I mean, Sanders' whole schtick was/is emphasizing a political "revolution" and those tend to destroy whatever came before it. So it's not all that unfair to characterize Sanders supporters as wanting to burn down the system.

When did Bernie advocate revolution?

Not the cool kind of revolution where we eat the rich and make a decimal calendar, the one where we vote someone in to shake up the system and fix problems.

Despite some of his flaws, he has an uncanny ability to be immensely likable/calming, especially in a town hall/interview format. He's a walking NPR podcast, and I'm not saying that as an insult.

Iirc he has one of the highest unfavorable:favorable ratios of any candidate, only behind Biden and with half his name recognition.

Between the two, Harris has a much better chance of remaining politically viable. Booker? Well, he's toast. New Jersey does not send their best.

I find it odd that you have Biden as your 1st pick with Warren and Bernie as your 2nd and 3rd. Policy-wise and record-wise, Biden is pretty much the opposite of Warren and Bernie among the Democrats running.

That's just not true. Choose any two Democrats at random, and 90+% of their policies will be the same.

Which, BTW, was also true last time around. For all of the ridiculous posturing around Hillary and Bernie somehow being polar opposites, over 90% of what each proposed doing was consistent or the same as what the other wanted as well. And in many cases where there were differences, they were differences in approach and not in objective (eg., Bernie's "tuition-free college" proposal vs. Hillary's "debt-free college" platform).

Are you absolutely fucking serious? Bernie is by no mean "the same" as the corporate centrists running the Democrats.

Except functionally, he is. He even said so. Especially when the choices come down to the two party's candidate.

Biden's not my first or third choice but ultimately it comes down to him just being white chocolate peanut butter cups. Not my favorite by a long shot but still a peanut butter cup, and I like peanut butter cups. I certainly like them a lot better than gizzards. It holds up, I'm not rewriting that...
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.
