I don't really see the point of ketchup given that pizza already has tomato sauce.
I know some people who like ranch on their pizza, which at least makes more sense. I'm not a huge fan of ranch due to its consistency, but the flavor is nice, so I can see why it would taste good on pizza.

I don't really see the point of gravy seeing as the meal already has turkey/pork/beef/chicken.
To clarify, if your pizza sauce tastes like ketchup, you're using a poorly-made sauce. They may both be tomato-based, but they have very different flavors.
That said, ketchup is all wrong for a pizza, flavor-wise.

My mother makes terrible pizza. Filo pastry base, tomato ketchup sauce, cheddar and only cheddar for the cheese.
If you thought that was good pizza then she really must have fucked your brains out before you ate it....

I mean, I hate gravy too, so you're not making a very good case for yourself there.

•The bread is crisp, very thin, and you can tell it has been baked in a wood oven. One of the ones where you can slide it in, and the bottom comes out all charcoaled.
•The sauce is not clumpy or grainy. It is very smooth and it's as if it wasn't cooked and hardened. It must be sweet and acidic, that is by far the most important part of the sauce.
•There shouldn't have to be much cheese if the sauce is good. The way the cheese is integrated depends on how well and in what style you are making your pizza. It shouldn't be greasy, although browning is good.(Image)
So how do you folks like your pizza?
