Head of Government Fernando Lawrencio III Visits Melanesia To Re-Organize Local Government
Nguoi Viet Daily News
April 29, 2019

DILI, USM—At around 6:55 PM today, representatives of the Federal government safely landed on the tarmac of Nicolau Lobato International Airport. Following the tragic events of March 25, the Head of Government, Fernando Lawrencio III, who had announced his official visitation to the Southern state a week prior, has led the descent of his co-administrators to temporarily oversee the re-construction and reparation of several sites demolished by the bombings.

However, when interviewed on his flight a few hours before landing, Head of Government Fernando also expressed his desire to "double-check the loyalty of the government officials of Melanesia".

With many believing the job to be one with an intrinsic causation or mishap that must be addressed, the Head of Government also wishes to survey the events and concur with the ongoing investigations to asses how to better secure the systematic infallibility of Pan-Asiatic governance in the region.

The Head of Government will also be attending a gala with leading Congressional aspirants in the nation, on May 4, Saturday. He intends to stay for around 2 weeks to accomplish his objectives.

The cabinet of the Sixth Administration has stated its full support for Fernando's actions, and expect the state's political operations to be normalized within the next month.

Asian Workers Relax, Commemorate, and Celebrate On May 1 Labor Day
Eastern Press Universal
May 1st, 2019

NEO-MANILA—Districts across the metropolitan sang their National Anthem followed by L'Internationale (in Filipino) on the joyous occasion of Labor Day, synced at exactly 7 in the morning. While the event was an informal organization merely agreed upon by district officials, and only promulgated through social media outlets, many citizens still opted to join the ceremonies; gathering around statues of national heroes at local parks, or around the flag of the Pan-Asiatic States at the courtyard of their respective district halls. After the singing, the pledge of allegiance was recited, and in many districts, the local leaders led chants along the lines of "Mabuhay ang Pederasyon!" (Long Live the Federation!), "Mabuhay ang Sambayanan!" (Long Live the Community!), and "Mabuhay ang Sangkapuluan!" (Long Live the Archipelago!), to which, for each, the crowds would respond "Mabuhay!" (Long Live!).

Similar occurrences were also performed in China, Korea, Burma, Japan, Nusantara, Indochina, Siam, and Melanesia; at their respective morning time-zones. In Japan, State-President Kazuo Shii himself oversaw with the Ministry of Defense, an Air Force show in the afternoon, complete with fighter formations in the shape of a star flying over the skies of Neo-Tokyo. In Beijing, China; the Chinese State-President Xi Jinping organized a 21-gun salute with artillery to commemorate the fallen heroes of the Pacific Wars—and as part of a four-day Labor Day national holiday.

Controversially, during the 1995 Cultural Revolution, May Day in the Pan-Asiatic States was considered, almost the most important holiday in the country. Amplitudinous rallies and demonstrations across Asia were organized to celebrate this day, and while they still are, then, the holiday was more of in the theme of imposing political character. However, at the end of the 20th century, the situation changed dramatically as hardcore control of the Federation over its constituent states became more and more obsolete. While many are a bit concerned that State-Presidents and local district leaders have been exploiting the occasion to contribute as much to the parades as they humanly can to inflate their public figure, one organizer from Andong, Korea put it as being a "blessing in disguise".

Today Labor Day in Asia is a sort of a cheerful family holiday. During these three days of holidays, urban Asians go to the countryside, meet-up with friends, and attend solemn events. Many people visit theaters and exhibitions. The streets of the Asian cities hold demonstrations and performances.

May Day holidays are the best time to visit Asia, because at this period of the year, state-owned companies incentivise rest and relaxation. Not only can you visit the main attractions of the country at discounted prices, but this also makes it ideal for tourists and citizens alike to go shopping and generally enjoy themselves under the summer sun.

Secretary-General Guanyu Urges To Continue Afforestation In China
The Voice of Nusantara
April 30th, 2019

BEIJING—Secretary-General Guanyu "Abra" Abramovich stressed efforts to carry forward the Federation's tradition of loving, planting and protecting trees, and to involve the whole society in promoting afforestation.

Wide participation by everyone in Asia should be encouraged in pushing for large-scale afforestation of the country to achieve more tangible results, said the Secretary-General. He made the remarks while attending a tree-planting activity in East Beijing's Tongzhou District and planting saplings of different types of trees. State leaders of the Chinese Confederation, including State-President Xi Jinping, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji, Han Zheng and Wang Qishan, also attended the activity.

Comrade Abra talked with school children who were also attending the tree planting activity, asking about their study and sport exercises, urging them to foster awareness about environmental protection starting from childhood, and encouraging them to build a more beautiful Fatherland with their own hands.

In the past 40 years, The State of China, in particular, has doubled their forest area and forest stock volume, and China is home to the world's largest man-made forest. The proportion of Asia's contribution to the world's vegetation increase also ranked first in thanks to the Chinese Confederation.

At the same time, the lack of forests and vegetation, and fragile ecological environment are still problems that need tremendous efforts, said Comrade Abra.

Comrade Abra stressed that the Asian nation has a good tradition of loving, planting and protecting trees. Wide participation by everyone in Asia should be encouraged and officials at all levels should set examples as volunteer tree planters.

Efforts should be taken to promote the high-quality development of afforestation, coordinate management of mountains, waters, forests, farmland, lakes and grassland, continuously advance the building of forest city and forest countryside, the Secretary-General said.

The Secretary-General called for solid efforts to improve people's living environment, develop a green economy, and strengthen forest management and protection to achieve more tangible results.

Congress of Soviets Passes 'Executive Role Re-Organization and Registration Act' (ERROR Act)
Neo-Manila Post
April 30th, 2019

Sonya Yoon-Sook signed the passing of the ERROR Act today at 4:38 PM, an emendation-legislation proposed 2 months ago by her and her coalition of Congressmen and Congresswomen to rename executive positions to more convenient and less bureaucratically-misinterpreted roles. The Federal Act won by an outstanding majority vote of 3080 - 920.

Historically, the use of the Pan-Asiatic States has always delineated from the popular usage of the term "Head of State" and "Head of Government" has been misinterpreted by analysts and world leaders alike. The Head of State in the Pan-Asiatic context has always referred to the President of the Legislature, and the Head of Government, to the Prime Minister.

This problem had begun from the beginning of the Federation itself, in 1992, when the government was patterned after an unstable amalgamation between independent Soviet Union-style governance and the established Soviet-puppet 'Pan-Asiatic Soviet Socialist Provisional Republic', both of which massively contradicted each other, as powers within the hands of the premier 'General-Secretary' of the Provisional Republic were essentially dictatorial, but were necessary in keeping early peace between the constituents of the Federation. The division of powers between being the Prime Minister and being the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces was introduced by the '90s Independence Movement to prevent imperial control over the semi-executive statuses of the State-Presidents as autonomous premiers constituting a greater Federation.

However, the problem arose in the establishment of a contrast between the triumvirate-style of government unique to the Pan-Asiatic States. The issue was heavily debated, and the status quo of Asian rule was established.

The ERROR Act does not meddle with the current powers bestowed upon the members of an Administration, but will merely 'rename' the aforementioned positions of Head of State and Head of Government to State Soviet and Supreme Commissary respectively. The State Soviet will remain to be the President of the Legislature, and the Supreme Commissary will remain to be the Prime Minister.

Thus, today henceforth, Sonya Yoon-Sook is the acting State Soviet, and Fernando Lawrencio III is the acting Supreme Commissary of the Federated People's Republic of Pan-Asiatic States.

'Spider-Man Incident' At 2019 Tagalog Basketball Cup
O! Sports Daily
May 10th, 2019

NEO-MANILA—A man dressed in a Spider-Man costume was brought to jail after disrupting Game 5 of the 2019 TBA Cup finals at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday, May 10.

The man identified as Paolo Felizarta stormed the court holding a placard with "Vote! Love!" written on it with 3 minutes left in the final frame and accidentally hit San Miguel star center June Mar Fajardo on his right jaw. Fajardo fell down on the floor in pain as Felizarta was apprehended by security personnel at the venue.

"Gusto ko lang po mag-send ng message. Eleksyon po kasi," (I just want to send a message because it's the elections.) Felizarta curtly replied when asked by TBA commissioner Willie Marcial why he pulled off the stunt. "Gusto ko lang pong magmahalan tayo. Gusto ko lang magmahalan tayo, 'yun lang, wala ng iba po." (I just want all of us to give love. That's it. Nothing more.)

Felizarta also apologized for hitting Fajardo, claiming he had problems seeing through his mask. "Yung message ko nga po pagmamahal tapos mananakit po? Hindi ko po kayang gawin 'yun. Hindi ko po kita. Siya po 'yung bumangga sa akin," (My message is to love so I won't do anything to hurt other people. I didn't see him. Fajardo was the one who bumped to me.) he said.

There were two other men who were caught in the scene, namely Rayahn Paredes and Flenn John Lola. Lola was assumed to be Felizarta's accomplice while Paredes, who was sitting on the stands behind the basket, was caught punching Lola as he was ushered out of the court. Police said Lola and Paredes settled their dispute at a nearby barangay hall.

Marcial revealed they are taking legal action against Felizarta. "Pinapatanong ko sa legal namin kung anong klaseng kakasuhan, kakasuhan namin 'yung tao," (I asked our legal team what kind of case we're going to file against him. We will file a case against him.) Marcial said.

Despite the drama, action continued and Team Magnolia turned back Team San Miguel in an 88-86 win off a Mark Barroca game-winner.

The scene of the crime and vantage point of the assailant's Machine Gun

Head of Government Assassinated!
Neo-Manila Post
May 16th, 2019

DILI, USM—Shots were fired from the balcony of the Tropico Grande Hotel at around 4:18 PM today, May 16, from a yet-to-be-identified assailant. A surprise attack from a mounted machine gun sprayed bullets unto Supreme Commissary Fernando Lawrencio III, head of government of the Pan-Asiatic States, and his associates on the street below, during their walk to the Melanesian District Assembly, instantly killing the Federal leader himself and three others, including his wife, as well as injuring five other accompanying gendarme.

Police reports have confirmed that he was shot first in the neck and then in the head by bullets that appeared to be fired from the Tropico Grande. His wife, Leonora Lawrencio, was injured by the same bullet that passed through Fernando's neck. A nearby police car rushed them to the hospital, where Fernando was declared dead at 6 PM.

The influential leader and executive member of the Sixth Administration had been killed during his 'rehabilitation efforts' of Melanesian self-governance during the March 25 Uprising. While his stay in the region was only supposed to last two weeks, he extended his stay a few days prior (planning to leave by the end of the month instead) in order to confer with local congressional officials regarding political concessions with the pro-Melanesian independence movements. His agenda had been to meet with the local leaders themselves and 'put the Federal government in the limelight'.

While gendarme were quick to respond on the scene, raiding the Hotel seven minutes subsequently, the assailant himself was not caught, with evidence suggesting he had blended-in with the staff. From the room from which the shooting took place, the weapon used was recovered, as well as civilian clothing hurriedly left lying around. Staff of the hotel also reported to have spotted an unidentified and unrecognized man in waiter's attire exiting through the back room mere moments after shots were fired.

Witnesses report to have seen a 'young Anglo-Celtic man in his mid-20s', but most accounts are blurry, full of contradiction, and sans of much detail. One cook reported the man having worn glasses, while another reports he was wearing shades.

The high-caliber, military-grade machine gun was a Heckler & Koch MG4 of foreign origin. Notions of the German Democratic Republic having been involved were refuted following a quick investigation by Socialist Germany's government themselves, which indicate that the series and licensing markings on the machine gun did not match the ones used by the German military.

However, the more likely case-scenario, as most Asians are inclining to believe at the moment, is that the items evidenced are confirmation that the Oberkonig of Anglomir has had the act carried-out by covert operatives. This is also the reported 'primary speculation' of the Ministry of State and Public Security at the moment.

In the meantime, the Secretary-General of the Pan-Asiatic States, Guanyu Abramovich Jr., will have the authority of both the post of Secretary-General and Head of Government, in accordance with the 1995 constitution. The Federal Congress of Soviets has announced that an emergency election will be held on May 20 between its constituents to fill in the position until the end-term of this Administration.

At present, both Secretary-General Guanyu Abramovich and State Soviet Sonya Yoon-Sook have declared their condolences for the Lawrencio Family, especially Fernando and his wife's three children: Enrico, Joselita, and Mariana. The devout leader's family has insisted on a private, Catholic funeral rather than a state-funeral. Fernando will most likely be buried at his home island of Panay, in New Philippines (TSSR).

PASAF-SNA Anti-Terrorist Collaboration Greenlighted By Sampornese Jamahiriya
Bagumbayan
May 19th, 2019

BUTUAN, SAMPORNA—At 6:13 PM, May 17; a bomb combusted right under one of the APCs of the Sampornese National Army in Butuan, killing an unconfirmed number of National Army soldiers, and trapping a squad for hours. This would be merely one of many attacks both beforehand and soon thereafter, by terrorist insurgencies operating within Samporna itself, against the newly-constituted Gaddafist State.

Of key importance to these warring factions within the nation in unrest, is the Lumad Liberation Front, the organization responsible for the aforementioned attacks, as well as many others. The LLF appear to be growing much more popular among the nation's delinquent in recent weeks, partly due to their successes in the Southern fronts of the nation. The LLF have officially stated the primary purpose of their acts to be that of 'freedom-fighting' and liberation for their indigenous minority, the Lumad people, however, many even within the nation's Lumad population themselves have alleged that the organization's methodology is not one that best represents 'proper' Lumad culture. The extremities and acts of terrorism committed by the LLF have already placed them on several anti-terrorist watch-lists, most notably, the Pan-Asiatic States'.

