Mobile Communications
This is your world. And we are your network. Universal Telecom has been in business since 1986 as one of the oldest cellular networks in the world, and today the Astyrian-based brand is covering more and more nations across the globe. We have the financial and technological backing to give you the best network and the best deals possible. Forget the hefty fees, hidden costs, excessive prices, and fat cat executive boards of our competitors! We offer no contracts, no restrictive rules, and no overages!

Instead, enjoy a unique network in which prioritizes a local wifi connect for strong signals, stable connection, and reliable service. This cuts the cost to you as well as boosts networks speeds due to less congession and stress on our network. Enjoy fast 5G data outside of a local wifi signal, clear call quality, and a reliable network.

Mobile Telecom History

In 1986, as the cellular industry was just getting off the ground in ViZion, Armaj Heavy Industries began to invest in Port of New Alton-based upstart network, Universal Telecom. The company, founded by James Freks, quickly leapt forward with the investment - an initial $2.5 million, followed up by additional funding months later - into becoming the top network in ViZion's State of Tanzania. In 1988, Armaj Heavy Industries officially purchased the company for a shocking $24 million. By 1992, when the industry was getting into fully swing on the higher-end of the market, Universal Telecom was the nations largest network. By 2000, however, the companies growth had slowed enough to allow Kingston Wireless Telecom to slip by it, being bumped to second place. In mid 2013, the company slid into third place domestically, and was the third of the big three ViZionarian brands to enter the global marketplace.

In April 2014, Armaj Heavy Industries was dissolved, merged into Astyria Corporation. As such, we have become part of the AstCorp family.

In January of 2018, Astyria Corporation purchased Multivision Entertainment Group, and in February announced the merger of the two brands into one, restructured and rebranded Multivision Media Communications.

This is because with Universal Telecom, wifi is the primary, while our network is the secondary when no local wifi signal is available. Why do we do this? When traveling outside the country, data and text are free while calls at an inexpensive $0.04 per minute, ensuring your ability to keep in contact with everyone!

Incredible Technologies
We are among the first networks globally to introduce Standalone 5G, allowing for pure, uncompromised 5G experience end-to-end. This allows for the promised capabilities and speeds touted for 5G early on to become a reality!

That's the Jamaica in Queens, but we don't have to explain that part.

Now that I think of it, has anyone actually ever seen his birth certificate? No? Highly suspicious indeed.

We are excited to announce we are among the first networks globally to launch widespread Standalone 5G. Standalone 5G (5G SA) is a new generation of 5G technology that uses a dedicated 5G core network instead of relying on a 4G LTE core network. This technology can unlock capabilities like faster upload speeds, ultra-low latency, ultra-high reliability, and edge functions. Unlike 5G non-standalone (NSA), which still relies on a 4G LTE core, 5G SA is an end-to-end 5G network that can provide better support for all use cases.

One of the most exciting features of 5G SA is its ability to provide faster upload speeds. With the increasing demand for uplink capacity and speed, 5G SA can help meet this new demand by providing faster uplink transmission speeds. This technology will be key to business opportunities like the next generation of connected cars.
