I don't think I've ever quite understood writers when they've talked about a story controlling them rather than the other way around until now.

This is the longest race segment I've written and, if I'm remembering correctly, the third-longest thing I've written full stop - in fact, it was just the first part of three in this post (the latter two will be split off into their own thing now because I don't want this to be even longer), which was in turn only the first post of several that I intended (and still intend) to write this week - but it needed telling. I hope people still find it enjoyable, if that's the right word to use for the subject matter!

Now, I need to take a break.

I’ve written 10,000 words in a week and it didn’t control me. The start of WGP2 II I think..
Then I’ve written certain much shorter stories and they did wreck me. There could be a long term factor getting to you also. Maybe other factors or reasons for being drained.

Ah, fortunately you misunderstand; while I have been a little tired recently, that's the normal 'lack of sleep' tiredness. In terms of writing, I'm actually feeling quite energised! Got a story arc to wrap up.

That's fine on Stevenson taking Jai's seat at Eelandii for mid-season testing.

Once a driver has raced for one team, he can't join a different team in the same season. As the mid-season test isn't a race, Stevenson would be fine to join another team if one offers him a race seat.

Mid-season testing is due to be scorinated tonight, but due to recent delays I'm going to put it back to Saturday evening or Sunday morning instead. We'll be going back to the regular schedule as of next Friday.

Circuit presentation posts are fun! I'll get better at them for next year, for sure.

Anyways, the fake link at the bottom of the post is to my factbook map (so, no visas, sorry) to get everyone on the same relative geographic page for everything I wrote above. The bit in red is kinda important for anyone RP-ing from their drivers entering the country, or arriving in Iskajärvi, onwards.

So, I'm doing my usual thing again! Have the first half of the first third of the post that I'm making for fear that I won't finish the rest quickly enough!

(In all seriousness, though, I'm working on the climax of a narrative arc and trying to be as thorough as possible to make sure it all pans out . Also noting that the third part of the post will continue your posts' narratives, Vilita and Aboveland; sorry it's a bit later than planned.)

I'm getting distracted by the genre that brought me into writing in the first place. I should be able to get some good posts in this weekend. I don't know... There might be some Star Trek in the forecast...

Well, that's the second half of the first part and the second part of the three done, at least. Still working on the last, though I think it should be a bit easier from a thematic point of view.

There's been some really heroic drives from the back of the grid during this season. Talvela last week and then Dimitrianov finally fulfilling his potential after years of stunning mediocrity.

I'm finishing my end of year uni exams on Wednesday, so I should be able to get writing again soon afterwards!

I'm going to be blunt, Aboveland... That post made me really, really happy.

Doing my usual thing of posting different bits of my post as I write them!

Edit: Yes, you can indeed expect Ryker and Victoria being AdorableTM to recur regularly in my future posts.

Apologies for the delay, everyone. I fell asleep earlier than I expected last night.

I'm not around much this weekend so I'll scorinate qualifying on Sunday and the race on Tuesday. Next week's events will be put back a day to account for the delay

I must say, I'm pleased with that post. Managed to get some good musical symbolism in there, too, so there's that!

I do actually have a little bit more to write before the Vannish Grand Prix; I'll try to get it finished but it's not long and, regardless, I'm pretty satisfied with what I have so far.

I haven't written a good RP like that in AGES. It feels elating to get a good block of writing like that out after so long. I think you can probably tell by reading the end bit.

Long made short:

1. Wait until a series start. WGPC is currently in the last weeks, but WGP2 (our second tier competition) isn't that far. Use this time to develop a nice racing program, a good background to your drivers, something like that.
1. Create a challenger (team or driver) under the specifications in the opening topic. For the first seasons, I suggest a driver with a solid background to develop.
2. Write your way to the top. Quality over quantity. The better you write, teams will get attracted by your driver/drivers will get atracted by your team.
The Principality of Lisander, a sports loving, very highly developed nation in Astyria.
Disappointing people and missing deadlines since 2013.
