Name: Daniel McHarris, aka Spectre
Age: 26
Gender: M
Race: Human
Appearance: Sirputdownthegun
Young Blood?: OR
Bio: Daniel Harris was born and raised an only child to two wealthy resteraunt moguls. As such, he could have anything he wanted at any time. His parents were doting, if not hovering at times, but he was never in trouble. With a gesture he could buy and move mountains, and with a grin he could have anyone on their knees.

Due to this lavish upbringing, he did everything he could to cure the boredom that comes with having everything. He partied for days, sold contraband to students and teachers alike, and generally raised hell. His powers ensured he was never caught, and his money ensured that it didn't matter if he was. However, nothing could satiate his discontent for long.

One day all of that changed. He had the experience of his life and needed more. You see, the equivalent of a small army had held his college in lockdown to hold the students hostage, Daniel suddenly disappeared. Threats were made, a search was sent out, and the president's niece (a friend of his) was held at gunpoint. Still, Daniel did not appear.

However, the army began dwindling little by little. Some were rendered unconscious with blunt objects, others shot with arrows from an unknown assailant, and still more taken down by the gun of an ally. The militaristic mercenaries were thrown into disarray. They couldn't find Daniel with heat tracking, on camera, or even by the sounds of his attacks until it was too late. Some shot wildly. 2 hit, but not lethally, and Daniel recieved his first experience with true risk. His adrenaline was pumping, and he was named the school's savior under a pseudonym.

That was the beggining of his career as a vigilante. He kept his connections, both good and bad, and continued his smuggling of contraband, but the true thrill was in heroics. He'd walk into bank robberies in broad daylight, slide past firefighters to save kids from buildings, and end hostage situations by the dozen. He didn't need a costume, because no one could see him. This somehow made it better. Police would try to stop him and he was faced with double the odds, which only fueled his adrenaline. The hero "Spectre" was born, to some nothing more than a menace. He didn't care how people saw his persona however, and lived life on the edge alone.

Eventually, he ran into the OR, joining them to tackle bigger problems. The risk of having other people just made the fire in his heart larger, and his teammates were counted amongst his greatest friends. Hero he was not, but Spectre sure loved doing good outside of the law.
Powers:
  • [Meager existence]: At will, he can make himself and anyone or anything within a 10 foot radius be fully overlooked. It wasn't invisibility, as you could still see him in a way. However, your brain would not acknowledge his presence or the presence of those he chose within his area. Physical contact would break this however.
  • [I'm rich]: He has connections up the ass and more money than he could ever spend.

Limitations:
  • Physical contact nullifies his abilities
  • He can only use hide the presence of people within 10 feet of him, and not half an inch more.

Weaknesses :
  • [Unseen, not bulletproof]: Literally anything that can kill a human can kill him. A stray bullet or fireball ends his life as easily as your normal pedestrian.
  • [Not Graceful]: Due to getting shot in the knee when saving his school, he is less acrobatic than your normal athlete.
  • [I see right through you]:If you know he's around and know of his powers, you can notice him. Nort fully, but you'll know his general whereabouts and that he is there.

Likes: Adrenaline rushes, people who treat him like a normal person, people who absolutely ignore him.
Dislikes: Suck ups, Boredom, tequila

Additional Information -
Birthday: October 22nd
Theme song: Partytime
Favorite food: Medium Rare T-Bone steaks with a side of A1 steak sauce and a red wine dressing.
Greatest fear: His parents death

Name: Hannah Jefferies
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible):Hannah
Young Blood?: No
Bio: The granddaughter of famed vigilante Knockout, Hannah Jefferies has been the face of the female boxing world for the last 8 years. She grew up with an intense love for fighting, often getting in trouble at school before her grandfather offered an outlet for her aggression. The young girl fell in love with the sport of boxing, and trained day and night in her family gym. By 14 Hannah was competing nationally at the varsity level and at 19 she won an Olympic gold medal for the US, one of the youngest gold medal winners in history. By 23 not only had she won another gold medal but she was the undefeated light heavyweight champion of the WBO. However two years later her life took a nasty turn. She was visiting her troubled brother in prison when suddenly something bizarre happened the building was filled with flashes of light. As prisoners rioted and broke out of the prison Hannah was escorted out by the police despite her protests and desire to protect her brother. Her brother turned out fine and everything seemed normal until a few days later when Hannah was training in her gym. While hitting a punching bag Hannah suddenly smashed the bag to pieces, hitting it all the way across the gym.