Claiming this pathos of events to be a precedent for much larger scale attacks against the Jamahiriya of Samporna, the Secretary-General reportedly congregated members of the Asian Military Command on the 17th to strategize whether or not the Pan-Asiatic States should involve themselves with the conflict any further and how. The following morning, the Federal Congress was assembled to ratify a proper course of action.

The congregations ultimately concluded that the Federation had to follow-through on their (albeit informal) allegiance to the Jamahiriya's sovereignity a month earlier. Both the State Soviet and Secretary-General have released public statements expressing a desire to enact a Defense-based alliance with the Jamahiriya. The agenda of the government on the 18th soon became clear, and all efforts to prepare the nation for an intervention against fringe elements of Samporna.

The following Press Release was addressed to the People's Congress of the Jamahiriya soon after proper procedures:

RE: Beginning the Ratification of Defense Cooperation, Addressed to the People's Congress of the Jamahiriya
AGAINST the perpetuation of terrorism in the Sampornese Jamahiriya, after a thorough investigation into the reactionary adversaries held against the national sovereignty of the newborn revolutionary government, the Federated People's Republic of Pan-Asiatic States extends its hand towards joint military assistance between the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces and the Sampornese National Army. Surmounted by rising local insurgencies, as well as foreign pressure, the Pan-Asiatic States deems assistance necessary, and is willing to make several offers purely in the interest of Samporna's national security, agreements from one post-revolutionary nation to another.

In short, we hope to stabilize Samporna in order to ascertain a much more secure endeavor for future political self-sufficiency for Samporna, in the interests of transparency between Asia and his allies.

Speaking on behalf of an informal conference between the Sixth Administration's constituents, and coming from a context wherein the People's Congress of the Jamahiriya had already ratified an executive act to urge diplomatic talks regarding trans-national defense coordination (a treaty included with the communique regarding an application for ambassadorship), the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Defense's consultants have agreed upon an intervention-based approach regarding local counter-insurgency. That is to say, we intend to put-down radical elements of the resistance in the best interests of peace.

However, we would like to secure an official greenlight sanction from the Jamahiriya, as well as the stance of the perpetuating administration on the issue before carying-out further notions of intervention.

As per suggested by the Ministry of Defense, the Pan-Asiatic States is willing to carry-out the following:

  • The cession of five (5) expeditionary divisions to the Sampornese Jamahiriya, from both the ranks of the People's Intervention Unit (PIU) and Special Forces Unit (SFU) of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces, operating under the strategic command of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces, but under the approval of the Jamahiriya. These divisions will include the 21st Siamese Echelon "Bang Klang Haw" Mobile Artillery Division (PIU), 11th Okinawa Echelon "Suliko" Ranger Division (PIU), 42nd Pan-Asiatic Frontier Infantry Division (PIU), 5th Irregular Partisan Regiment (SFU), and 36th Jungle Combat Company "Undas" (SFU).
  • The ratification of a ten-year mutual defense pact that binds an agreement of guaranteeing each party's sovereignty (i.e, automatically declaring a state of war with those on the opposing side of any conflict INITIATED against one or both nations). This agreement will not bind ex post facto.
  • Included with the above defense pact, the construction of Samporna-Asiatic exclusive bases in the Chinese Confederation, Pan-Asiatic States; as well as the Sampornese People's Congress' ratification of an agreement that does vise versa in the near future, but with a set completion deadline.

While times ahead appear to be dark, with imperialist threats looming both of our countries, we, the People of the Pan-Asiatic States, hope to create a friendship with the Sampornese Jamahiriya that will act as a lantern in the shrouding uncertainty of the future.

We continue to stand with the revolutionary struggle of the Jamahiriya of Samporna! Wei Renmin Fuwu!

Today, May 19th, the Sampornese government officially affirmed the AMC's proposal for intervention, meaning that the decision for Asian troops to intervene against the terrorist threat in Samporna has been greenlighted by the respective authorities of the targeted nation, and it has been officially reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that both the Sampornese National Army and Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces have entered joint conferences regarding concrete military action.

The promised intervention units of the Asian army are set to arrive in Samporna roughly around 5:00 this afternoon. Press coverage of the intervention has already been sanctioned by the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces, and the PAFNA-OSM is obligated to release reports on the next actions of both militaries as soon as details are available.

JARAGUPTA: Civilians Brutally Detained and Massacred By USG Mercenaries!
Yinchuan Rose
May 20th, 2019

MEHATAR, KINGDOM OF JARAGUPTA—8 days ago, May 12, 2019; a government-sanctioned military operation conducted against the radical Jaraguptan Marxist insurgency organization, the Hamikh Democratic Liberation Front (HDLF), led to the unprecedented slaughter of several non-combatants, most notably, several women and children. While an exact body count has not yet been confirmed by any of the nation's local news agencies, and nor has the Jaraguptan Government admitted to the conduction of the operation, several eyewitnesses who have fled the country as well as photographic evidence by locals of the island archipelago have confirmed that an operation was carried out by the USG Security Corporation, in league with the Kingdom's armed forces, to root-out fringe elements.

The incident occurred on May 12th, when locals of a hamlet in Mehatar suspected of aiding and harboring members of the HDLF were surrounded by several armed personnel. Moments upon the arrival of the military, eyewitnesses claim that an order to establish four interlaced kill-zones was carried-out by the counter-insurgent forces. Infantry personnel then unmounted from several of the vehicles used to stage the blockade, and were ordered to set fire to the perimeter and cause extensive damage to both property and life.

The Yinchuan Rose, in coordination with the Pan-Asiatic Federal News Agency and Official State-Media (PAFNA-OSM), have been committed to confirming preliminary allegations, and with the aforementioned photographic evidence collected by bystanders, the true nature of the act was essentially affirmed by every means possible.

One of the photographers of the event, a middleclassman by the name of Khosasih Hong, who had been working as a construction site facilitator in the area of operations that day, even claims that he heard one of the officers of the operation mumble to themselves something along the lines of "Mess with us, burn to death". Mr. Hong recounts how many of the unsuspecting villagers simply awoke to the smell of carnage, death, and suffering; testifying to the murder of one of his native on-the-ground coordinators, Miss Bathsheba Hutabalian, who had been residing at that village that day, an innocent burned to death, still holding her six-year-old daughter, Wulan, in her arms to her last dying breath.

While Mr. Hong, being one of the less endangered source-material of the event, had quickly migrated to Neo-Manila days after the occurrence, he is but one out of many witnesses who are currently hiding from the ruthlessness of the Kingdom's despotic attacks on its own people.

Mr. Hong has also testified that the operatives involved were for-profit outsourced military personnel, working alongside the official State-Military, due to their alien attire and weaponry. These allegations singled-down the perpetrators to operatives of the USG Security Corporation, infamous for several exploits parallel in motif to the aforementioned occurrences.

Unnamed witnesses, whose identities have been prohibited to be disclosed by the PAFNA-OSM, also allege to a separate account initiated by Hurti Guild forces, constituents of the USG Security Corporation who arrested every local in their path as they arrived to set-up their FOB near Pradhaan, Jaragupta. While initially they released them immediately and fed them (and even tried to recruit them), it cannot be denied that they detained masses of random people on a whim. Once again, survivors of the crisis have detailed the nature of the act, amounting to a clear violation of the writ of haebus corpus, a violation which the Kingdom of Jaragupta continues to downplay as never having even occurred.

The Pan-Asiatic Federal Congress has already issued an official sanction on the Kingdom, as many will recount, for a previous but recent violation of human rights. The Pan-Asiatic States continues to fight for the accountability of the Kingdom in relation to their abuse of Jaraguptan miner Eshraveer Mahil and his associates; a claim which the Kingdom still refutes.

The Secretary-General of the Pan-Asiatic States issued a press release this afternoon regarding the crisis, confirming the allegations, stating: "How many more human rights violations will go by us without the Kingdom of Jaragupta paying its due? How many more acts of terror will be carried-out against alleged terrorists until the monarchy has had its fill?"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already followed-up a proposal to the International Socialist Congress (ISC) in Bratislava to sanction an intervention against the island-nation. The Ministry reports that Jiang Xuegang, ambassador of the Pan-Asiatic States to the ISC, is already coordinating with key leaders of major Socialist nations across the world to discuss further action against the heavy-handed regime.

International and local observers continue to question the agenda of the Kingdom of Jaragupta by allowing such atrocities to be so simply carried-out without fear of consequence. As media whitewashing and silence continues to be promulgated all throughout the Kingdom as well, many question whether adverse legal repercussions can even be delivered under the circumstances ascertained by the failing Jaraguptan democracy.

Vatican City Attacked By Alleged Skyhooked Operatives!
Neo-Manila Post
May 27th, 2019

VATICAN CITY—At around 5 AM this morning, several heavily armed men in militaristic regalia who claimed to be 'on behalf' of the Skyhooked Anarchy detonated several bombs around the area of the Vatican before opening fire on denizens in the Sistine Chapel with automatic weapons, killing around 163 in the first bout before engaging in a gunfight with the Swiss Guard and Italian police.

On the site as well were several "Knights of Mare Nostrum" (Knights Mare Nostrum) . The Knights of Mare Nostrum is an order formed in 1189 centered around islands in the Mediterranean after the Knights Hospitaller and Templar merged, along with the integration of other knightly orders, serving as a militarized Papal State, several members of which present in the area were also killed in the attack; one was shot dead, while the other, present in armor, was murdered with an axe after being engaged in melee combat, followed by the perpetrator fleeing to a nearby painting gallery where another 10 people were murdered before the assailant was taken down by Italian counter-terrorist operatives.

The attacks have outraged Catholics all over the world, and many people are pressuring the Knights to call for a crusade upon Skyhooked in retaliation for the decimation of Vatican City. The Grandmaster of the Knights Mare Nostrum made this statement at Saint John's Cathedral mere moments after the attack:

"Dearest Catholics across the world, citizens of Mare Nostrum, and faithful Christians across the world. A very, very horrific tragedy has occurred within the territory of the mighty Holy See, as earlier ago, some savages who claimed they had no gods or masters, and cried in the name of heathen anarchy, had deliberately, willingly and with beastliness of forethought, savagely attacked 180 people personally, and killed hundreds more, including the great Pope Francis, may peace be upon him. And I, in turn, have heard your cries of horror and rage, felt the tension and shock within your souls, and, by God's will, I, in my right, have responded in the one way anyone can expect to. And that, my friends, in short, is a mighty crusade. Not a crusade upon mere injustice, but the eradication of anarchic heathenry and sin that plagued the lands where a fellow Christian state once stood. These heathens had stood with hostility towards us, as they rape, fight and drug themselves and sin on scales more depraved than any loyal Catholic can bear, and the sheer gall they have to attack a site of Western civilisation for the sake of their own sickening definitions of righteousness and fun will be their downfall. After this crusade is over, the world shall revert from its' way of anarchy, and thus the curtains shall be opened on this Utopian facade to reveal the rivers of blood they cast upon themselves. Deus Vult!"

While the Anarchy of Skyhooked has officially denied all allegations correlating them to the afternoon's events, reports indicate that Anti-Skyhooked "Crusader" forces are already mobilizing for an offensive. The Anarchy's Armed Forces are also reported to be mounting a defense of their homeland, and all attempts by the World Assembly to negotiate peace on both sides have failed. Many are confident that conflict will soon be upon Skyhooked's shores.

As a close ally of Skyhooked and as a peace-seeking nation, Congressional deliberations easily concluded with the Federation of Pan-Asiatic States issuing a cease and desist order against the Knights Mare Nostrum and their so-called "crusader" armada, an order served at around 5 PM this afternoon. However, it appears this order will be to no avail as well.

At this time, the Asian Military Command (AMC) has denied all allegations that they themselves have issued a 'general mobilization' of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces, however, they did admit to being in the process of organizing a Volunteer Cadre, that would only be utilized in the worst case scenario. This Volunteer Cadre is said to be a contingent a little more or less than 100,000 Pan-Asiatic troops, serving under all branches of the Armed Forces.

The AMC also admits to having sent an 'advisory contingent' to the Anarchy of Skyhooked, with strict orders not to engage the enemy unless fired upon. However, the AMC refused to state this contingent's exact number.

Pan-Asiatic States Joins SUN Economic Block
Caixin Global
May 29th, 2019

NEO-MANILA—At 4:33 PM, May 29; the Office of the Federal Government called for a Press Release officiating to the public that the Federation of Pan-Asiatic States is now a member of the Socialist Union Economic Block, or SUN Economic Block. Press Secretary Alberto Macapugay announced this afternoon that the invitation to do so by Prime Minister Samuel Robinson of the Armed Parliamentary Republic of Danlina, Director of the SUN Economic Block, had been received by the Administration two weeks ago but has only just been deliberated by a Federal Congressional hearing.

Today, the Pan-Asiatic States, after weeks of planning and organization, officially joins the Union's agenda of promoting greater trade between Socialist nations. At the moment, other members excluding Danlina and the States include Ausinia, Indonesian Peoples, Costa Hermosa, Rleesrikhani, Cannabees, Jasonvillee, Cat-Herders United, and Mountain Pygmies. While the Bloc's membership is relatively minuscule at the moment, other Socialist nations are reported to have begun to consider joining SUN as well, and many government officials of the Pan-Asiatic States foresee the great politico-economic development potential in this Union.

The Director made an official statement as well, last May 14, regarding the vision of the SUN Economic Block, addressed to the leaders of Socialist nations worldwide, stating "The Socialist Union of Nations will bring your nation into a new world of great prosperity and economic growth. The SUN is an economic block founded to provide and secure opportunities of trade for socialist nations all around the world of NationStates, and by joining the SUN a nation will get a chance to financially grow and to establish better diplomatic and trade relations with other socialist nations."

