Wehrwolf Mobilization

Claim: More of Bavaria

Joseph Goebbels looked down at a map of Europe, drafting plans to retake more of Germany along with his generals. It was decided that they’d work to secure the Bavarian region, since it held a great amount of support for their cause along with multiple bunkers and supply caches hidden away in the wilderness.

Mobilization began, and multiple militia forces as well as the more professionally trained and armed soldiers would be sent out to fulfill this mission. Once Bavaria was secured, they’d then move southwards to reclaim Austria, in order to link up with the Austrian Wehrwolf Division that they currently had no contact with.

The High Command was split with its options though, they could either continue to lay low and try not to draw attention to themselves. Or send out small scouting missions across Europe, in order to pick up data and bring intel back so they have a better idea on the situation they’re in. Fears of surviving ally governments ran high, as it was believed that they were not yet ready to enter conflict with them again. Despite this though, Goebbels did permit a small force of six men to patrol former Germany in order to see the situation, these individuals would be given camouflage and silenced firearms. They could only hope they didn’t come in contact with ally forces, best case scenario is that they link up with other Wehrwolf forces or perhaps other German Resistance movements.

Wehrwolf Bavaria!

Claim: Last of Bavaria, And Tyrol

The first triumph of the Fourth Reich has come now that all of Bavaria is under our rule, while still far far away from uniting all of Germania under a single common banner. It is the beginning of rebuilding, and remaking itself, now plans are being put into action to link up with the Austrian division of Operation Wehrwolf. According to current intel, it is believed that they’re operating around the city of Vienna and near the Hungarian border as well as near the Yugoslavian border. Soldiers have been sent in to secure Tyrol, and then expand further into Austria so that its people may be apart of the Reich again.

The High Command is heavily divided as to where would be wisest to expand after Austria, some officers advising to make a push all the way to Alsace-Lorraine and then retake the rightfully German states. Others say that moving northwards into Bohemia would be a wiser decision, as the fortified line there could serve as a valuable position to hold. However, a few propose to expand into Istria or South Tyrol, while both did belong to Austria once before and thus seem as rightful lands belonging to the Reich. It could put the fledgling German state at risk with a possible Italian state, along with being active at seas may also raise chances of them being spotted by allied forces. Another idea to border the sea is to expand all the way up northern Germany in order to gain ports on the baltic, this idea being seen as costly and time consuming rather than one to be taken up now. Therefore debate remains high as to where the Reich must expand into after Austria, meanwhile its forces and civilians work hard to repair the German state in order to bring it back to prewar and plague glory.

The Old Religion

The Catholic Faith, a faith as old as The Roman Empire and as sturdy as an oak tree in fall, now stands alone as the only sign of true civilization and enlightenment in the former state of Italy if not all of Europe. Pope Pius XII would see the horrors of the fabled apocalypse first hand as he was escorted by heavily armed Swiss Guardsman through the ruined streets of Rome. Survivors would cry out to him throughout the streets and he would answer them with the words of god and plentiful reserves of bread and water. The Pope, discouraged by the site of his beloved home, immediately began to order for the swift burial of the dead throughout Italy as well as the development of useable farm land for the growing of wheat and other basic foods. Surviving livestock would be brought to these lands and would be cared for diligently by the surviving peasantry. The Swiss guard would begin to arm the able bodied men of Rome and Italy for the protection of the Papacy. Old Italian military bases would be occupied and used as head quarters and barracks for this new force of Crusaders. The Pope would likewise send massive waves of missionaries throughout the former Catholic nations of France and Spain to declare the survival of the church and the creation of a new society. This would spark the beginning of a mass migration to the Italian Penninsula as Catholics from around Europe would move to either live under or defend the church that they held so close to their hearts. The Swiss Guard would advance into Eastern Italy (as shown above) in order to strengthen the security of Rome and expand access to useable farmland.

