I am being fair. I am giving you the opportunity to bring evidence tested to the exact same rigours as that which I am providing.

Scientific journals print things that are suggested to a reasonable preponderance of scientific evidence and government data must report fact. If anti-vaxxer stuff isn't put into journals and anti-vaxxer theories aren't found on government websites, that doesn't suggest "bias", it screams that anti-vaxxers have no evidence to support their opinion.

Just gonna point out that measels for an adult can lead to meningitis, which is pretty much garanteed to cause significant brain damage.

Or... one can vaccinate and... not have parts of your brain swell up and pop like a water-balloon due to a highly infectious disease.
-Plus, now that it's back in circulation, mumps and measels are now starting to mutate at a rate similar to the flu... making existing vaccines less useful over time... congrats for the carriers of the disease now incubating the next superbug.

I find it quite strange these universities allowed students to sign up for classes despite lacking vaccinations. My university actually required I get all my vaccines updated as well as get tested for a few others. While it was a bit of a pain to deal with, I have to admit I agree with the mindset and was happy to prove myself healthy. (Also had to get my vaccination paperwork updated to even sign up for classes.)


Now to aim a question at the anti-vaxxers here on this thread. The one biggest report frequently cited by anti-vaxxers is from a study in which the author, Andrew Wakefield, cooked the results. Naturally this was a scientific experiment which was published in a research journal... meaning the tests were supposed to be reproducable by others... problem is no one was able to do so... not even the OG Andrew Wakefield.

Eventually it was revealed that the scientist altered the medical histories of his subjects. This reveal led to the study to be retracted by the journal... I think rightfully so as the results were obviously skewed. No one was able to recreate the connection between autism and vaccines without cooking the variables. With this reveal the study was retracted by the journal, and Andrew Wakefield was kicked from his field. Despite this public retraction, and people's inability to recreate this experiment honestly, many anti-vaxxers continue to either cite this study or base their opinions on a possiblity of a "but what if he's right?"

This study could not be recreated by anyone... which tends to be part of the rigorous review process sciences finds itself under all the time. It's how we are able to learn, refine, and eventually come to a more complete conclusion.

Question is... why? Why disbelieve such a monumental failure of the scientific process? What kind of study would be required to bring everyone to a consensus?
