July 12th, 2019: The United Nations Bureau Of Emergency Alert Systems is founded. This is due to the UN believing that with the effects of climate change, the public needs to be warned due to the increasingly deadly threat of severe weather. At this point, they were also planing an international emergency warning system.
October 14th, 2019: A team of Japanese, Australian, and French scientists discover an unknown entity in the South Pole. Experiments soon begin on what appears to be a giant, humanoid entity.
October 29th, 2019: The entity breaks free, causing a major explosion and resulting in the destruction of Antarctica. The explosion is massive enough to shift the axial tilt of the earth by 36.5°. This all results in a rapid change in sea level by around 80 meters/262 feet within 12 hours. Around 2.3 billion are killed in the rapid sea level rise. Those who escaped are now part of the largest refugee crisis in human history. Entire nations like the Netherlands, Bangladesh, and the Gambia are completely destroyed.

A major explosion within the continent of Antarctica has resulted in an axial shift event. Sea levels have significantly increased within the past 7 days. Death tolls are estimated at in excess of 2.3 billion.
Major refugee crisis is in progress globally. Estimates on refugee numbers are in excess of 450 million. Most nations are currently unable to deal with refugee numbers.
U.N. Scientists are predicting a major shift in climate, along with an acceleration in climate change. Major geological events are predicted. Persons near geologic areas are advised to prepare for potential geological activity.
Several nuclear power stations around the world have been flooded. Nuclear Meltdowns are predicted. Irradiated water is predicated to contaminate flood zones. Major water sources have been contaminated.
Contact has been made with 137 national governments. Other governments are presumed destroyed.