The Trade and Industry Commission reports that the States' most immediate trade necessity are various refined metals and Steel. While the Pan-Asiatic States does not have a shortage of such materials, according to the newly-elected, Supreme Commissary of the Federation, Ren Cao, it is in 'dire need' of large quantities of them in order to fulfill this administration's expansive fiscal policy, which the Supreme Commissary intends to continue pushing through. The State of Japan also wants to rush the production of its latest military vessels as part of State-President Kazuo Shii's "Strengthen Our Seas" initiative, which will require new sources of chromium importation.

SUN is also assembling its own quasijudicial International Navy focused on protecting the Bloc's trade interests, defending ingoing and outgoing products between its composite nations. To that end, the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Defense has pledged the cession of the BBG-099D Han-Class Battleship Guillermo Capadocia, and the P.A.S Type CA-112J Yuan-Class Battlecruiser Shimamura Hayao. The guided-missile cruisers are not yet scheduled to transfer ports, but have already been listed-off the States' list of defense-respondent vessels.

New Poll Suggests Pan-Asiatic Citizens Mostly In Favor of MSPS Censorship
Bagumbayan
May 31st, 2019

An online survey conducted by the Bagumbayan News and Media Group this week asking citizens from all over the Pan-Asiatic States, covering all demographics, reported that 58.79% of Asians hold no sentiments against the recent clamp-downs conducted by the Ministry of State and Public Security on various internet sites, TV Shows, and movies which were deemed ideologically juxtaposed to the Asian Communist Party's agenda of national solidarity or culturally insensitive towards the wartime history of the Federation.

In recent years, many critics have observed an increase in the whitewashing of various media by the State Security Cyberspace Division of the Ministry of State and Public Security. The most controversial of these clamp-downs have included the prohibition of sale and distribution of video games that portray the infamous destruction of Manila by nuclear bombs, such as Red Alert: Tropic Assault and Contingent of Heroes 3. In both cases, the games portrayed a comical, unreal depiction of the Third Pacific War which the MSPS-SSCD found belittling.

Another example of this whitewashing was in 2017, when the MSPS-SSCD prohibited the screening of the movie The Death of Trotsky when the head of the SSCD's Public Council at the time (now retired), Yao Yazhu, alleged the film could be part of a "western plot to destabilize the Communist Internationale by causing rifts in society". Mr. Yao would also later write to the Ministry of Culture in an open communique that the film "[was] aimed at inciting hatred and enmity, violating the dignity of the Russian (Soviet) people, promoting ethnic and social inferiority, which points to the movie's extremist nature". When the film was banned in the Soviet Union, the Pan-Asiatic States banned it as well weeks later. Following the film's prohibition in both countries, a joint statement by the Russian and Asian Ministries of Culture then remarked that "We are confident that the movie was made to distort our country's past so that the thought of the 1950s Soviet Union makes people feel only terror and disgust."

The poll noted that Asians were predominantly in favor of this sort of censorship due to concerns over the more cultural implications of some of the material censored rather than the more political. One participant, an anonymous 58-year-old economic manager of a factory in Seoul, stated that "[she] only wanted to protect her children from being raised in a society that valued Western ideas of casual violence".

Her ideas on the situation are, for the most part, factually sound. While the MSPS-SSCD has been known to censor some political works in the past, in recent years, this censorship has focused on the suppression of extremely violent, culturally insensitive, racist, or politically incorrect media.

Supreme Commissary Ren Cao Promises Elimination of Northern China Crime In 300 Days Or Less
The Voice of Nusantara
May 30th, 2019

NEO-MANILA, Malacañang Palace—Supreme Commissary Ren Cao himself delivered a list of his agenda for the remainder of the administration's term, and his personal agenda for the rest of the year. At the end of this routinary delivery, the Supreme Commissary controversially expressed a promise to deliver an end to the issue of extensive crime in the Northern regions of China "in 300 days or less".

While the Pan-Asiatic States has, historically, shown low crime rates since the beginning of the 21st Century, in part, thanks to the economic alleviation efforts felt all throughout the 9 States of the Federation, one of the least-affected zones of these efforts are the areas surrounding Harbin in Manchuria and Hami in Northwestern China, which have had a record of being destroyed during the Pacific Wars, followed by being governed by incompetent (sometimes even downright corrupt) officials. Many economists like Tanit Luang of Caixin Global have even gone so far as to say the area "never even, socially, politically, or economically recovered from the 1995 Cultural Revolution".

Intending to follow-through on this administration's expansive fiscal policy, the Supreme Commissary has expressed that a stronger, more controlled police presence combined with the organization of more socioeconomic development committees in and around the area, under his personal supervision, will hopefully significantly reduce the crime rate in 300 days more than it has ever been reduced in the past 19 years.

The Supreme Commissary also asked for the support of the Congress of Soviets and the government offices of the Pan-Asiatic States, including the State Development and Planning Commission, to help him make this happen. The Supreme Commissary intends to apply "socialist solutions", such as the rapid expansion of light industry to immediately provide better-paying jobs to the citizens of Northern China.

The Skyhookedian Question
Neo-Manila Post
June 1st, 2019

NEO-MANILA—Today, the second of three deliberations was held at the Pan-Asiatic Federal Congress regarding what the media has been calling "The Skyhookedian Question". Following the attacks in Vatican City on May 27, which was pinned on alleged Skyhookedian terrorists, the Knights Mare Nostrum has officially declared war on the Anarchy of Skyhooked, under the casus belli of a "crusade". Allies of the Knights Mare Nostrum who have all proclaimed their participation in this crusade in favor of the Knights include the Rapture Republic, Veise, and Kafair.

Asian citizens are officially divided on the matter, as many isolationists in the Federal Congress express pointlessness in engaging the Pan-Asiatic States in another war considering its military has only just begun to recover from the casualties of the Israeli-Asiatic War. However, a coalition of mostly militarists and Trotskyists believe that the Pan-Asiatic States should "protect the global interests of the revolution and the Skyhookedian peoples from immenent atrocity". Considering the large military force assembled by the so-called crusader faction, advisers from the Asian Military Command, including Second-Ranked Elected AMC Vice-Chairman 5-star General Muto Sachio III, express that Skyhooked's continued sovereignty may not last a week without aid from a larger power, like the Pan-Asiatic States.

Leading the Congressional charge is the State-Soviet (President of the Legislature) herself, Sonya Yoon-Sook. It was a miracle that, nights before, she was even able to get the Asian Military Command to vote on immediate action being taken to shore-up defenses on Skyhooked, under the premise of "protecting Skyhookedian civilians and providing humanitarian aid" (a fight she won only by a small, slippery margin of 2,009 - 1,991). At the moment, an emergency "Volunteer Cadre" has also been organized by the Armed Forces if the Pan-Asiatic States does decide to go to war. Military advisers of the Pan-Asiatic States are also reported to have landed in Skyhooked, surveying the logistics of a possible war, and relaying this information to be debated about in Congress. Enemy forces, presumably still in the process of organization, have not yet attacked known Skyhookedian outposts, but an attack on the Anarchist state is most certainly not only predicted, it is imminent.

The Neo-Manila Post has also sent journalists to investigate the situation. One enthusiastic Pan-Asiatic adviser to Skyhooked had this to say to the voting members of the Pan-Asiatic Congress, in favor of aiding the Anarchy of Skyhooked:

"This crusade will be won—by one side or the other. The guns will rust. Grass will grow and there'll be nothing left of any of this. The land will heal itself as everything does in the end. We'll be long gone by then—but maybe not forgotten.

History will not care about which side was right in the end, this war, despite everything, will not be about determining whether a God guides our actions or not. Or if it is righteous to believe in a God. This isn't just about Skyhooked or Asia, either. If history only remembers one in a thousand of us, then the future will be filled with stories of who we were and what we did. How we lived, how we fought, how we died... How we loved.

If you truly fight to serve the People, in the name of a great love for the people, then you will do everything in your power to defend them. This war is about protecting the unarmed millions behind us. This is about laying-down our lives for the powerless.

Thus, when this is all over and the war is won—They will remember us. They will remember our great love. But until that day comes, we will stand, we will look death in the eye—And we will fight!"

Urumqi Massacred By Rapture WMD, Thousands Dead!
Neo-Manila Post
June 8th, 2019

URUMQI—This morning, a 100-unit contingent of hunter-killer drones appeared on the horizons of Western China, bearing the honors of the Rapture Republic, covering for the approach of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile heading for the Chinese city of Urumqi. Despite the best efforts of the People's Air Force through the diligent response of on-site AWACS, the missile persisted and took mid-air impact within the killzone of the city's densely-populated market district. The damage inflicted is reported to have spanned an approximated peripheral of 20 city-blocks.

This cataclysmic event, which has been openly confirmed by the Rapture Republic as an act to provoke Asia, has been considered by the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs to signal the beginning of a war between the Rapture Republic and the Pan-Asiatic States, as part of the greater war between the crusader faction led by the Knights Mare Nostrum and the leftist coalition led by the Anarchy of Skyhooked.

The Pan-Asiatic government reports that the approximated death toll has reached above 1,200 civilians, with around 456 more injured and in critical condition. Excavators are continuing to dig-up the remains of innocents killed by the unprecedented attack.

The Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces reports that the damage could have been greater than it already is, had it not been for the sacrifice of the brave first-respondents who fought a desperate 2-hour battle in an attempt to shoot-down the projectile before it hit the city. Lance Corporal Xu Luoyang, designation Six-Yellow-Two of the No. 6 Squadron of the 6th Fighter Echelon, reportedly martyred himself by ramming his "Maya" JZ-5 into the projectile, accounting for its mid-air explosion. This act of heroism had lessened the damage-radius by a great proportion, and the Lance Corporal is set to be posthumously awarded the Order of Oriental Liberation—the highest military merit awarded to any single soldier of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces.

The Secretary-General of the Pan-Asiatic States, Guanyu "Abra" Abramovich, has issued a statement regarding the provocation in a press release conducted at 5:00 this afternoon, streamed directly from Malacañang Palace, Neo-Manila. In it, he controversially blames the posturing of the Western nations as a whole, and the unreadiness of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces to meet the rising threats to the Federation's collective security:

"Comrades, it is an honor to speak to you today, despite the many attacks conducted by our enemies to subvert our national interests to protect the struggle in defense of the revolution! Indeed, friends and countrymen, it has been a long and winding struggle.
...

Whilst previous leaders of this mighty Federation face at least one earth-shattering crisis in the course of their political careers, the beginning of mine has already seen many. From the victorious war against Israeli Zionism, to the March uprising, and now this defense of our Skyhookedian allies. This regime has been marked with triumph in its agenda to promote peace and stability not only in our home islands, but across the world!

...

And what of this recent massacre on our people in Western China? A thousand more dead at our feet bled to justify that the nations beyond our sacred socialist traditions cannot be trusted. Those naïve citizens of our Federation who imagine the West as a people of peace are entirely out of touch with reality. Those who live at our border do not have the luxury of such delusions, seeing their troops closing in on us just across it. Our dear but late Supreme Commissary, my good friend, Fernando Lawrencio, who lay dead at the murdering hands of the Oberkonig of Anglomir did not have that luxury! This is an attack we cannot leave unanswered. With every passing day, Westerners are preparing for war. It would be madness for us not to do the same! I implore our Armed Forces: through the strength of our navy, our air force, and our peacekeepers to carry-on this glorious defense of our Fatherland and his allies, from the shores of Skyhooked to our own.

As our fathers and grandfathers expelled the Western powers from our nine nations, so shall we protect these lands again, and expel their crusading hordes from Skyhooked.

Let us once again tell the Occident:

This is Asia. We will stand against imperialism!"

A Pan-Asiatic Sentinel, juxtaposed to the flags of the Pan-Asiatic States and Skyhooked, stands in attention as Knights of Mare Nostrum begin their landfall on Azure Beach.

Battle of Azure Beach Begins
Rodong Sinmun
June 5th, 2019

AZURE BEACH, SKYHOOKED—Knights of Mare Nostrum have begun their naval invasion of Skyhooked, and more than 500 dead from both sides have been approximated by the government of the Pan-Asiatic States. Shock troops from the Pan-Asiatic States and armored sentinels were deployed to counteract the maneuver by the Crusader forces, however, the Knights, aided by their own mechanical behemoths, were still successfully able to make landfall.

The war in Skyhooked continues to rage on as the Yeglan fleet mobilizes to protect Pan-Asiatic supply sectors. With diplomatic tensions and support for the Knights "Crusade" against the anarchist state increasing, the combined leftist-faction army continues to pulverize through hordes of invaders with the intent of destroying as many of them as possible. Soldiers from both sides have committed their lives to help the crusade fail or succeed.

Labor Ministress Leads Mob Against Beijing Arms Manufacturing Plant Manager
Bagumbayan
June 23rd, 2019

BEIJING—Three weeks of general strike by workers from a New China Arms Manufactory plant in District 2 of the State-Capital of China under the pretext of corruption of vouchers by their elected manager, Tian Luoyang, finally ends with executive impeachment after solid evidence, enough to be questioned by a court of law, was found by the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MLE) last Saturday (June 22nd, 2019) through extensive auditing procedures. Today, MLE Ministress Xiao Shui personally paid a visit to Beijing to deliver the Federal ordinance of impeachment.

At around 9:00 this morning, Ministress Xiao appeared before the rallying workers of the manufactory in her Communist Party attire hailing the bust as a "victory for the New Democracy". She controversially commended efforts by the organizers to protest when injustice had been inflicted on the masses, even though, especially during a time of war, when the diminishing of war materials necessitated less roadblocks to war-production.

"We [mustn't] let our values be forsaken during times like this, when it is our right to speak-up against authorities that is being challenged by Western dictators. In the face of hardship, let us show resolve.", said the Ministress in her address.

The workers of the plant are reportedly back to work at producing weapons for the current Skyhookedian conflict whilst the accused, Tian Luoyang, relieved of his duties as manager of the Beijing District 2 NCAM plant, will be tried by a People's Court next month to officiate a criminal sentence; though many are confident that he will be found guilty.

