Indonesia Imperial Airline is the flag carrier of the Indonesian Empire of Yohannes. Indonesia Imperial's registered office and corporate headquarters is in Jakarta, Kingdom of Java, with its main operations base and primary traffic hub at Surabaya International Airport in Surabaya, with a second hub at Bali-Lombok International Airport. The majority of Indonesia Imperial's pilots, ground staff, and flight attendants are based in Jakarta.
The history of Indonesia Imperial Airlines intertwined with that of the nation of Yohannes and its creation as a United Federation of Kingdoms in 1987.
Indonesia Imperial Airlines' first flight began in 1987. The first aircraft was Dakota DC-3. By the end of 1990, Indonesia Imperial had 38 aircraft - 22 DC3s, eight Catalina seaplanes and eight Convair 240s. In 1993, the fleet grew to 46 with the addition of eight Convair 340s, and in 1954 fourteen De Havilland Herons were added. The Catalina flying boats were taken out of service in 1995.
