It's actually not a Satanist thing, apparently this has the potential of happening whenever you Devour someone and become a crazed cannibal.

You more often inherit bad traits than good ones, but the chance at getting genius and other genetic traits makes it worth the risk.

Been playing with AGOT again recently. Decided to have a go as Aerys. Seems like the war always drags out a few years. Aerys got assassinated and Rhaegar became king. Robert died in battle, and Stannis became the new leader. It seems it always takes a while to gradually get the score up to win, since I never seem to be able to capture anyone important and whenever I have a big advantage with my troops, the enemy leader almost always leaves their army just before a battle. When I won, it was 5 years into the war. Two years later, and it seems Lyanna's still missing. I could've sworn last time I won as Aerys/Rhaegar (which was a few years ago, but still) I managed to get Lyanna back somehow.

“Balancing.”

The balancing act with the Satanists should be demands from Satan. For example, sacrificing a virtuous noble would be a good one, since it gives you the choice between angering both Satan and his cult or taking a severe tyranny penalty and angering your vassals.

Except Satanists have the option to kidnap people in secret, so they'd just do that instead of incurring the tyrant opinion modifier and not imprison them at all.

I was unaware of that ability, and I hereby rescind my suggestion (or add "also make it so that your satanist powers can't be used to cheese the missions".)

How did it take them this long to figure out that the ability to manually control what is and is not part of a sector would solve the vast majority of problems that people have with sectors?

Well, to be honest, in the beginning, you did have the ability to manually control what was and was not part of a sector. The problem was, adding a planet to a sector put its management entirely under the control of a terrible AI system. It was only good for hindering your empire, and hence why I've never used sectors, because I know I could manage the planets better, even if I have 50 of them at once (I just downloaded a mod that eliminated the max core sector cap to get around the arbitrary penalties they put in place before they came up with the admin cap system).

I will say, the build order system does sound like its infinitely better than the previous sector AI system, so I might actually give sectors a try when this update drops.

I don't really see much need to be able to tell courtiers to leave. You can always just marry them off which gets them to leave your court.

Just like I've been complaining about. The HRE as we know it formed in the 10th century so maybe an ACTUAL HRE rework is coming.

Betting on an Otto I 936 start date (he ascended to the German throne at that time, iirc) and an HRE rework DLC.

I started playing Stellaris because of the free weekend on Steam and like two months into the game I got got attacked by the Grey Disciples and it looks like their second fleet is about to fuck me up. Is this normal or am I particularly unlucky to have encountered them this early?

Its an eventline that can sometimes happen. If you rush their fleets early on it can be disastrous but they are not too difficult to take on if you prepare.