Pan-Asiatic States Receives Diyaristani Refugees
Eastern Press Universal
June 19th, 2019

NEO-MANILA—Secretary-General Abra announced in a press conference at around 11:00 this morning that the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to allow an unlimited number of VISAs for Diyaristani refugees fleeing the Second Diyaristani Civil War to become fully-fledged citizens of the Pan-Asiatic States. However, the Secretary-General has also announced that this will be the "final and only" action that the Pan-Asiatic States will make in regard to the Second Diyaristani Civil War.

Since earlier this month, representatives of the Armed Parliamentary Republic of Danlina, leader of the Socialist Economic Union (SUN), as a participant of the Civil War, had urged constituents to accept the refugees in their weekly convention of delegates. After consulting with members of the Congress of Soviets, and other members of the Pan-Asiatic Government, the Secretary-General has decided it best to support the call of Alexander Roso, Director of the Official SUN Directorate.

It can be recalled last year that the Secretary-General himself vied to intervene in the country's first civil war in order to support a fringe Communist faction which eventually lost the conflict. Members of the Diyaristani Communist Party remain in exile in the Pan-Asiatic States. Historically, this action has put the Pan-Asiatic States on a collision course with the Republic of Bruke among other nations who supported opposing factions.

According to the Secretary-General, the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs will work closely with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MLE) to secure jobs based on the refugees' level of education, as well as the National Authority for Urbanization and Public Construction (NAUPC) to secure standardized housing for the incoming refugees. The refugees will also be able to complete their education in a school of their choosing. The refugees will be allowed every privilege and responsibility granted to citizens of the Pan-Asiatic States, but only under the pretext that they "swear allegiance" to the ideals of the Federation and revoke their Diyaristani citizenship.

The Pan-Asiatic States has officially signed a statement of neutrality in regards to the current conflict in Diyaristan, and will only be intervening to stay true to their commitments to human rights and international stability. The first batch of Diyaristani refugees is set to arrive by plane in Neo-Manila around 7:00 this evening.

Secretary-General Announces Formation of the Srivijayan Consortium
Neo-Manila Post
June 30th, 2019

NEO-MANILA, Malacañang Palace—Members of the Press were summoned this afternoon, at around 5:32 PM, by the Office of the Secretary-General to formally announce the Pan-Asiatic States' creation of a new bloc of Oriental countries which the Pan-Asiatic States will lead for the purposes of promoting the "economic, political, and cultural influence of the nations of the Orient", calling it "an Anti-Imperialist treaty organization for developing countries".

According to the Secretary-General's briefing, this new alliance, which has been titled "The Srivijayan Consortium", has already been ratified by the leaders of the five other countries that will constitute it; those authorities being that of Prime Minister Haruka Nosaka of The Neo Japanese States, Supremo Cuerpo of the Haring Bayang Katagalugan, Leader Faatrik bin Samporna of Samporna, President Farshad Ghasemi of Allied Iran, and Grand Marshall Li Decheng of Great Lusung. These nations, alongside the Pan-Asiatic States will transcend mere political ideologies, and unite under the common cause of co-prosperity and mutual development. Many speculate that the foundation of this alliance lies in the shadow of "Western countries" interfering with the independence of its constituent nations, such as the suspected Anglomir-backed coup which had occurred in the Pan-Asiatic States mere months ago, and the various foreign sanctions being carried-out against the Jamahiriya of Samporna following its Gaddafist Revolution.

The name of the newfound alliance, according to the Secretary-General, was supposedly agreed-upon by communications between the leaders of Samporna and the Pan-Asiatic States; both of whom reminiscence the Srivijayan Empire, which was founded on commerce and culture. The ultimate point of the use of the term "Srivijayan Consortium", according to the Pan-Asiatic premier, was to ascertain that the differences in ideology between the countries that compose the alliance do not affect its solidarity in promoting the interdependence between independent nations. The alliance's focus, is, according to him, "[that] in the age of revolutions across the world, we do not invalidate the spurring ideologies of nations through economic pressure", and that this new bloc will also be used to counteract other Anglocentric treaty organizations such as NATO and the European Irredenta.

As a treaty organization itself, the Srivijayan Consortium will primarily be a regional assembly that may pass quasi-legislative ordinances across its member-nations through a congress between its ambassadors, the Asian Irrdenta. Plans for a quasi-judicial court have also been announced to be in the works.

In light of the creation of this alliance, a special autonomous region in the State of New Nusantara, the "Greater Palembang Autonomous Region" has also been announced. Its capital city, "New Palembang City", will be used to host delegates from the nations of the Srivijayan Consortium. The area has already been authorized for cession by the Federal Congress of Soviets, and governance of its territory will be assigned to a special governor who will be democratically nominated by the ambassadors of the Consortium on a date yet to be announced. The new urban territory has been in the works for 9 years now, and had originally been intended to be an exclusive economic zone in the Nusantara region. The Pan-Asiatic government states that it will still serve this economic purpose, as confirmed by the Supreme Commissary in a follow-up interview.

Resettlement to this new area has already begun; and the centralization of capital to the region is expected to go smoothly, since many of the foreign business which helped in its development originate from some of the constituent nations of the Srivijayan Consortium.

The city hosts three main zones; a political zone, a commercial zone, and a residential zone. The Secretary-General's plan details that all ambassadors to New Palembang are to be provided permanent residences in the residential zone. As in other cities in the Pan-Asiatic States, the only mode of transportation available to residents of the new city is the train. At the center of the urban development lies the Oriental Palace, the hall of congregation for the ambassadors of the countries of the Srivijayan Consortium.

The specifications of the agreement that the six founding countries of the Srivijayan Consortium will be bound by, the Consortium Proclamation, is set to be announced during the inauguration of the alliance sometime next month, when the leaders of the nations of the Consortium will visit New Palembang and announce their agenda to the world. Preparations for this celebration have already begun under the leadership of the Summit Organisational President, Amos Macatarungan.

Supreme Commissary Ren Cao Officiates Start of Bottom-Up Budgeting Season
Bagumbayan
July 1st, 2019

NEO-MANILA, Malacañang Palace—The Supreme Commissary of the Pan-Asiatic States, Ren Cao, gave due permission to District Councils to submit their proposed budgets in a press conference at around 6:23 this evening, officiating the beginning of the democratic bottom-up budgeting process duly conducted in the Pan-Asiatic States. Auditor-General Bao Young has allegedly finalized and submitted her yearly audit, marking the beginning of a new fiscal year.

Citizens have been advised to follow their local district's budget appropriation through https://bub.pas.gov, whilst District Councils have been given until December 20, 2019 to coordinate among themselves and with their States so that the government could publish the GAA (General Appropriations Act) Early Release on time. The Federation's budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021 is expected to be legislated by the end of January 2020.

The Supreme Commissary concluded by expressing his intentions to continue the Federation's current expansive fiscal policy, as mandated by the State Development and Planning Commission last year. Supreme Commissary Cao states that he will "continue the Pan-Asiatic States' embarkation on a road of socialist self-realization through the development of its economic resources" .

Ryang Dong-Wook, Federal Commissary of the State Development and Planning Commission, a noted and vocal advocate against Ren Cao's aggressive telecommunications industrialization reforms, which had taken much subsidy out the SDPC's own advised "heavy industry revitalization" agenda, agreed to set his differences with the leader aside in order to continue their work on national issues.

Ren Cao states that his top priority as of now will be the reconstruction of Urumqi's damaged market quarter, the diminishing of crime in Northern China, and the continual development of the BPO and IT sector in the Southeast Asian states such as Nusanatara and the Tagalog Soviet Socialist Republic. However, with his own approval ratings ravished by unsuccessful economic motifs, as one Chinese political commentator, Xie Jing, from the New China Daily puts it, "it is likely that without some sort of radical action to concretely improve the state of life across the Federation, [Ren Cao] will only fall out of favor with the people".

"Furthermore", as Xie Jing puts it, "Secretary-General Abra's trade and development initiatives have strengthened and increased the amount of capital which the government can use to maintain its industries, but Ren Cao faces a Congress dead-set on being cautious with the funds. Ren Cao's hands are simply tied."

Arkanian Royal House Backs Out of Allanean Arms Deal After Pan-Asiatic Counter-Offer
Neo-Manila Post
July 1st, 2019

VOLANTIS, Arkania—Gial Arctis, Patrirach of the House of Gial, Magister of Arkania announced around 5:00 PM (NMST+) this afternoon the cancellation of a trade deal between the House of Gial and the Free Kingdom of Allanea; which had originally involved the purchase of 119 Stormducklings and 75 Ultrahinds (Allanean-licensed military aircraft models) from the Allanean arms manufacturing company Allanean Defense Exports.

The deal, Arkania's only economic tie with the Free Kingdom, was a purchase made by a royal house of the Dominion of Arkania, House Gial, for its own air guard, which had been given the responsibility of protecting the State of Rakaid. Additionally the deal was also supposed to replenish Arkania's military numbers in the aftermath of its war against Atlantis.

The deal was stopped in its tracks today after the Pan-Asiatic Trade and Industry Commission, in coordination with the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Defense, reached out to the Patriarch of House Gial offering Pan-Asiatic military aircraft surplus instead, specifically 600 Abadilla "Scarlet Devil" multi-role Q-11s at a 39% discount per model. Secretary-General Abra cited in a communique to the patriarch of House Gial his "deep mistrust" for the Free Kingdom of Allanea and their politics.

The Federation and the Free Kingdom have long had a history of cold relations, especially due to the Allanean government's constant criticisms against the Pan-Asiatic States' Igarashi System. The Pan-Asiatic States has, in return, criticized Allanea's "bourgeois front" of freedom masquerading a tyrannical monarchy; as well as Allanea's high income inequality forcing many of the Kingdom's own citizens into downtrodden poverty.

The House of Gial has publicly thanked the Federation of Pan-Asiatic States for aiding them in the defense of their national sovereignty, whilst the Pan-Asiatic States has also publicly thanked the House for severing the only economic relation it had with the Free Kingdom of Allanea.

First Lady Appeals For PAMFA Undersecretary Nomination
Bagumbayan
JUly 9th, 2019

NEO-MANILA, TSSR, PAN-ASIATIC STATES—At 6:00 PM today, Katrina Nishikino-Abramovich, the wife of the Pan-Asiatic States' elected Secretary-General, Guanyu "Abra" Abramovich Jr., announced her intention to begin the screening and approval process necessary for applying for ambassadorship of the Pan-Asiatic States to the World Assembly by applying for the position of Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary. Mrs. Abramovich, who had also worked as the Secretary-General's campaign manager during the 2017 elections, and had herself participated in the 1995 Cultural Revolution in the same Red Guard outfit as the Secretary-General; had stated her reasons for running to be out of a "sincere love for her nation and people".

Mrs. Abramovich is the daughter of Arianna and Juanito Nishikino, Korean Nationalists who had worked in the Japanese Provisional Government two decades ago. She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a major in Political Science and a minor in Marxist Economics. Scarce is revealed about the premarital affairs of Katrina and Guanyu (by either of them) to the press, but it is widely speculated and accepted that their daily interactions in order to coordinate the success of the Cultural Revolution brought their relationship into fruition.

At present, Katrina Nishikino-Abramovich is a stay-at-home First Lady. Mrs. Abramovich has held no government position in the past, and Netizens are calling-out her lack of experience in international relations. No significant comment has been made by the Secretary-General on this decision by the First Lady, other than alleging her wholehearted support for her appointment by the standing committee; reiterating that it is "within her constitutional rights to do so". Mrs. Abramovich on the other hand had stated the benefit of such an arrangement in her enunciating speech, saying that "[it] would be convenient for the Asian people, as [her marital commitments to her husband] could solidify the foreign policy agenda of the Pan-Asiatic States".

The current Undersecretary of the Pan-Asiatic States, Zhan Yahui-Molotov Sr., has himself stated that, at the old age of 78, he has considered the possibility of resigning, but remains unsure of Mrs. Abramovich's gumption as the Pan-Asiatic States' next Foreign Affairs Undersecretary.

The Economic Effects of the Pan-Asiatic States' Intervention In Skyhooked
Caixin Global
July 18th, 2019

At a media briefing before the Secretary-General's speech last July 14th, 2019; State Soviet Sonya Yoon-Sook stated that the Secretary-General's plan for expenditure on the liberation of Skyhooked would entail 5.6 billion PALV (Pan-Asiatic Labor Vouchers) in military expenses and 1 billion PALV in reconstruction and other civilian costs. In the broad landscape of federal spending, those are not huge numbers, though 6.6 billion PALV is more than enough to cover the budgets for all the country's national parks, national forests, historic monuments, protected wetlands and wildlife refuges for half a year. Despite these numbers, a high number of Federal Congressman have cited their wholehearted support for Comrade Abra's offensive in Skyhooked, such as that of Congressman Wan Huo (Shenyang, Second District), who only three days prior to the announcement of Operation Sea Gypsy, personally funded several "Support Our Troops" lobbying campaigns.

What makes the cost issue increasingly sensitive is not just questions about whether it will buy success but also the fact that the new plan's cost will add to a mountain of bills for earlier military and reconstruction efforts with what many see as little or no positive return on the investment.

Some Trotskyists and hardline isolationists, especially fiscal conservatives worried about the deficit, are particularly unhappy because, they say, the State Soviet and the Secretary-General have refused to address the war's impact on the budget in a straightforward way. Instead of including war costs in the regular budget, such as the one the Secretary-General will send to Congress next month, the administration has been asking Congress for emergency-spending bills that short-circuit many of the usual review procedures for appropriating funds.

"Muting and undermining the legitimacy of the congressional role in funding is, I think, undermining to some degree the commitment to the war effort itself," Supreme Commissary Ren Cao said. The administration says its approach is necessary because it is unable to determine what it will need for the war in the coming fiscal year. Critics say that may have been true early in the war but that by now most costs are predictable far in advance.

