Actually... I have a couple friends who'd love to go grab a couple PKMs from Karachi, a Damen 1102 interceptor, and some body armor and go harass the Iranians... hell, didn't Trump name the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp a Foreign terrorist group? If memory serves me correctly, it's open season on them... :P

Though with the 2A and gun rights, it would be a very interesting thing to see the govt. start issuing letters of Marque and Reprisal to subsidize the PMC scene.

I totally don't want to start a privateering group and start harassing North Korean and Iranian shipping

Sadly, there actually is a legal precedent for that...

It involved Americans assisting the Canadian revolution of 1837.

THE PATRIOT WAR

NEVER.

FORGET.

But the actual treaty
So declaring war on Canada is a misdemeanour.

Maximum of 3 years in prison.

If we're at war... sure... go nuts.

That's a presidential thing, actually.

So go ask Trump to allow you to haz a cannon.

BATF won't be able to stop you if you've got a letter from Trump to arm your fishing-boat to the gills.

I bet he'd say yes. If only I had access to more than a kayak.

It depends on if you're thinking with port-holes.

A 21" torpedo-tube would make for a decent keel.

Explosive ramming-prow (detachable)
Twin outboard-motors (contra-rotating to prevent rollover).
???
PROFIT!!!

...

meh, may as well add a JATO bottle and a pair of stub-wings.
(tbh, I've discussed scaling this idea up to using an SSBN with rockets so it can become its own cruise-missile firing SLBM-sized submunitions en-route)

I think the 40mm Bofors, 20mm Oerlikons, and more .50 cals than you can shake a stick at have that covered.

While reading what is formatted as a "Letter to the Editor" type post. An Immigrant’s View of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and thinking to myself while it speaks loudly that immigrants get the idea behind the enumeration of a 2nd Amendment vs natural born citizens of this country who are clueless and or rightly reject said enumeration, I continued on to the comments and this struck me as odd.

So I guess to those of you that are married have you ran into this issue or know of someone who has? Maybe I lucked out in the 'ol lady lottery in as much that even though she wouldn't want me to buy something and I went ahead and still bought it, she got over it real quick, but as far as I can remember she has never ever forbid me to buy something.
I can probably count on one hand where I have known someone where their spouse forbid them to buy a firearm/motorcycle/bow, etc.
Either way you look it, this too is a form of gun control.

In my case that's simply grounds for not getting married in the first place. Flat-out nope'd my loins right out of that deal to spare the issue of divorce when I go and purchase a multi-thousand dollar rifle.

I hear ya on that.
I guess I'm just confused in how a spouse would even think they can tell the other what they can and cannot buy, one isn't the boss of the other and vice versa.

I can probably count on one hand where I have known someone where their spouse forbid them to buy a firearm/motorcycle/bow, etc.
Either way you look it, this too is a form of gun control.

This is why you take any potential wives shooting.

If I ever manage to get a girlfriend, one of the first things I'm going to tell her is that I like guns.

My ol lady can shoot and is a natural at shooting, she just isn't all that into it which is a shame. She also believes in the right to keep and bear arms, so I got that going for me, probably which is why she doesn't care one way or another when I buy firearms, all I get is the famous eye roll.
Then again, I get the same eye roll when I buy a new table saw or power miter saw, etc.

Home renovations are a great excuse to buy new tools you'll only need once or twice. I hope I can find a girlfriend who believes in the Second Amendment.
