Yeah, true I should have really called them social policies, since the major ones all are economical.
The first one also is a sort of a conservative trade off (although I'm not sure it would be) as this would be one way of allowing the extra service and healthcare funding to go through.

The part that makes the first one hard isn't making the deal with Republicans so much as managing to get it through the state Senate. Making that kind of deal with at least some of the GOP could work for him, but he needs to get some of his own party on board to make it happen.

I think it actually is possible in New Mexico specifically in a way that it wouldn't be in most other states with a Dem majority in the leg, there's still a social conservative vein in the NM Dem that he might be able to breakaway a fraction of the party on. I think it's feasible, but just with the understanding that it would take a lot of political capital

Castile was represented by the Attorney General's office and in late 2016, the state announced that it had settled the case for $45,230 with no admission of wrongdoing. For the more political stuff, we'll get in touch with Peng to make sure that Ale would appoint him, obviously it's a pick across party lines and it is a little abrupt after service but its feasible. Weaknesses with the sueing and audit issues should be fleshed out more, those're the main part, nationalist isn't really a weakness, and another one to add might be good with his strengths

So, essientially he'd brake off a splinter group of socially conservative Democrats who are willing to fund healthcare and services in exchange for some socially conservative legislation (so basically Lite Republicans Aleravez can use to push through more funding).

Weaknesses with the sueing and audit issues should be fleshed out more, those're the main part, nationalist isn't really a weakness, and another one to add might be good with his strengths

Alvarez seems fairly bi-partisan i have confidence he'd do it, but I agree a bigger gap might be necessary maybe a year or two where he was a veterans advocate after service. As for nationalist in the current republican party its a strength