Last year, Congress approved a provision in the annual defense authorization bill calling on the administration to change course and put its request for war funds in regular spending bills subject to full congressional review. Said Congressman Khun Meaker (Vientiane, Third District): "Neither the Administration nor the Federal Congress [are] (sic) making the tough decisions about how we are going to pay for the ongoing wars. Adding hundreds of billions of labor vouchers that are more conveniently designated as emergency expenditures so they do not have to be budgeted for along with other national priorities... is only making our fiscal problems that much greater."

Supreme Commissary Ren Cao, a strong dissident of the Secretary-General's "warmongering" proposed that Congress block Comrade Abra's new plan by withholding funds. To date, Congress has not used its power of the purse to limit Comrade Abra's prosecution of the war, partly because it doesn't want to seem to deny Pan-Asiatic troops any needed support. "If you cut off funding, you're cutting off support for the troops," said Commissary of Army Marshals Zhang Youxia. "Whether you support the battle they're involved in or not, the vast majority of the Asian public is still very supportive of our troops."

Starting with the Revised National Defense Appropriation enacted a week after the March 25 Uprising, the State Development and Planning Commission figures the Pan-Asiatic States has spent an approximate of 400 billion PALV in international conflicts alone. For fiscal 2019, Congress has so far approved 70 billion PALV. The Secretary-General is expected to ask Congress for 100 billion PALV more. Even if the fighting stopped soon, which few expect, the bills would continue to accumulate as the Ministry of Defense pushed to restore what the war had cost in troops and material.

But despite this, as referenced by the Commissary of Army Marshals, Caixin Global's recent political forecasts have indicated that 89.91% of most Asians support the war in Skyhooked. Perhaps the pathos behind this could best be explained by a statement by Kataas-taasang Almirante (Großadmiral) Hwang Min-Soo released in a transcript yesterday:

"The Crusader nations' peoples believed war to be a farce game played on far-away third world soil, a game without consequences. That is why they falsified their casus belli for this wretched conflict to start. We will show them the err of their willful ignorance. Our ancestors defended the peoples of the Third World in the Pacific Wars, we shall defend them now.

Operation Sea Gypsy has been our most ambitious Naval operation since the beginning of the 21st Century. Never has our Pan-Asiatic Navy coordinated with such extent and expectation since the days of Trotsky. We won then, we shall win again. Make no mistake, this is a gamble. But it is a gamble we must win.

Victory here will spark the triumph of Asian nations against Western nations in this generation. Who wins here will dominate tomorrow's trade and politics."

Operation Sea Gypsy: Largest Naval Operation Since Third Pacific War
Neo-Manila Post
July 14th, 2019

ATLANTIC OCEAN—This afternoon, the 3rd and 4th fleet of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces' Maritime Army have reportedly begun a general bombardment of the cities of Malta and Rapture, capitals of the Knights Mare Nostrum and the Rapture Republic respectively, as part of Oplan Badjao (Operation Sea Gypsy). This new offensive aimed at corking the inflow of supplies toward the Crusader troops in Skyhooked, as well as "bombing the enemy's population into submission" has been dubbed by media as "the largest naval operation since the Third Pacific War", since the Maritime Army, a fully Pan-Asiatic fleet, has currently broken the record for the largest sortie of Battlecruisers since the Battle for Leyte Gulf.

The operation was announced to the public this evening by Zhou Chang, Special Naval Intelligence Rapporteur (de jure, appointed) to Operation Sea Gypsy. For several weeks now, under the command of Kataas-taasang Almirante (Großadmiral) Hwang Min-Soo, the Maritime Army's 7th and 9th fleets have been raiding enemy supply convoys in and around the island through well-coordinated search-and-destroy operations, crippling much of the supply sectors which invading Kafairian and Knights Mare Nostrum soldiers had relied on in sustaining their crusader offensive of Skyhooked's capital island.

According to the Special Naval Intelligence Rapporteur, "[The stalemate on both the Knights' and Kafairian fronts] continues. With Kafairian soldiers now on Skyhookedian shores, the war had devolved into a war of attrition. The People's Maritime Army continues to create short, sneaking, cautious strikes against enemy supply convoys; significantly crippling the crusading forces' ability to operate on the mainland... A hungry and thirsty invading [Crusader] army is now reportedly forced to scour the land (Skyhooked) itself for food and water, hunting local game and cutting bamboo to survive. Without the sustenance they so badly needed, a major operation on the Crusaders' part would be catastrophic."

With the prolonged deprivation of resources of the Crusading army, the prevalence of air superiority in the hands of the People's Air Force, alongside a vast network of tunnels and trenches protecting Skyhooked's thick interior, and the defending forces having adapted a general guerrilla system of defense-in-depth tactics, the Asian Military Command is confident that the Crusaders' offensive will be halted completely in its tracks. Naval intelligence states that Malta and Rapture are expected to be bombarded by Naval artillery well into July until the beginning of August, and that they expect capitulation of all Crusader forces at least before the end of 2019.

All 9 State-Presidents were summoned and physically present, as well as 3998 of the 4000-man legislature. All PAFNA-OSM-registered media personnel were invited and present. The event was broadcasted not only across the Federation, but around the world.

This abridged version of the address highlights the 10 most important talking-points covered by the Secretary-General in his speech.

(OPENING REMARKS)

[ Executive Fanfare playing in the background, Secretary-General escorted by Party Security gendarme until he reaches the podium ]

Greetings of peace, Citizens of the Federation! Kindly sit down. How are all of you?

[loud continuous applause]

State Soviet Sonya Ruogang Yoon-Sook [applause] and the Honorable Soviets of the Federal Congress; State-Presidents of the Executive Council; Supreme Commissary Ren Cao, a good afternoon—to you, sir, [applause]. Wherever the following are; former Secretary-Generals José María Canlás Sison, and [applause] Hồ Ngọc Quang [applause]; His Excellency, Undersecretary Zhan Yahui-Molotov Sr. and the esteemed members of the Asian Diplomat's Cadre; Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Kim Han-Sol and the other members of the Cabinet; President of the Supreme People's Court Miss Chen Zexian and the Supreme Court body; my fellow workers in government; my most beloved countrymen. Thank you all, [applause] thank you all.

[ Fanfare tones-down gradually and finally comes to a stop ]

Let me begin by extending my hand in gratitude to all who kept faith with me in our most trying times. Numbers speak a thousand words and tell a hundred tales. But the landslide victory of the Administration as well as the latest survey results shows that my disapproval rating is 10.91%. [applause] I hope that the Soviets of Congress—I hope none of you are included in that 10.91% [laughter] — No, wait let me rephrase that, I am almost certain you are part of that 10.91%! [laughter followed by applause]

I kid, ladies and gentlemen, but really it inspires me with determination to pursue relentlessly what we have started at the start of my administration: safeguard our democracy, our people, our heritage, our way of life.

I told you many months ago, that our New Long March had to begin with a single step. Since July 2018, we have taken more than a few steps towards the expansion of our economic capabilities, the foundation of cordiality between our allies, the furtherance of both national and international peace, and of course, the progression of Socialism in our country.

1. (ON TRADE EXPANSION)

Mere months ago we bore witness to the response of the world to our rise to global prominence. We endured through the dark ages of the 20th Century, and built for ourselves the paradise of independence which we have always deserved. With the advice of the State Development and Planning Commission, we embarked on a Federal campaign to build-up our industries by securing greater trade deals with our allies and friends across the world; while our rivals in the West began making plans to build walls we built bridges and for that we prospered. Through the direction of my administration and the cooperation of the Trade and Industry Commission, our latest findings report that the nation's nominal GDP has risen from $26.88 trillion to $28.23 trillion between 2017 and 2019 thanks to additional trade surplus and debt payback alone.

But what was the response of the international community, particularly those [nations] in what economists consider to be the "developed" parts of the world?

Sanctions, embargoes targeted at crippling the People's Federation on the basis of bogus accusations such as "violations of human rights" and "creeping majoritarianism", to which I have responded before and will respond again: if it is the human rights of corrupt politicians and the freedoms of criminals which we are speaking of, then I have not a single care for them! I have urged them time and time again to respect our Socialism, our tradition of workers' democracy and Orientalism.

I cannot help but echo the late Comrade Stalin, as I have many times before: “It is difficult for me to imagine what “personal liberty” is enjoyed by an unemployed hungry person. True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation and oppression of one person by another; where there is not unemployment, and where a person is not living in fear of losing his job, his home and his bread. Only in such a society personal and any other freedom can exist for real and not on paper.”

Even the World Assembly recognizes this. Can the Occidental states boast the same 96.88 score on the worldwide Human Development Index as we are boasting today, as of 2019? This is why I urge the Executive Council, as well as my own countrymen, to disregard the lies being spread by the gangster-like media attitude of the West. I urge the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to never-mind any political fallout that may result in our aggressive trade expansion, and to instead help me safeguard our forward-march instead.
2. (ON TERRORISM)

When the economic offensive of those nations which have become household names due to their subversive and illegal activities, failed, those nations; the likes of Kjalaara and Anglomir, sent for the hounds. A group of armed men with sophisticated weaponry, aided by locals radicalized by extremist dogma and teachings fought our troops for weeks.

Who could forget the national tragedy that followed the March 25 Uprising, when our beloved "Charming Prince of the Tropic", our very head of government, one of our most esteemed statesmen, Fernando Lawrencio, was murdered out in the open by those bandits of the West: by the death squads of the greedy imperialists? Similarly I extend my sympathies to the late Cui Milihi, who was also, earlier in this administration's term, shot dead by counterrevolutionary dogmatists. Truly, the success of our Federation is tainted and trailed by the scent of death.

This is why I urge the Supreme Commissary to continue his anti-crime initiative in Northern China. It is also imperative that we increase the operating capabilities of the Special Police Force, and the Ministry of State and Public Security; we have been lenient with surveillance and peacekeeping within our own borders for far too long.
3. (ON TRICKLE-DOWN DIPLOMACY)

Aside from sustaining what we already have earned, we must also ensure that our Federation's economy has room to grow. This is why, after much thought, I have conceded to much of the State Soviet's stance on international aid. We have seen the devastating effects of the sanctions on our national budget. I believe that, in order for us to plant the seeds of a brighter and more prosperous Asia, not only for the duration of my term, but for many years to come, we must begin to become more vocal of the [political] situation of the countries around us.

This is where the Sixth Administration's focal foreign agenda comes into the fold: trickle-down diplomacy. The world is far too gripped in civil strife and ideological conflict, that it leaves little time for its people to govern and make for themselves their own destinies.

Just a few nights ago, I was woken in the middle of my slumber by the call of Undersecretary Zhan, informing me that a Civil War had broken-out in the Kingdom of Dmaguea; then again a few nights after, this time by a rebellion in Khataiy. Naturally I had to do my duty to reach-out to the appropriate ministries and ensure the protection of Asian life above all costs but it simply alarms me that war is once again becoming commonplace in this century.

Now, many of you, especially the young ones, will rub it in my face that our great Federation is partly at fault for that. Yet I beg to differ. I believe that it is in our People's War in Skyhooked, our aid to ideological allies such as Samporna, and our recently-concluded interventions in Israel and Cromwell Island, that is quickly making it known to our rival states that they should not even dare challenge our benevolent and sovereign authority in trade and that nor should they be allowed to bully those who have done us kindness.

[...]

The single greatest thing about the Pan-Asiatic States' foreign policy is that we never aim to force our ideology on any one country; we strive to liberate all countries from those who would.
4. (ON PROTECTIONISM)

Now more than ever it is clear that we have broken free from the great isolationist policies our forefathers cast upon us in the 20th Century [...] We march forward to embrace globalism, but we must also ensure our own national aspirations by protecting our trade and our like-minded alliances. Proposals have already been made by several Congresspeople regarding the expansion of our international aid budget, and I highly encourage everyone to support them with open minds and open hearts, [so that] we may freely and unerringly create a world in the shape of peace through Orientalism and solidarity.

[...]

It is my fervent hope that the prestige of our Armed Forces will establish footholds in the Middle-East and the Carribean through the Asia-sponsored State of Palestine and our Anti-Imperialist War in Skyhooked respectively. I believe that our dutiful resolve will grant us consented access to the rich oil fields of Samporna; while it is not our primary agenda especially in the wake of anti-LLF and anti-SNA atrocities being conducted by those who would like to prolong the conflicts in the country, it is certainly not a hidden one. Generally, it is my aim that our current wars of defense for other worldly Socialist states represent the prestige of the People's Federation, our commitment to our allies, and our unending interests to smash foreign aggression. The Pan-Asiatic States is, after all, the world's most advanced model of democratic cooperation in the 21st Century, only by right of protecting its people.