The media had a frenzy over the event, the video of it received over a hundred million views on Youtube. Hannah spent the next week visiting doctors and specialists to figure what was happening but before she could she received devastating news. The WBO accused Hannah of developing superpowers and in the name of other's safeties banned her from fighting and stripped her of her title.

Hannah went into an emotional tailspin, she felt betrayed by the sport she loved, and hated that she could no longer control her own body. One day however she was cleaning out her father's garage(after friends and family insisted she got out of the house) and found old newspapers highlighting the work of her grandfather, the vigilante known as knockout. Hannah realized that if society was going to cast her out as dangerous, she should use her powers to prove them wrong. She has spent the last week or so figuring out how to be a vigilante as well as how to control her powers.
Powers:
  • Combo: Hannah's punches, kicks, and other physical attacks get stronger as she continues to strike a target without interruption. Like a combo mechanism in a video game if she gets to a high enough number she can strike with devastating force.
  • [Heightened Reflexes]: Hannah has super human reflexes that boarder on precognitive. Her boxer training plus her new abilities make her very difficult to hit in a fight.
  • [World Class Boxer]: Before the accident Hannah was the best female boxer in the world, and her strength and skill boarder's on peak human.

Limitations:
  • Build up- Combo increases very gradually, meaning she can't punch through a wall after two hits
  • No range- Her ability only works for melee attacks, it is inapplicable for ranged attacks. Which means even if she uses her power to throw something that's where the combo ends.

Weaknesses:
  • Interruption: If she is hit by anything, her combo ends
  • Time: The combo can't last forever, if enough time passes she losses it
  • Human: Bullets, knives, etc, she is only human(despite what the WBO may think)

Likes: Boxing, competition, art
Dislikes: Losing, crime, excuses,

Additional Information (Optional; remove if unused)-
Birthday: June 8th
Theme song: ROCKY!!!
Favorite food: Sushi
Greatest fear: Losing

Non-Human Playable Races

I am interested in creating a Ma'gar, but wasn't sure where to look to find out more about the race so that I could create an approptiate backstory for said character.

There isn't much outside the OP at the moment, but since I created them feel free to ask me questions and I'll see if I can help.

Thanks, have a few questions.

What kind of life span do they have? They seem to have some similarities to the Martains from the DC universe, "...green psionic, shapeshifting species..." so I was wondering if they have the same extended life span or any of the other racial qualities/abilities.

Could I possibly get more details on what the psionic and shapeshifting abilities would entail, such as strengths and limitations? Additionally are there any other important "Racial Powers/Weaknesses/Limitations" the Ma'gar have?

As this character is an alien, would I be allowed to give this character a superpower outside of the natural racial powers (psionic and shapeshifting)?
The power concept
He has an fear based empathic manipuation aura, the ability currently only activates subconciously when he is threatened or frightened.

I have a rough draft of the basic plot points for the characters backstory for why he is on earth;
Based on the life span of the Ma'gar, I'm going with the backstory that my character OR characters family/lineage has been in hiding on Earth for insert vague time span (thinking centuries). During WWII him/his family lived thru the prosecution of Nazi Germany and was discovered, and subsequently captured, by the Nazi's. He/his family was experimented on, and was eventually freed at the end of WWIi. Using his/their natural shapeshifting capabilities he/they went back into hiding.

If the Ma'gar have long life spans, he will takes on a new human alias every 60-70 years. My character, hoping to live openly within the world takes on the form of a 17 y.o human male and enrolls into the school.

If Ma'gar have normal or slightly extended beyond human life spans he will be enrolled in the school because while his parents know what it feels like to be persecuted for being an alien they are hopeful for their son to live openly in the world.

They would have an extended lifespan yes.

As for details on the powers, feel free to fill in those specific blanks yourself. I’d say that unlike martians they shouldn’t all be psionic and shapeshifting. Rather the specific abilities should depend on the Ma’gar in question.

Alrighty, thanks. Is there any major limitations on the extended average lifespan? 200, 300, 500, 1000 years?

What kind of physiology does the race have? I.E. Do they have average human physicals (strength, durability, speed ect) or do they have peak or even superhuman physicals?

