International Democratic Region has a fairly keen WA community (with over 10% of the passed GA resolutions so far having been written by our members, and with 3 of the 6 GenSec members as residents...), and hopefully isn't too large for you.

Hello!

I am new to NationStates and looking for a good role-playing region, or just other nations willing to RP. I have already written quite a bit about the background of my country in factbooks so to briefly summarise I am looking for:

• Active role-playing. Preferably either onsite through RMB or telegrams. Discord also works for me. No off-side message boards though, sorry.
• Regions set in the current day
• Regions set in the real world (i.e. Set on planet Earth, fairly realistic history that keeps reasonably in line with 19th-20th century. Of course some deviation is perfectly fine just nothing too outlandish.)
• No requirement to join the WA (Sorry I just detest it with a passion lol)

I know what I am looking for is pretty specific but any help would be much appreciated. Like I say even any individual nations who want to RP are welcome to send a telegram!

Come to Anoteros, looking to make a region with an active government that is complex and can reflect a mixture of real-life governments, that would also have elements of RP in it. The Leader of the region, though it would be a nation, would be a person, controlled by the nation. Let's say you are elected President, or whatever we choose as the region leader, then your nation would be given that role but all documents you sign and all laws you make will be made and signed by your nation's representative for the position of President. This region would also have an active Roleplay (not mandatory) a map, potentially a sports RP, and anything else that members wish to add.

Looking to form a board of experience NS members, but the experience isn't necessary, only ambition.

Greater Olympus is a fantastic RP region that meets all of those requirements. Though we do forum based RPs (which I'm biased towards cause they are awesome), its a tight knit community with a detailed map.

2. The RP is set somewhere between 1300 and 1800

Caer Sidi sounds a bit like what you are looking for. We're past tech, medieval fantasy setting. The only thing is that you do need citizenship in order to claim map space, but I promise it's worth it!