We do not want war, but sometimes it is necessary to take up the gun in order to abolish the gun.
5. (ON THE FORMATION OF THE SRIVIJAYAN CONSORTIUM)

As announced earlier this month, this Administration's solution to the gripping international crimes against developing nations across the world is the creation of the Srivijayan Consortium, a defense bloc and treaty organization focused on ensuring the integrity of nations young into their independence.
6. (ON MILITARY EXPANSION)

I urge everyone to follow the example of Comrade State-President Kazuo Shii and his "Strengthen Our Seas" Initiative in order to protect our trade convoys—this I beg most especially of the Executive Council and the Federal Congress. Not only will further increasing our military spending ensure the safety of our trade with the Soviet Union and Latin America, but it will provide long-term, meritocratic jobs to the thousands of citizens affected by the large-scale automation efforts being felt in population-centers like Neo-Manila and Beijing. To serve one's country is the most dignified role to play in the whole of the Federation.
7. (ON BURMA CLEAN WATER INITIATIVE)

Burmese State-President Cho Nandar and the Burmese District Assembly have been fighting for the implementation of the BCW [Burma Clean Water] Law since 2016, but concerns logistics and funding have continuously burdened them. [...] The BCW seeks to provide clean water through public taps all across Burma through rerouting many of the wartime-constructed utility systems lurking below their cities. [...] Now that our coffers are filling-up, much of their District Assembly is now ready to concede to its terms. The State-President has also approached me regarding a possibility that his model be implemented in the states of Nusantara, Indochina, and the Chinese region of Tibet. The Sixth Administration is in close coordination with both the Federal Congress of Soviets and the various District Assemblies of the states aforementioned in order to fully-achieve this goal.
8. (ON ANTI-RED TAPE INITIATIVE)

I command that welfare, healthcare, and housing agencies under the authority of the Supreme Commissary improve their services as data from the complaint center under my office show that most of you were the subject of many complaints. [...] I want the processing of permits to last only 3 days. I have consulted my administration about this matter, and we wholeheartedly agree that it is possible with necessary policing from the executive department. [...] Expect the Supreme Commissary and I to loom over all of you with great expectations from here on out until this goal is accomplished.
9. (ON SALARY INCREASE FOR GOVERNMENT WORKERS)

State Soviet Yoon-Sook has been in close coordination with me and the Federal Congress in order to complete and pass the Salary Standardization Law which will raise salaries for all Federal government workers, including teachers and nurses.
10. (ON THE WELFARE OF RICE AND COCONUT FARMERS)

I vow that my administration will, sooner or later, in coordination with the Federal Congress and the Ministry of Agriculture, implement the Rice Tariffication Law. [...] I call for the careful utilization of the coconut levy fund.

Civilians in Bandar Abbas join in the celebrations carrying red flags and Communist placards. (August 8th, 2019)

Red Victory in Bandar Abbas, Pan-Asiatic States Recognizes Dmaguean People's Republic!
Bagumbayan
August 8th, 2019

BANDAR ABBAS, Kingdom of Dmaguea, 6:00 A.M—Dmaguean Communist forces victoriously parade along the city's major streets as the Royal Guard executes a full withdrawal of their forces. Similar celebrations occurred a day ago, in Tehran, when the Communist military successfully captured the major geopolitical Dmaguean city.

Acting under the moderation of its ruling Secretary-General, Guanyu "Abra" Abramovich Jr., assembled the Executive Council this morning, 8:06 A.M, August 8th, in the Common Year 2019, at the capital of the Federation, Neo-Manila. The congregation has reached an official consensus in regards to recent developments concerning the civil conflict within the Kingdom of Dmaguea.

The democratic referendum which has taken into account the fact-finding of the Federation's diplomatic corps, has concluded that an end to the current war is imminent and that the absolution of peace falls into the hands of the great powers of the world. According to a release by the Secretary-General, the Pan-Asiatic States seeks to be the first to make great strides towards an effective peace in the region by recognizing a legitimate faction.

The consensus made by the Executive Council further cites:

"Owing to its historical development, Communism in Dmaguea has actively been considered taboo by its rulers. While we have consolidated the socialist society in the Pan-Asiatic States, many nations still suffer under the despots of old. The workers of Dmaguea have no voice, no means to organize, and any attempts to institute socialism will be crushed savagely by the withstanding imperialist regime. We cannot wait for the gears of the international revolution to turn for the Dmaguean people. With our Socialist-Orientalist revolution we have proven that we could crush the capitalist oppressors here, and the Communists of the Kingdom will crush the oppressors in Dmaguea as well.

The terms of this agreement however, should not be mistaken as a declaration of war or a promise of intervention on behalf of the Federation, but instead merely as an instrument of discourse and peacekeeping based on what the government of the republics of Asia consider righteous. We believe that the fate of Dmaguea is ultimately decided by the Dmaguean people alone, and we will continue to stay true on our promise of non-aggression. The Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces will continue its policy on non-involvement in the conflict, however, the Executive Council's directive towards the gradual self-realization of Communist Dmaguea should remain clear.

The treatise of the Executive Council, which shall be duly promulgated to the respective governments of the world, makes known the position and directives of the Pan-Asiatic States at the moment, which are in essence, the following:

  1. ) The Pan-Asiatic States has chosen to recognize the legitimacy of the newly-constituted Communist State which has taken a foothold in major geopolitical areas within the Kingdom, and urges the global community to do the same;
  2. ) The Pan-Asiatic States will commence total economic sanctions with the acting government of the Kingdom and will instead begin the negotiation of trade partnership and subsidization with the Revolutionary Government of Dmaguea;
  3. ) The Pan-Asiatic States will actively continue to pursue a policy of cordiality with the newly-constituted Communist State in Dmaguea and;
  4. ) The Executive Council of the Pan-Asiatic States orders the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs to concede to the directive of abolishing the capacity for reception of refugees fleeing the current conflict."

This consensus was carried out based on the input of the total constituency of the Executive Council, with 7 of its members voting Yea, and 2 voting Nay:

Ms. Maria Leonor "Leni" Gerona Robredo, TSSR: Yea
    Mr. Kerika-Rebia Kasi, USM: Yea
    Mr. Joko Widodo, FNN: Yea
    Ms. Mani Rojumanong, TIPRI: Yea
    Ms. Cho Nandar, BSSR: Yea
Mr. Nguyễn Phú Trọng, TSSR: Yea
    Mr. Xi Jinping, China: Yea
    Mr. Kim Jong-Un, DPRK: Nay
    Mr. Kazuo Shii, JSSR: Nay

The terms of the treatise are to be considered legitimate effective immediately. The Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PAMFA) also stated in a later public communique by PAMFA Undersecretary Zhan Yahui-Molotov Sr., that they will commence working with the Trade and Industry Commission in order to draft an economic agenda towards the re-stabilization of the Dmaguean region under Communist rule.

Katrina Nishikino-Abramovich Voted-In As PAMFA Undersecretary and WA Delegate
Bagumbayan
August 11th, 2019

NEO-MANILA, TSSR, Pan-Asiatic States—At 3:00 PM today, in conclusion to a 3-day series of trials which begun last August 9, 2019, Katrina Nishikino-Abramovich, wife of the Pan-Asiatic States' acting Secretary-General, Guanyu Abramovich Jr., was voted-in by a roughly 2/3rds majority of the Congress of Soviets' standing committee as Undersecretary to the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, as per the constitution, de jure delegate of the Pan-Asiatic States to the World Assembly.

The newly-elected Undersecretary, who had prepared for a total of one month since her enunciation of candidacy for the position last July, has promised to give the Federation a more active role to play on the world stage. She had raised various concerns about the previous leaders who had held her position beforehand, giving notice to the Pan-Asiatic States' lack of attention to humanitarian aid and compliance to various magna carta. Her primary agenda, according to herself, is to gear the global community into a more progressive stance on civil, cultural, and human rights by promoting international discourse and giving the Pan-Asiatic masses ultimate disclosure about the Assembly's proceedings.

The Undersecretary hopes also to actively seek the advice of the Pan-Asiatic Quasijudicial Law Advisory Committee (PAQLAC) in fulfilling her role as the nation's foremost representative to the international community, and she also hopes to work with the Sixth Administration in complying with the currently-existing terms of international law, as well as whatever treaties may follow her appointment.

Her appointment has caused much controversy within the Federation, and had been doing so since she announced her intentions to run for the position. While the electoral process was duly fulfilled in acquiring her role, many are criticizing how it was in "bad taste" for an acting First Lady to be involved with executive agenda during the term of her husband as Secretary-General. Talk show host on ATV's 5:00 PM segment "RealTalk", Lin Xinya, among many other netizens on various social media platforms, have referred to the risque move as "plutocratic" and unaligned to the Secretary-General's anti-corruption agenda.

The Secretary-General responded to these accusations later this afternoon, and has publicly stated in a Tweet that he and his wife's personal matters should be "left-alone in matters unrelated to Federal politics". He had also cited earlier that there should be no issue regarding the appointment because he does not intend to involve his personal affairs with state affairs and that his wife was only carrying-out what she felt was her "civil responsibility".

Zhan Yahui-Molotov Sr., who was voted out of the office of PAMFA Undersecretary to give political leeway for Mrs. Abramovich, has commented that at least in this way, major international agenda could be more easily-coordinated between the Sixth Administration and the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The 78-year-old politician has also congratulated the newly-elected Undersecretary for her fairly-won victory, and has announced his intention to permanently retire from public service in order to become a loving grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He will be retreating to his family's ancestral home in Duoyishu, a village in southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

End to Samporna-LLF Crisis Declared, PASAF Withdraws Peacekeepers
Pravda Asiatica
August 10th, 2019

FORT YUHANNA, Kutawatu, Jamhiriya of Samporna—Daimyo-Heneral Kwang-Hyun, Commander of the Pan-Asiatic Interventionary Forces to the Jamahiriya (People's State) of Samporna, stood before high-ranking leaders of the Sampornese National Army (SNA) as well as members of the Popular Conference of Samporna in order to celebrate the official withdrawal of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces from major military encampments on the archipelago-nation today, at around 7:30 in the evening, following the beginning of peace talks between Sampornese Government and the Lumad Liberation Front (LLF). The celebrations included an Asian-sponsored gala between Sampornese and Asian political and military authorities, as well as a final military parade of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces. The entire peacekeeping contingent is set to leave for Neo-Manila tomorrow morning.

The Secretary-General personally briefed the press later that night, at around 8:00, declaring, on behalf of the Executive Council, an official "end" to the Lumad rebellion in that region as well as the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces' intervention in securing a lasting peace between the two factions.

Peace-talks began last August 9th in Iskanderun, Khataiy, a diplomatically-neutral zone, where both sides of the uprising met to discuss the cessation of land and the constitution of a "Lumad Republic" for Samporna's Lumad minority.

"Our demands are simple," declared Pertiwi, the leader of the Lumad delegation at Iskanderun. "We the Lumads, have our own languages, cultures, history and religion separate from the Sampornese. We are our own nation, and Article 1 in both the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) reads: 'All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.' As such, it is our demand that we be granted our right to self-determination as a nation, and be allowed to become a country immediately."

"There is always a price for freedom," Pertiwi was quoted telling the Sampornese delegation last August 9th. "As your (the Sampornese) people fought against Spanish imperialism long ago despite their offers, we will fight for our freedom regardless of what you have to offer."

While the Lumads would not be granted immediate independence, the negotiations concluded that they will be granted an autonomous state facilitated by the Lumad Liberation Front. Over the course of ten years, the Autonomous State of Bangsalumad (ASBL) will slowly transition from being an autonomous state within the country of Samporna to an independent country from Samporna. The ten year transition would allow both nations to make themselves economically independent off each other, thus removing the risk of the impoverishment of both countries at once. The supporters of the insurgency would be revealed to the Jamahiriya by the LLF, as the former Sampornese Liberal Party. For treason against Samporna, several executions have also been set to be made by the Jamahiriya based on the aforementioned presumptions; however, some are reported to remain in exile, beyond the reaches of the Sampornese people.

Federal Comissary of Army Marshals of the Pan-Asiatic States, Zhang Youxia, who flew-in from Neo-Manila yesterday morning, announced at the celebrations today that a permanent military attaché to the Jamahiriya, to be spearheaded by General Wakuri Dokuohtei of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces, will be sent to oversee the negotiation of a possibility for the PASAF and the SNA to begin joint training exercises to be conducted in Samporna. The Federal Commissary also hinted at the possibility that the PASAF would negotiate setting-up and sponsoring co-owned military installations with the SNA in case further threats arise, even beyond the SNA-LLF conflict.

The casualties of the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces in the SNA-LLF conflict, counted at approximately 56 dead, 43 wounded, and 4 missing-in-action, will be given a collective state-funeral next week, August 16th. They will be honored with a burial at Neo-Manila's Libingan ng Mga Bayani (Cemetery of Heroes), alongside the graves of all past Asian conflicts, including that of the Pacific Wars. The Secretary-General and the Supreme Commissary have both confirmed that they would attend the ceremonies of solemnity.

Six Asian soldiers received the Order of Heroic Exemplar during the peacekeeping mission, namely: Datu Pranon Singharattanapan (21st Siamese Echelon "Bang Klang Haw" Mobile Artillery Division), Datu Ōshiro Nagato (11th Okinawa Echelon "Suliko" Ranger Division), Lance Corporal Sol Min-Kyung (post-mortem)(42nd Pan-Asiatic Frontier Infantry Division), Lance Corporal Nguyễn Nhất Tiến (post-mortem)(5th Irregular Partisan Regiment), Aspirant First Class Tsukino Kane (36th "Undas" Jungle Combat Company), Aspirant First Class Poltorak Ventura (36th "Undas" Jungle Combat Company), and Aspirant Second Class Henri Cho (5th Irregular Partisan Regiment).

One Asian infantryman, Captain Cai Jun of the 29th Jungle Combat Company (a native of the 42nd Pan-Asiatic Frontier Infantry Division who was transferred to the 29th as the leader of support company during the final week of the conflict), has also been nominated for the highest military order in the Pan-Asiatic States, the Order of Mao Zedong, and, as per the properties of the award will de facto be named as a "Hero of the Oriental Peoples". His outfit's Babaylan (Technological and Political Officer), Shen Shui, expressed confidence in her proposal and is hopeful that the Federal Congress will heartily accept Cai's acts of bravery in successful leadership of raids against the rebels as legitimate.

New Asia-Africa Procurements Threaten Western Foreign Direct Investments
Caixin Global
August 21st, 2019

The Pan-Asiatic States and Africa have been partnering on investments for approximately the last decade. Today, August 21st, 2019, delegates from both the Pan-Asiatic States and several African states including South Africa, Benin, Togo, and Libya, met at Cape Town to initiate the eighth annual Forum on Asia-Africa Cooperation. The collaboration and cooperation summit makes Africa one of Asia’s greatest allies in the current global market environment. The level of Asia's investment in the continent of Africa has been increasing at a steady rate. Last year, at the 2018 Asia-Africa Cooperation Forum, Asia announced it would be providing $60 billion in financial support to Africa. This number is only expected to expand as the People's Federation enters its Bottom-Up Budgeting season.