Name: T'ranik H'onzz (Nik Honz)
Age: Appears as a 17 y.o male (133 y.o)
Gender: Male
Race: Ma'gar

Young Blood?: Y
[Bio]:
M'ol H'onzz and Myh H'onzz, were refugees running from the Greys, who found and landed on Earth in the northern shores of Poland sometime between 1870 and 1880. After settling on the dirt ball known as Earth the two gave birth to T'ranik H'onzz on April 20th, 1886. T'ranik was raised in a pre-WWI Poland, learning Polish, German, and Russian languages the H'onzz family took on the appearance of a Jewish family. Later during the WWI, T'ranik and his family stayed as far away from the war as they could retreating into the wilderness and living amongst the animals for the duration of the War. It was during this time that T'ranik adopted the habit of watching humans while in the form of the local fauna. A couple years after WWI the H'onzz family moved back to a War torn Poland, after resettling M'ol and T'ranik open a father/son fishing buisness. Twenty, mostly, uneventful years later the culmination of rising tensions in the surrounding countries WWII breaks out and Poland is hit and during this assualt the H'onzz family attempted to escape Nazi Germany. Not knowing about the Nazi's experimentation with the new found "Superhero", the H'onzz family was ill-prepared for what they would encounter. Three months into their attempted escape via the Polish Wilderness the family was captured and taken to Concentration Camps.

After being sorted and seperated, it was T'ranik that accidentily revealed that he had "super powers" when he was caught shapeshifting to appear as various German Soldiers and Jewish Prisoners. Not wanting to give up the true identity of his family, T'ranik lied and said that his parents where humans and that only he had this ability. With the rarity of super powers at the time, no one questioned this. T'ranik spent six years being transferred to different labs, experimented on. This is where T'ranik's subconsious psionic abilities manifested, after years of being cut open, closed up, beaten, mentally and physically abused, T'ranik developed an ability to passively manipulate the emotions of those within his immediate vacinity. Nearing the end of WWII the lead Nazi Scientist that oversee's T'ranik's experiments discovered that T'ranik is not a superhuman but infact an Alien. After the defeat of Nazi Germany, T'ranik was freed and was given free passage to the United States of America. Soon after arriving in NY T'ranik used his shapeshifting to escape and hide amongst the massive populace in search of his parents.

During the following twenty years, T'ranik had discovered that his Mother had died in a concentration camp and that his father had survived and was living in Florida. Spending the last remaining decades of his fathers life, T'ranik moved to Florida and took up a job as a zoo keeper. In 1972, T'ranik saw the signing of the Super Human Volunteer Act and in 1979 the subsequent Super Human Rights Act signed into law. During these years T'ranik travelled the country leading many peace protests against the Vietnam War and equal rights for all. After the Super Human Rights Act was enacted, T'ranik, went to college and in 1981 he met a human female that he had grown affectionate towards. Courting her, for two years, he eventually revealed his true nature to her but his form was more than what a human could truely love, even in these times of so-called enlightenment. But in respect for his privacy the ex-lover promissed to never reveal his true nature. Refocusing on his studies T'ranik spent the following five years becoming a Lawyer specializing in Super Human Rights.

From 1983-2000 T'ranik posed as a lawyer for many Supers and aliens that hid among the populace, just as he did. On October 6, 2000 an Hadrian scout ship arrives on Earth, T'ranik immediately dropped what he was doing and made his way to Montana to witness an event that would radically change the fundamental point of view on life beyond earth. Closely following the subsequent events, T'ranik was there to witness the signing of the Treaty of New Horizons. After the treaty was signed into law T'ranik decided to keep the truth of him being a alien to himself due to the ignorance of the fearful.

Spending the following 15 years as a Lawyer defending Super Human and Alien rights, T'ranik retired in 2015 and faked his death in 2018, taking on a form of a young male student so that he can continue to live hidden among the humans... this is where his story of Nik Honz begins.:

Racial Powers:
  • [Shapeshifting]: Ma'gar are capable of altering their physical form, on a cellular level, to blend into any and all enviorments they find themselves in, it is very useful for integrating into any alien society by mimicing the apperance of other species. Additionally this can aid in granting the Ma'gar different forms of movement, such as flight, altering their volume(stature) or density, altering the chemical composition of their bodies, adapting to their environment, etc.
  • [Malleability]: (Sub-power to Shapeshifting) Ma'gar can bend, elongate and stretch their body and limbs at will. This allows them to create body natural weapons.
  • [Psionic Manifestation]: Many, though not all, Ma'gar have some sort of Psionic manifestation. (See Powers)
  • [Longevity]: Ma'gar can live for many centuries before reaching old age.

