bill itself, but instead in the fact that it is too forwards? Isn't that similar to how the Nazi state implemented its anti-Semitic laws and laid the groundwork for their mass genocides and war crimes? Don't you think that you'll be responsible for a similar state of affairs in Saint Hilda if you support this bill and it passes?" Heinz sweated behind his glasses, and took a sip of his milkshake. He glared at Henry Wallstone, hating his guts. Why couldn't he just learn to communicate? Why? If he'd just told me before the bill was submitted to the Speaker, the party wouldn't have fallen apart...

NEWS FROM GÅRD (SH)

In Gård, main city of the Little Sverige region, has closed the last clinic for abortion in the city, the 4Women Gård Clinic. The head of the association, Inga Petersen, declared that she decided to close the structure for political reasons. "It's incredible to see how in Gård, in the free state of Saint Hinga, women are not free to choose what they want of their bodies. The local administration has given subsidies to the improductive industries, to young mothers and private schools, but they didn't gave anything to us, although we asked them to help all the young mothers, even the ones that didn't want a baby. Fifty women decided to abort in Gård region last year, now they will have to go to Nyköping for doing what they have the right to do." Planned Parenthood speacker for Saint Hinga, Lisa Wein, said: "It's a national emergency. No one can say what a woman can or cannot do, especially when they decide for their own life! We are doing everything possible for the re-opening of the 4Women Clinic in Gård and we hope that the government will do something too!".

Today our nation has taken a great step towards stamping out corruption and ensuring a bond between the people and their representatives by constitutionally tying parliamentarian's wages to the median national wage.
