Auction Logic

Postby Pinochetus » Wed Apr 24, 2019 2:21 pm

This just happened to me and it happens often and is a bit annoying

2 minutes ago: Wrapper asked for 11.00.
20 minutes ago: Pinochetus bid 11.00.
21 minutes ago: Gryphonian Alliance bid 10.10.
52 minutes ago: MinaFederal asked for 1.00.

If I am matched with the 1.00 ask, and then someone asks 11.00, why should I be shifted from the 1.00 to the 11.00 when my bid was already sitting on the 1.00? Why would my bid shift to a different ask? Are there any plans to change this bit of the auction logic, or is it here for good?

When placing a bid your saying I'm willing to pay up to this amount

While I understand how annoying it can be to be "dropped".

But having it so you can lock in on a bid allows you to underbid the first guy anyway
