We could actually campaign and fight for our seats. There's really no point in who or what we vote for since it doesn't affect our popularity. We're effectively an oligarchy because we don't have elections.

We do have elections, ICly, but we don't do them OOC. It is assumed you win your seat. In the NSG Senate people would sometimes post about election rallies in Life Outside. In one iteration of the Senate we had RP elections and results based off that. However, if you lost, you still had a seat, it was just assumed you were elected by party list.

Ik but the problem is that people will be able to pad numbers by inviting similarly-minded people. There's no point to your decisions and so you can just end up being a completely moral or immoral human being. You are unrestrained. It is effectively an oligarchy.

We shouldn't close off applications. Plenty of the people signed up won't be active, and we need all the activity we can get.

With a defection from PFNS, NPP has become the first single party to reach 10 members, though the Liberal Alliance, with 14 members, is still the largest current electoral group. Not pictured in the above diagram, a previously independent speaker has been elected, who can break ties. It was perhaps a non-important vote given how one sided it was, but note that a lot of members didn't show during the speaker election. Parties should make sure they keep track of their members and try to keep voting activity up, to make sure their numbers are real and not just on paper.

Currently, 26 MPs are needed for a majority. Some possible coalitions include:

Right-Leaning Coalition
Liberal Alliance-NPP (24) plus any of C-P, KP, PFNS, CPC-AAP

Left-Leaning Coalition
Liberal Alliance-CP-CPCAAP-R (25) plus either PLP or CSWUSH

The size of the NPP makes it a very strong contender in coalition talks, but it will still be difficult for them to build an agreeable coalition excluding the Liberal Alliance.