Some of the primary motivations that lie behind the Pan-Asiatic States' push toward increased investments in African nations include the desire to secure a solid base of raw materials to fuel the Federation's own rapidly growing economy, the desire to increase Pan-Asiatic global political influence and the major growth opportunity presented by emerging market economies in Africa.

Mining and oil remain a primary focus of the Pan-Asiatic States' investments; however, the country's investments extend throughout virtually every market sector, including everything from infrastructure to food processing. The Pan-Asiatic States' investments in the largely undeveloped infrastructure of African nations are particularly strong, encompassing key areas such as utilities, telecommunications, port construction and transportation.

The Pan-Asiatic States' investments have the country well-positioned to profit from continuing economic development in Africa. Among the concerns involved in today's talks, many more Pan-Asiatic firms which have already established bases in the continent and are continuously investing in Africa are state-owned by the Pan-Asiatic government. This gives them a notable competitive edge when, for example, bidding procurement contracts in African countries, since the companies can obtain substantial subsidies from the Asian government.

The stakes in Africa are high due to the continent's rich abundance in raw materials. Africa is estimated to contain 90% of the entire world supply of platinum and cobalt, half of the world's gold supply, two-thirds of world manganese and 35% of the world's uranium. It also accounts for nearly 75% of the world's coltan, an important mineral used in electronic devices, including cellular phones. The Pan-Asiatic States has also been expanding its military presence into Africa, rivaling the United States in investment and military activity there. Investment in the continent has also been a topic of discussion for the United States and the Pan-Asiatic States in its ongoing trade negotiations and political deliberations.

However, today's talks, briefly mentioned in a press release this evening by the newly-elected Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and acting First Lady, Katrina Nishikino-Abramovich, may antagonize the investments, directives, and economic influences of other countries in the West and/or allied with Western countries as well, most notably those of Anglomir, Atkemri, United Avon, and Allanea.

The press release mentioned the deliberation of the introduction of twenty-six new mining, infrastructure, and transportation state-owned concerns to several of the member-states on the African bloc of the talks. For the past two decades of rising Pan-Asiatic economic influence in Africa, major subsidies in such sectors have crippled the above Western nations' own industries by raising higher investment stakes, lowering the prices on goods necessary to the development of and are exported by the Pan-Asiatic States to the African countries, and providing "solution specialists" such as doctors, IT professionals, architects, and economists through various aid missions to low-GDP African countries.

The Pan-Asiatic States is a premier emerging market nation, and the well-being of its economy significantly impacts world markets. As the world's largest nation continues its economic expansion, Asian leaders recognize the increasing need for natural resources, food and product markets necessary for continued economic growth. The focus on resource-rich Africa is a logical one for the Pan-Asiatic States. Mining investments account for nearly one-third of Asia's total foreign direct investment, or FDI, in African nations. By working to secure a solid base of critical raw materials, the Pan-Asiatic States strengthens its economy for decades to come.

International Socialist Congress Finds Kingdom of Jaragupta Guilty of "Crimes Against the Proletariat"
Neo-Manila Post
August 12th, 2019

BRATISLAVA, Aressna—The International Socialist Congress (ISC) ended its deliberation of the Pan-Asiatic States' proposal, as drafted by delegate of the People's Federation Pan-Asiatic States and acting Party Secretary of the International Socialist Congress, Jiang Xuegang under the directive of the Federation's acting Secretary-General, to the assembly today. The proposal which had been under scrutiny for more than two months now, concluded with the mutual agreement of the member-states of the Congress to find the Kingdom of Jaragupta guilty of "Crimes Against the Proletariat", a de facto choice of words coined by delegate Jiang in his leadership of the agenda to investigate and indict international action against the Kingdom's inhumane treatment of workers, "abhorrent" labor legislation (and lack thereof), as well as its brutal crackdown on local dissent.

The origins of the proposal, one of the first to be passed in the history of the International Socialist Congress, against the Kingdom of Jaragupta, a resource-rich yet impoverished island-nation in the Northeast Wishton Sea and a minor player in world history, was brought into international spotlight much earlier this year, last February, after a daring appeal by one of Jaragupta's own working-class; now a Pan-Asiatic refugee and a whistleblower against his own government, 39-year-old contractual miner Esharveer Mahil, who was most-famously quoted speaking-out against his government in the first assembly of the International Socialist Congress last April, saying:

"... Many workers of the provincial areas are distraught by a feudal system of compensation. 41% of our shrunken wages are deducted for social services compensation-- compensation which never arrives. Compensation which manifests as long hospital lines and pension denial. We are treated like the scum of the earth by Jaraguptan society.

... I have experienced the horrors of such economic corruption beforehand, as it was a miracle for me to even land a job scraping bat guano. I testify to the deaths of my co-workers under the brutal famines caused by the lack of capital, primitive distribution methods, and underdeveloped industry; the forced seclusion of companies for their workers to be transferred to remote islands off-the-coast of the mainland to do unregulated and unregistered labor; among many other forms of persecution by the Imperial regime."

Jaragupta's second major appearance on the news cycle occurred on the 20th day of May this year when rapporteurs uncovered deliberate attempts by the Kingdom's administration to cover-up the conduction of a government-sanctioned military operation against the radical Jaraguptan Marxist insurgency organization, the Hamikh Democratic Liberation Front (HDLF), which led to the unprecedented slaughter of several non-combatants, most notably, several women and children by hired mercenaries working in cooperation with the Jaraguptan Army.

For the sake of Eshraveer's appeal, the lives lost in the systematic genocide of Jaragupta's working-class, and that of many others' of whom the Kingdom has silenced, voices of activists and citizens alike, over the course of two months, rapporteurs of the Congress witnessed first-hand and deliberated the consequences brought-on by the attempts of the Jaraguptan government to persecute its people in the name of patriotism, utilitarianism, and old-fashioned elitism. While the Kingdom is a parliamentary democracy by trade, its infamous rampant corruption has manifested itself in the underdevelopment of the Jaraguptan nation. Even the World Assembly Human Rights Council (WAHRC) recently released a study citing Jaragupta as one of today's 50 most impoverished nations.

The joint statement released by the member-states of the International Socialist Congress today could be summarized in its three "core principles", its collective stance on the labor crisis in Jaragupta, namely:

  1. The countries of the International Socialist Congress have agreed to find the Kingdom of Jaragupta to be a farce representation of the nation's ideals for self-governance, due to assertions by its people and overwhelming evidence beyond the realm of doubt to conclude the democratic system in Jaragupta to be defunct. The separation of powers have been proven to be bypassed by an increasingly powerful executive branch of government.
  2. The countries of the International Socialist Congress have agreed to find the Kingdom of Jaragupta guilty of crimes against the proletariat deemed in violation of the fundamental rights of its citizens by exploiting both their economic and physical endurance as human beings due to evidence supported by numerous members of the nation, as whistleblowers, beyond the realm of doubt in their testimony, and pragmatic accounts suggesting them to be true.
  3. The countries of the International Socialist Congress have agreed to find the Kingdom of Jaragupta unstable in their governance, and, working in the best interests of the citizens of Jaragupta, this Congress recognizes the incapability of the current dicta to stabilize the national interests of freedom and prosperity by settling matters of unrest throughout the territories of the Kingdom of Jaragupta. This Congress finds the popular unrest a signature of the counter-dicta of the Jaraguptan masses to prefer a change of authority, unaddressed by the defunct democracy of the nation.

Delegate Jiang Xuegang was further pursued by reporters for follow-up questions regarding the possibility of a mobilization of the International Socialist Volunteer Corps (ISVC) to intervene on the islander-nation. He simply replied that it was not out of the question, but that it was "not in his authority [to confirm]" whether or not it was a part of the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affair's official policy towards Jaragupta. So far, officials of the Foreign Affairs department of the government of the Pan-Asiatic States have also refused to comment.

Despite these answers, several member-states of the International Socialist Congress have confirmed that the next agenda of the assembly is concerned with the constitution and budget-allocation of an "ISVN", or an International Socialist Volunteer Navy, which many major media figures have used to justify their theory that the International Socialist Congress is preparing for war.

Anti-Red Tape Initiative Sweeps Asian Bureaus
Bagumbayan
September 16th, 2019

Following the Secretary-General's SONA declaration that the processing of major socioeconomic permits (such as welfare, medical, and housing entitlement permits) must be cut to take only 3 days at the maximum, the Federation's major Ministries have worked in excessive support to extend their accessibility—at the cost of the loss of oversight and susceptibility to corruption, according to Supreme Commissary Ren Cao.

The Ministerial chief executive said on Monday, September 16th, 2019, in a controversial public memorandum that "the efforts to drawback processing time [have] significantly crippled the due diligence of the Ministries to perform with precision". When questioned by reporters, the Supreme Commissary's spokesperson said that the release was "not at all a statement of impossibility" towards the directive of the Secretary-General.

Regardless of intention, the memorandum's statement was not at all unsupported by factual evidence, as detailed in its report of the conditions of various government agencies at present. A study conducted by the Office of the Interior and Local Government (OILG) reported that since last month, there has been a 36.7% mean rise in the margin of error for housing, energy, and water utility access and registration permits, even higher (50.67%) among the affairs between the government and those afflicted by poverty incidence. The report suggests highly a strong connection between the aforementioned statistics and permit falsification rather than trivial erroneous transaction, although the number of investigative audits nor the success rate of routine audits in catching permit-forgers has not increased by a significant margin.

The effects of the initiative have been felt all across the continent, with over 900 government employees, notably, customs officers, clerks, accountants, rapporteurs, researchers, and auditors, having been transferred into other lines of work, such as in the various state-owned businesses that operate through the Pan-Asiatic States.

The Secretary-General has refused to comment on the issue at this time.

Khataiy Enterprises Welcome Asian Investment
Caixin Global
September 11th, 2019

ANTAKYA, Arab State of Khataiy—"Our nations may not agree entierly, or see eye to eye all the time, but we would still like to build a strong and beneficial relationship with the Pan-Asiatic states, we also respect and admire your nation's rapidly growing influence and success. We would like to partner with your nation in the face of the various threats across the world," said Uthman al-Ghamadi, Foreign Minister of Khataiy in a communique on Wednesday.

Since the mutual raising of tariffs between Allanea and the Pan-Asiatic States on each other heated-up into a trade war last month, Antakya officials reminded Asian economic directors that the Khataiyi market was open to development regardless of political affiliation, and was too, an ally against Allanea's politicization of Asia's growing economic influence over the world.

In response to the communique and Khataiy's openness, over 78 of the Pan-Asiatic States' largest state-run firms in the retail, mining, construction, and oil extraction industries, under the direction of the Trade and Industry Commission (T&CI), have applied for operation in Khataiyi economic zones and have invested their resources into meeting the Khataiy's wide consumer base. This expansion is expected to drive profits up for the Pan-Asiatic States, and drive the price of the aforementioned commodities in Khataiy down.

State Development and Planning Commission (SDPC) Federal Commissary, Ryang Dong-Wook, commented in his press briefing that the handling of the investments were being closely coordinated among the members of the State Development Directorate (SDD) in order to maximize the benefits for both parties. Federal Commissary Ryang also mentioned that he was open to "further talks and negotiations" between the economic departments of the Arab State and the People's Federation.

The Federal Commissary has also hinted at the possibility of engaging in a joint socioeconomic summit between Khataiy and the Pan-Asiatic States sometime in the near future. Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PAMFA) Undersecretary, Katrina Nishikino-Abramovich, further commented on this idea by saying that an official state-visit by the Pan-Asiatic States to Khataiy could also be in order soon.

Ministry of Water Resources Proposed
Neo-Manila Post
September 17th, 2019

CONGRESS OF SOVIETS, Neo-Manila, Pan-Asiatic States—A new law set into motion by a bloc of Southeast Asian Congresspeople endeavors the establishment of a water-distribution Ministry with separate funding from the MInistry of Environment and Natural Resources. The law, in its natal stages, suggests transferring the subsidization of the Pan-Asiatic Standard Water Company (PASWC) and the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) under the umbrella of this new agency, and the constitution of several other new bureaus.

Congresswoman Helena Cojuangco of Nueva Ecija issued a Congressional Proposal Paper in the afternoon of last Monday, September 16th, 2019. 8:00 this morning at the Bagong Katagalugan University's forum hall, she, along with her bloc of 56 other Congressmen and Congresswomen from the states of New Philippines, New Campuchia, New Nusantara, and Siam, offered to answer questions from the general public on their work.

According to them, they intended to pattern and federalize the Clean Water Initiative (BCWI) being carried-out in Burma by State-President Cho Nandar, which had become increasingly more popular among the state's low income and rural population over the past few months of its enactment for its promise to provide clean, sanitary, and potable water throughout the region. Congresswoman Cojuangco's newly-proposed law however, the Water Security Federalization Bill of 2019, goes one step further, developing critical institutions dedicated to the innovation of pre-existing water technology.

The proposal promulgates that the Ministry of Water Resources will become the executive department of the Pan-Asiatic government responsible for preparing, integrating, manipulating, organizing, coordinating, supervising and controlling all plans, programs, projects and activities of the government relative to clean water resource exploration, development, utilization, distribution and conservation, with the primary agenda being to render, develop, and maintain a continuous supply of potable water free for all Asian citizens.

However, opposition blocs have questioned whether the extensive budgetary allocation which the bill demands is worth it. Congressman Nakashima Higashikuni of the Nara prefecture of Japan, a leader of a 103-member Congressional bloc which pushes for the expansion of the Federation's environmental resources development funding based on a bill he authored two weeks prior openly criticized Cojuangco's bill in an interview with the Neo-Manila Post this afternoon, where he raised the concern of many of his allies—that it would essentially smash critically-demanded funds utilized by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to solve pressing issues like climate change and deforestation by "splintering" from the central agency.

