An Invitation to the Nations of the Multiverse

Sporting World Magazine is a magazine renowned throughout the multiverse for our high quality coverage of the world of sports. Now, to showcase the future of soccer, we at Sporting World announce the opening of signups for the eighth edition of the Sporting World Cup, the tournament for the best soccer players 18 years of age or younger from throughout the multiverse.

The first 32 U18 National Teams to sign up in this thread by stating their intention to participate will gain entry into the tournament. We will permit one "puppet" entry per user, which must be declared and confirmed, but main nations will take priority over puppets. The format for the tournament will be identical to the format used for all 82 editions of the World Cup finals: The 32 teams will be split into 8 groups of 4 teams each and will play their group mates once. The top 2 teams in each group will advance to the knockout rounds, which will be single elimination with the exception of a third place match. Matches will be scorinated every 48 hours and this edition of the the tournament will be hosted by the Free Republics.
