Please define terms...

What is "God"?
What is "has in hands for"?
What is meant by "you"?

Yup, real forgiving...

Might be a bit of dirty pool, but the entirety of the Old Testament is full of "forgiveness" like that.

Indeed, I chose something from the NT because when I trot out intolerant crap from the OT I tend to get the response of "Oh well, that's OT, Jesus changed all that."

I noticed you used the referance from a King James Bible, ( although it could have been American King James Version,or a American Standard Version) I just felt to point that out. What somewhat annoys me is that you chose to look at the forgiveness of God I mentioned. I would have liked you picked up on my point that God does things for us out of love. When he sent the flood to the world, he did it to clense the world because it became too sinfull. He cared about his people, and gave the "just desserts" to the people that deserved it.

What, pray tell did the fig tree do to deserve being killed?

So your defense of your god for killing a fig tree for not bearing fruit out of season is he has a reason for everything?

Indeed, that is my argument. God has reasons for what he does. I don't know God, so how am i supposed to know what he has planned? That's why people choose to put their faith unto religions and Gods. It gives them something to hold on to.

Romans 1:16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

It's sad to see that as I read threw this disscussion so very few people stood on the side of God, and it was even sadder to me that those on both sides did not seem to care for their point. I would never want to "Make" anyone be christian, I can't do that anyhow. All I can do is tell you what glories I have received from knowing Jesus, and the miricles that he has performed.
The beautiful thing about finding God is that He's with you EVERY MOMENT, and he loves you constantly and unconditionaly. Jesus loved you from the moment you were born, the moment he met you.
Mark 10:21
Jesus looked at him and loved him.

It doesn't matter if you've never loved Jesus, it doesn't matter what you've done in the past. All you have to do is accept his sacrifice.
John 13:1
Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.

Some of you have said that "there is no God, if there is he is just there to cause us pain" But your wrong. The world is corrupted, its sick and diseased and the Lord is there to give us salvation from the pain which this world creates.

2 Corinthians 1:6
If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.

1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So open your eyes, unfurl your hands and let yourself see it, rather than fight it. Just look for yourself. But at least do that much before you judge so harshly.

Just this ... The world is not corrupted, sick or diseased. There are people who, for whatever reason, do bad things to other people but it is not because they and the world are intrisically flawed. For all the good Christian has done - and there is some, quite a bit, really - this mind-set alone almost cancels it all out. What a terrible, terrible way to look at things, and if there were a God who created this corrupt world and put his beloved children in it, then told them they could never really rise above it except in extraordinary cases, what a sorry deity that is. A human parent who treated his children that way would lose them.

Actually I would refer you to the story of Jonah. Tons of forgiveness there. But let me recap.
God: Go to Nineveh, tell them that unless they repent I'm going to nuke them!
Jonah: Cool, I hate them.
God: Go to Nineveh.
Jonah: (BEEP) this, I'm out of here.
(One escape scene followed by being swallowed by a whale and subsequent return to starting point.)
Jonah: OK I'll go to Nineveh.
Jonah: 40 more days and you are going to be nuked.
Nineveh: What should we do?
Jonah: Repent
Nineveh: Sure! Sack cloth and ashes? No problem!
(40 days later Nineveh is not nuked because they repented.)
Jonah: See? I knew they would repent. Now you didn't nuke them like I wanted!

I prefer Lord Buckley's Version. My favorite part being ...

Lord Richard Buckley wrote:And we see Jonah inside this giant whale.
Smokin' this strange cigarette.
Watchin' the pistons pound, drivin' that POOM,
pushin' on the great valve, 'spandin' an' expandin'.

And finally the Whale say, "Uuuuhhhh, Jonah?"

And Jonah say, "Ppfffffffttt. What is it, Fish?"

And The Whale say, " 'What is it, Fish?'?!?"

Say, "You got a new captain on this here mass mess now, Mr. Fish."
He say, "I'm not outside no more. I'm INSIDE now!"

The Whale say, "Jonah, what in the world is you smokin' in there?
I thought I was off the flippity islands.
Here I is two minutes fom the Panama Canal!
This jazz got to go."
