The Velish Football Association in association with the government of the Crown Republic Velestria and the Ja’barilands do hereby present the bid for the 24th edition of the Campionato Esportiva.

Campionato Esportiva Hosting

Home of over sixty-six million people, Velestria, known officially as the Crown Federation of Velestria and Ja’barilands is a large isles where association football, lacrosse and quidditch reign supreme through the lands, however, recently basketball has begun to gain a noticeable claim as a niche sport through Velestria, through the Velish Basketball Federation, more commonly known as Velish Basketball, a formal bid is presented for latest edition of the IBC.

Basketball in Velestria has previously mentioned is a niche sport popular especially in the Ja’barilands amongst youth, it has seen growth in recent years however, teams or players originating from the Ja’barilands tend to dominate the scene of Velish basketball in the nation, in recent years, Velish Basketball has looked to establish a successor to the former basketball league of old, the Velish Basketball Association, currently Velish Basketball is committed to launching the Velish Basketball League with the hopes of great success in the post-IBC hosting years. Additionally, Pro12 exists in the Ja’barilands as a specific league for the region, however doesn’t exist on a national scale.

The user behind Velestria has gained recognition in NS Sport under the names of Kep and Razenthuria more recently, while under Velestria he has only scorinated his domestic leagues, the user has scorianted the Global Cup of Soccer 3 and an edition of the WJHC amongst others, notably also somewhat the main organizer of the yearly Quidditch World Cup.
While NS Sports has had a challenged relationship with the user behind Velestria in the past, he is committed to repairing his image on the forums and in recent times has shown an ability to move beyond frayed relations and continues to mend his relationship with members of NS Sports and repair his image. He thanks you for your time in reading this.

Scorination

For scorination, xkoranate 0.3.3 will be used, with most recent CE rankings. RP bonus will be generous, and by the short nature of the event, cumulative. Having used this setting for a while now with my domestic sportswire, I intend to use SJG’s SGIS formula which can be outlined here, in my opinion SGIS serves as a way to decrease that rather random scorination SQIS can at times spit out and is also a bit more forgiving to less-ranked nations than NSFS can be. To exemplify that, SJG ran tests using both NSFS, and SGIS which also showed major changes in relation to the factors of randomness and ranking. I intend to use this for CE 24.

Format

We’re at 14 at the posting of this host bid.
14: 2 groups of 7, top 4 in each group move onto knockout round
15: 3 groups of 5, top 2 in each group, 2 best 3rd-place teams move onto knockout round
16: 4 groups of 4, top 2 in each group move on to knockout round
20: 4 groups of 5, top 2 in each group move on to knockout round
24: 6 groups of 4, top 2 in each group, 4 best 3rd-place move on to knockout round
28: 7 groups of 4, top 2 in each group 2 best 3rd-place teams move on to knockout round
32: 8 groups of 4, top two in each ground move onto knockout round
To fix these numbers, puppets may be added or removed at the discretion of the hosts, following the rule of one declared puppet for each participating nation.