At present, Congresswoman Cojuangco and her bloc-mates' proposal is pending an official hearing by the Congress of Soviets, and their efforts to lobby the bill continue as background noise to Federal politics as proceedings involving the Coconut Levy Fund Bill come to a conclusion when it is voted upon this Thursday.

Free Aceh Movement Resurfaces in Pan-Asiatic States
The Voice of Nusantara
September 18th, 2019

ACEH, Federation of New Nusantara, Pan-Asiatic States—The armed secessionist organization, the Free Aceh Movement (Indonesian: Gerakan Aceh Merdeka or simply GAM, Acehnese: Geurakan Acèh Meurdèka, also: Gěrakan Aceh Měrdeka), previously branded by the People's Federation of Pan-Asiatic States as a Medium Threat terrorist organization, has made a volatile resurgence in Southern Nusantara after a detachment of Acehnese militants overpowered Pan-Asiatic forces and seized multiple minor villages and municipalities within the West Aceh Prefecture, on the road to the key city of Calang.

The Free Aceh Movement is a separatist group seeking independence for the Aceh region of Sumatra from the Pan-Asiatic States. Their military leaders have been linked to several other notorious terrorist organizations operating in the Pan-Asiatic States advocating for secessionism and/or Anti-Communism, such as the Neo-Kuomintang Revolutionary Army (NKRA) in China and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in the Tagalog Soviet Socialist Republic. The GAM fought against the Imperial Japanese government during the Aceh insurgency from 1976 to 1991, and then against the Pan-Asiatic States government from 1991 until the present during which over 38,000 lives within the region are believed to have been lost.

The GAM have also been investigated to have established connections with the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and declassified documents by the Pan-Asiatic States' Ministry of State and Public Security (MSPS) have unveiled in previous years that several contracts between the American government and the Aceh insurgents have perpetuated the guerilla war through illegal transactions of arms and ammunition. The American government has refuted and denied these claims.

Peace talks with the leaders of the insurgency were attempted in 2005, where the Pan-Asiatic government even offered amnesty for participants of the conflict, but were ultimately, and vehemently turned-down. The GAM have fought a guerilla war since then, but despite this, the Ministry of Defense reported their numbers to be merely around 1,000 to 1,500, and their strength in military technology to be below-average. These were both justified by the exponentially increasing number of defectors between 1991 and 2005, and the fact that the GAM still equips their militants with dated Second Pacific War-era small arms.

Between 2005 and 2019, an unsettling and tranquil lack of aggression from both sides existed, and raids against civilian and military targets confirmed to be of Acehnese origin in the region were averaged at only around 4 to 5 times per six months. Usually, these attacks were selective, only targeted against deliveries of food and clean water. The Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces (PASAF), on the other hand, found much trouble in rooting-out the insurgency, as the mountainous terrain proved difficult and atrocious even for the most experienced of special forces units.

This tranquility was shattered this morning, when a battalion of Acehnese militants stormed the region with overwhelming manpower, equipped with the latest technology, and through modern infiltration tactics. Despite the fact that the Western and Southeastern Aceh Prefectures were quarantined high-conflict sites by the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces, Acehnese forces were able to catch the 33rd and 41st Pan-Asiatic Frontier Infantry Divisions off-guard. In response to this, the 9th Core Type 99a Armored Infiltration Regiment was deployed along with a Task Force of Armored Sentinels.

While the advance was halted, especially with the introduction of the 3rd Fighter Wing operating from and around Banda Aceh, the GAM's retreat preserved their forces, and continue to hold the city of Calang hostage. With an estimate of around 5,000 Acehnese rebels entrenched around the forests and mountains of Calang's outskirts, the city is cut-off from much-needed medical supplies and necessities, which have been attempted to be airlifted via the People's Air Force. While attempts in the afternoon were successful, the People's Air Force remains wary of handheld rocket-launchers and flak cannons hidden by the Acehnese military.

"This isn't Israel nor Skyhooked. Their deployment isn't really as massive as most enemies which have had engagements against the People's Army," cited Daimyō-Heneral Mã Sơn Lâm of the Forward Infantry Corps, Commander-in-Chief of Operation Sandbox, the operation to repel the terror-attacks of the Acehnese threat, during an interview with the Neo-Manila Post. "It's the terrain that burdens [our] troops ... We suspect that they are operating around the mountainous peripheral of Meulaboh. They have fortresses underground all the way from Calang to there... Our conventional army is not trained for mountainous warfare. The enemy is heavily fortified and we must exercise the utmost caution to protect civilian life and deter wasting the lives of our troops."

Muddy terrain caused by an influx of storms in the region have also slowed the approach of Sentinel units, although mechanized infantry have made their way through easily via Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs). Despite this, garrisons in the region remain critically unprepared for mounting an offensive, and the Daimyō-Heneral believes that a strong, underplanned offensive on the area may cause a severe casualty rate.

"I would not waste the life of a Pan-Asiatic hero for ten Acehnese soldiers. One death is one too many.", remarked the Commander-in-Chief.

Excavation Unearths Remains of Over 500 Imperial Japanese Soldiers
Yinchuan Rose
September 20th, 2019

NEO-MANILA, Pan-Asiatic States—At the main office of the Pan-Asiatic States' Ministry of Culture (MOC), Minister of Culture Haggai Sitanggang, accompanied by members of the Asian Archeological and Anthropological Institute (AAAI), National Historical Commission (NHC) and the Bisi Archaeology Survey (BAS) of the Narnian Republic of Bisim, unearthed the eerie results of an archeological dig which began in August, earlier this year: 512 well-preserved corpses, as well as several pieces of Third Pacific War-era equipment of the now defunct Imperial Japanese Army trapped beneath an underwater cavern near modern-day Dalian, China, at the Liaodong Peninsula. The partially-submerged sinkhole, upon which several layers of rock seemed to have collapsed on, indicated that the unit was trapped between a bubble of oxygen and the Peninsula's seafloor.

James Dixon of Bisi Archaeology Survey was the spokesperson and specialist who handled the project, a national of Bisim with 15 years of experience handling underwater and partially-submerged project sites for their firm.

"Our investigation focused primarily on uncovering how and why a group of soldiers ended up in this cavern," stated James Dixon. In his public presentation, he cites how their initial survey revealed a large amount of human fecal matter in the cavern, as well as the what appeared to be an attempt to track time on a wall, indicating that at least a portion of the soldiers were alive when they entered the cavern. A number of the corpses appeared to have been buried, whereas others were seemingly left where they lay. Morticians from Bisim estimated that the first individuals to die passed on as long as a month before the last.

"We then brought in geological experts to analyze the cavern. Our men and women concluded that the cavern was the result of a sinkhole that formed around the same time as the soldiers died."

With this in mind, Dixon's theory surrounding the five-company large unit's demise is thus: while marching, the combined weight of the unit surpassed the load limit of the wet surface, causing the land to slide out from under their feet, leaving them to fall into a growing sinkhole. The men were trapped in by the moving surface, which left them with a small amount of air and light. The archeologists' analysis of the bodies indicates the majority of the men were injured with broken bones and head contusions.

Their analysis also indicated something more grim. Several of the bodies that had been left unburied featured advanced decay that would be unusual for a corpse of such an age. Forensic lab analysis revealed human teeth marks on many of the bones of these soldiers. It is likely that the soldiers who survived the longest did so by cannibalizing their companions.

Bisi Archeological Survey also partnered with the Asian Archeological and Anthropological Institute to recover 393 pieces of Type 99 Arisaka Rifles, 10 pieces of 320 mm Type 98 mortars, 40 pieces of Type 30 Arisaka Carbines, 17 pieces of Type 94 8mm Nambu Pistols, dozens of crates of ammunition, and 50 Imperial Japanese Army standard-issue stick-grenades. The unit is believed to have been a detachment of the 17th Imperial Japanese Army Light Infantry Battalion, which is recorded to have lost exactly 512 men on February 18th, 1948 in Dalian under mysterious circumstances. Army records at the time hypothesized mass desertion, which was unusual for the Imperial Japanese Army at that time, as there was a general spirit of high morale for the Empire in that year.

67 of the bodies recovered were identified by DNA tests to have descendants living in the Pan-Asiatic States, and their bodies were promptly returned to their families for proper burial. 201 of the bodies were identified by their dog tags, DNA tests, and army records, but authorities failed to find any surviving relatives who could claim the bodies as most of them had likely perished in the war itself, particularly during the Soviet invasion of Japan, and atomic bombing of its capital city, Tokyo. The rest of the bodies found during the excavation were too damaged by natural causes for them to be traced to their living relatives, if they had any.

John Dixon and his team were sponsored equipment by the Ministry of Culture, and were subsidized over 30,000 NSD for their invaluable forensic expertise. The Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Culture is also considering nominating John Dixon for Federal recognition in the name of historical preservation, and some believe that he should be credited with the People's Federation Friendship Award, the highest order of recognition for foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the Pan-Asiatic States' economic and social progress.

A heated debate among Asians surmounts what should to be done about the bodies which could not be traced to nor claimed by its family members. While the Mayor of Dalian, Ho Xuan Yong, expressed in an interview that he was looking into the construction of a museum to preserve the fallen soldiers, others instead believe that they belong in one of the Pan-Asiatic States' already-existing national museums, such as the Greater East Asian War Memorial in Neo-Manila.

Others, on the other hand, such as Japanese District Assembly Congressman Sawachika Hitoshi, disagree with both options and instead advocate that the remains be enshrined properly along with the remains of other Imperial Japanese Soldiers who have fallen in the Second and Third Pacific Wars. However, opposition to this idea was fierce in the early 90s, in the fear that such a site would become a site of reverence by Neo-Nazis, Japanese Neo-Nationalists, and Neo-Imperialists.

Controversy also surmounts the fact that the ultimate decision on the matter will be put into the hands of the Chinese District Assembly, as the remains were found on their soil. Several Congressmen of the Japanese District Assembly have expressed points of greviance towards this issue, and several student-organized protests in Fukuoka are scheduled to take place between September 21st and September 30th as the state de facto embarks on an "Autonomous Enculturation Campaign".

On social media, leading activists have also called for student walkouts across the country, although many speculate that the movement is not large enough to suffice such an ambitious demand.

Pan-Asiatic States Aids New Ulysses Campaign For Peace and Prosperity
Caixin Global
September 19th, 2019

NEW GETTYSBURG, New Ulysses—On September the 2nd, the Ulysses Congress approved the consolidation of the Federal Republic's military forces in its Central East Sphere region, and the deployment of new units to act as garrisons in the Far East Sphere. This was part of an agenda spearheaded by the country's leader, President Jill Kavanagh, who declared that "[it is in] ... the interest of Ulysses and the world at large to protect the oil-rich "Gold Farms" of the Jomiyan Kingdom [an allied territory of New Ulysses], safeguarding the prosperity of the Huhn waterway area and the oversight of civilian shipping and fishing in the Bauzan Sea."

New Ulysses' increased military presence in its allied states, in conjunction to its development of its own natural resources is part of the President's new endeavor which he has coined as the "Campaign For Peace and Prosperity", a campaign endeavored in the shadow of Jomiya's permission for the Federal Republic of New Ulysses to invest in its oil reserves. The massive infrastructure and military consolidation program was intended to bolster the nation's economic capacity, secure job opportunities for its citizens, provide an umbrella of civil safety, and encourage foreign investment. The President also stated on the 2nd that "[they] are promoting free trade agreements (FTA) in this peaceful region. Any nation is free to sign off on this agreement."

This morning, the Secretary-General of the People's Federation of Pan-Asiatic States, Guanyu "Abra" Abramovich y Florante Jr., speaking on behalf of the Pan-Asiatic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PAMFA) announced a renewed state of economic cordiality between New Ulysses and the Pan-Asiatic States. The Secretary-General expressed his full support for the President's campaign, and recounted how New Ulysses' vital monopoly over the oil-rich "Gold Farms" of the Jomiyan Kingdom had come into the limelight of the Pan-Asiatic States' State Development Directorate (SDD). The Secretary-General announced that over 50 manufacturing and industrial state-standard firms from the Pan-Asiatic States have expressed interests in expanding their services and capital to the country, many of which from the heavy industry sector, which wanted fair market share partitions over the newly-discovered reserve.

This afternoon, the Trade and Industry Commission of the People's Federation presented a finalized agreement with New Ulysses, wherein the Pan-Asiatic States would invest 68 million NSD to the development of New Ulysses' infrastructure, including but not limited to bridges, roads, apartments, and government buildings. The Commission's Minister, Cai Jiang stated that he "would like [his Commission and Pan-Asiatic States' State Development Directorate] to particularly focus on renovating public infrastructure and transportation".

The Commission also hoped that New Ulysses could relieve tariffs on any Pan-Asiatic goods that are exported to its nation, and perhaps even subsidize Pan-Asiatic exports to a certain extent, a request that he personally conferred with New Ulysses' authorities on, claiming that they expressed interest in extending free trade agreements to the Pan-Asiatic States.

New Ulysses (NU) President Jill Kavanagh unveiled in a press briefing from New Gettysburg mere minutes later that he and New Ulysses Trade Secretary Anna Kennedy and the rest of the NU delegation would hold high-level trade talks with the People's Federation of Pan-Asiatic States in Neo-Manila. The government affirmed that it would sign off on any free trade agreement (FTA) deals. In exchange for the 68 million NSD development plan, they would eliminate 100% of import duty on steel, aluminium, coal, brown coal and live cattle coming from the Pan-Asiatic States.

The talks, an official state-visit from the Federal Republic of New Ulysses, are scheduled to take place next week, on Monday, September 23rd, 2019 at the New Society Summit Plaza, in Neo-Manila's Laurel District.