Racial Power Limitations (Reasons why your char can’t end the universe):
  • [Limited Shapeshifting]: Living most of his life hiding his true identity, T'ranik has a very limited imagination on what he can actually shapeshift into, mostly limited to mimicing humans and taking on the shape of various small woodland animals.
  • [Psionic Manifestation]: Many Ma'gar never manifest psionic abilities above minor mental powers. Due to this only a very few rare members of the race, at its peak, had manifested major psionic abilities.

Powers:
  • [Empathic Manipulation (Fear)]: T'ranik has an fear based empathic manipuation aura, the ability currently only activates subconciously when he is threatened or frightened.

Limitations (Reasons why your char can’t end the universe):
  • [Psionic Manifestation unknown]: Currently T'ranik believes he has no psionic abilities manifested, so only in situations where he feels as if his life is threatened the aura activates subconciously. The aura is only a 50 ft radius, but will also affect friend as much as foe.
  • [Very timid]: Will never instigate a confrontation, T'ranik has been the guinea pig of Nazi scientist during WWII and is mentally scarred by the events.
  • [Loves Humanity as a whole]: While T'ranik has seen the pits of dispair and true evil nature of humans, T'ranik has also seen the depths of love and compassion strangers can have for one another.

Weaknesses (Reasons why someone could kick their ass):
  • [Fearful]: Afraid of being persecuted for being an alien, and being experimented on again, T'ranik swore to never use his powers infront of humans and to stay hidden away.
  • [Fear Aura]: The subconcious manifestation of the aura of fear affects not only his foe's but all that are within the aura, including friends.
  • [Weird Science]: Due to his time in the Nazi labs, T'ranik is deeply fearful of all scientists and labs.

Likes: When away from peers: Continuing his study of modern laws, Shifting into a bird or other discreet critter and watching humans.
When with his peers: He absolutely loves the deliciousness of pizza, hanging and partying with his human friends, and comic books.
Dislikes: Labs, Scientists, Nazi's, Nazi Scientists, fighting, inequality, injustice.

Additional Information (Optional; remove if unused)-
Birthday: April 20th, 1886
Theme song: The sounds of nature (Don't have one currently)
Favorite food: Pizza
Greatest fear: Scientists experimenting on him again

Villains?

Postby High Buzz » Sat May 18, 2019 12:22 pm

Question, are we able to create and play villains or is that only for the mods/GM? I have a character concept for a villain that uses time manipulation with the drawback/weakness, that he forgets/loses his memories the more he uses his abilities.

We can make villain characters, but I feel like time manipulation would be too game breaking unless severely limited.

What was Earl Grey's limitations - didn't that guy's stopwatch give him some limited time manip.? Could use those as a bit of a baseline to try and balance stuff :)

[Pocket Watch]: Earl Grey's most prized possession is his pocket watch, passed down from his father, who passed it down from his father, and so forth. Truly ahead of its time, its archaic design hides a technologically advanced secret: the pocket watch is capable of stopping time. For a maximum of ten seconds (in frozen time seconds), Earl Grey (or anyone else who touches the stopwatch) will be allowed to roam about freely when time is stopped, either to evade incoming attacks, sneak up on targets, or strike them without them knowing. The stop watch must recharge after each use, however.

It has a very specific time limit and a requirement to recharge with each use (Grey could only use it once every minute or so), and it was also equipment rather than a superpower.

Accepted, great app Buzz.

Do you have Discord? We have an invite to the roleplay's server in the OP, if you want to join and discuss your ideas in real time.

As for your question about villains, yes, you can apply a villain. As some people have said, time manipulation powers are tricky, so if you could elaborate on the character's exact powers, limitations and weaknesses that would be great.

Absolutely, I'll join the Discord soon as I get home. Grabbin dinner atm. And I have some ideas, very willing to work with others on the build. Timey-wimey powers are my favorite super power in fiction.

Sounds good, I'll be waiting to hear those ideas :)
