During the Cold War, which side was your nation predominantly on? Iceland was a NATO member since its founding in 1949 til it collapsed in 2014
If you changed sides during the Cold War, please state who you were previously allied with:
If you were on the side of the West, were you a member of NATO? Yes
If you were on the side of the East, were you a member of the Warsaw Pact?
If you were neutral, did you lean more towards the West or the East?
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side? Nope

During the Cold War, which side was your nation predominantly on? We were at war with both sides.
If you changed sides during the Cold War, please state who you were previously allied with: We didn't.
If you were on the side of the West, were you a member of NATO? N/A
If you were on the side of the East, were you a member of the Warsaw Pact? N/A
If you were neutral, did you lean more towards the West or the East? We nuked D.C., New York, London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, and the entire state of Florida, but we only nuked two Warsaw Pact cities, Warsaw itself and Moscow, so I guess we were mildly Soviet-leaning.
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side? Yes, but they were all killed by nukes from the sides they themselves supported.

During the Cold War, which side was your nation predominantly on? None
If you changed sides during the Cold War, please state who you were previously allied with: None
If you were on the side of the West, were you a member of NATO? No
If you were on the side of the East, were you a member of the Warsaw Pact? No
If you were neutral, did you lean more towards the West or the East? Neither
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side? Due to the territory being in a strategic location in the Atlantic there were many attempts at taking the island by force. All attempts were met with failure and aircraft carriers being placed near enemy shores. There were only 17 civilians killed during raids, 14 of which attempted a bayonet charge at an amphibious APC.

Hi, it's been a while. If you're seeing this then it means what I'm working on is not quite done yet. You can still read my old stuff but it's probably not canon anymore. I'll try to get something up soon. It may or may not involve wizards.

During the cold war, the Vikross region of the former German empire and Nazi German Reich fought for independence from the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union annexed half of Germany following the end of WWII and implemented ruthless rule among its people. The Vikross held strong nationalistic and patriotic values and customs and was quick to rebel against the Soviet Union.

Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side? Vedastia was on the whole close to the West, but there were some members of the Social Democratic Party who wanted Vedastia to form a closer partnership with the East, which was one reason that the Social Democrats were never able to form a government from Vedastian independence from Sbemailzille in 1963 until the end of the Cold War.

During the Cold War, which side was your nation predominantly on?
Up until 1962, Saciu was incredibly isolated, and took a neutral stance. Following Tirono II's coronation, reform of the nation began. While most of the focused on the plethora of internal problems, allegiance was plegded to the West, and famously airdropped weapons to Czechoslovakia to help defend itself in the Prague Spring, setting Saciu back a few years in terms of development.
If you changed sides during the Cold War, please state who you were previously allied with:
Before 1962, while no sides were taken, the economic system would have shifted it towards the West.
If you were on the side of the West, were you a member of NATO?
No - Saciu wanted to avoid international coalitions for as long as possible.
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side?
On July 10 1955, Soviet troops launched an invasion, which quickly resulted in the Soviets fleeing and an intense hatred for communism.

If you were neutral, did you lean more towards the West or the East? The Achaean Republic was mostly aligned with the east after the end of a major dictatorship that precluded involvement during WWII (1938-1945), but many political parties at the time such as the Communist Party of Achaea (PCA), the Radical Party (PRD) and the Allendista Party (Partido Allendista) were formed with sympathizers and refugees of Communist regimes. In fact, one president during the 80's, Teodoro Stevanović, is of Serb/Yugoslav descent, which allowed the country improved relations with Yugoslavia before, during, and after the collapse.
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side? Maoist guerillas allied with Chinese/Albanian/Yugoslav interference were detected, but most were disbanded in the late 90's as economic progress became a boon.

During the Cold War, which side was your nation predominantly on? We were initially independent being our own super power and all and had no desire to compete for an ideology, we had our goals achieved and were more than sure of our ability to spread it directly when the time came. However incompetency, along with rising tension within the citizenry to either side resulted in a massive proxy battle for Rome which resulted in the country splitting into civil war for either side. It could have very well sparked WW3.
If you changed sides during the Cold War, please state who you were previously allied with: N/A
If you were on the side of the West, were you a member of NATO? Rome did not formally join NATO, even after the Traditionalist won.
If you were on the side of the East, were you a member of the Warsaw Pact? The Communist bloc lost the war, and thus could not push Rome into the Warsaw Pact.
If you were neutral, did you lean more towards the West or the East? Before the civil war, Rome leaned west if only because Romans had a more positive opinion of Americans than Russians. This became full on support after the war as socialist and communist politics nearly ripped the country apart.
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side? Various senators, Consuls, and groups with communist sympathies and allegiances sparked a civil war in Rome in an attempt to side with the Russians. Only thing stopping the Russians from publicly sending forces was that it would be seen as a severe escalation and the Americans would do the same.

During the Cold War, which side was your nation predominantly on? We hadn't been founded but our founders in 2012 came from the towns and cities of USA, UK and Taiwan.
If you changed sides during the Cold War, please state who you were previously allied with: Ilovebenderdotcomland at your service, est 2012.
If you were on the side of the West, were you a member of NATO? our founders were, so we joined NATO since we're 'somehow' in the Caribbean sea that stretches to the Pacific North West... And there's this huge uncharted area of this mostly tropical continent sized island that it was argued there must be the Atlantic ocean out there somewhere, so, we joined NATO based on science.
If you were on the side of the East, were you a member of the Warsaw Pact?
Taiwanese weren't but those Communists in China joined and said our founders did.
If you were neutral, did you lean more towards the West or the East? West.
Were there movements that attempted to sway your nation towards one side?
Didn't exist then. This was before the Earth spewed up Ilovebenderdotcomland and made this mostly tropical continent sized island.