The Provisional Congress has today passed a law imposing strict food rationing throughout the Provisional United States due to the limited land available for farming. The next job of the government was to pass a law establishing the Provisional Commonwealth of Virginia and the Provisional State of Maryland, to be governed by Presidential appointees until elections are held in 1952, the date set for Presidential and Congressional elections. President Truman tells the American people via the restored CBS network that even though the world is gone, America's values are not. "We will always be one nation under God, and not even Japan can change that with their genocidal murder of the world." It is decided that exploration expeditions shall be sent out into the rest of Maryland and Virginia. A new radio station, called the Voice of America is set up to broadcast the news of America's survival throughout the region. A 2,000 man volunteer force is officially declared the Provisional United States Army.

Citizens rejoice as the first M-4 Sherman is recommissioned within Fort Hood. Signaling the beginning of the Texan Armored corps.

The government has sanctioned for 600 members of the Texan army and former members of the U.S Navy to go on an expedition to mobile bay in order to try and requisition any of the destroyers in the bay.

OOC: Fort Hood is the single largest military base in the Americas. And is a tank depot located 40 miles outside Austin

The New Majapahit - 1952
Claim: One state in Borneo, one border state in Sumatra


Four modern ships were in the Majapahit navy. They're only destroyers, but they're as good as dreadnoughts.

The most of the Majapahit navy is made out of frigates, and there's only seven, but that leaves them as a significant maritime power in Australasia, if not the only one. The nationalized spice and coffee haven't come in much help as of now, but once they reach out into the world, the King suspects they will.

Even though their only contact to the outside world is Guangxi, they're still good trading partners, especially considering their size and the significant amount of raw materials they have that the Majapahit don't. Rubber, oil, spices, and coffee for metal, wood, and most importantly; guns.

Guns were a dying commodity in Indonesia, especially because the Dutch siphoned them from the East Indies. The other guns were used fighting the Japanese, and many broke if they weren't lost.

Borneo was in their reach, now, and that means a lot. Much more rubber and oil were able to be gained. The title of the "Masters of Water" would soon come again to the Majapahit.

Austrian Wehrwolves - 1

Claim: more of Austria

“They moved through the brush like silent devils, confident with each brush of death for each leaf or twig of ash could mean alerting their prey. Lone souls that were stripping the Furher’s golden insignia off their uniforms to conceal their identity amongst the populace. To buy a loaf with swallowed pride and canteens of dust, the river was poison on this side of the mountain spring… Yet the Wehrwolves continued their hunt.” - Commanding officer of Wehrwolf forces, Hans Baier

The armies of Wehrwolf Germany marched deeper into Austria now, making their way towards Vienna as they use maps in order to find the location of hidden bunkers and supply caches. Upon securing them, they’d send a few men to bring trucks in to haul the supplies back to Munich while taking what they could and resupplying their push. The deeper they went into Austria, more and more bunkers and supply caches were found mysteriously empty. Disturbed, the men continued to push deeper, fearing the worst they readied their guns and prepared themselves for a fight.

Then, a twig snapped among the woods and the men jumped and readied their guns, pointing them out in the trees and then they spotted them.

The Austrian Wehrwolves, the two groups screamed at one another for sometime, demanding answers from one another as they fired a few warning shots. Luckily, the two eventually sorted out that they were both Wehrwolves and not enemies. They all took a sigh of relief, and began asking questions to one another. It was discovered that Vienna had been completely destroyed by the advancing Soviets, and that the Austrian Wehrwolves were currently based amongst its ruins and were working to rebuild it. Furthermore, it was learned that according to Austrian knowledge, there were currently no Italian, Yugoslavian, Hungarian, or Soviet forces around Austria. Something that made many sigh with relief, they’d be able to continue their isolation without meeting ally forces. Although Hungary and Italy were allies of the Reich, many grew paranoid of the possibility of meeting them. For various reasons, such as Hungary falling to communism or Italy now being an ally puppet state.

Nonetheless, the now united army secured land in Austria for the Fourth Reich and began the journey to Vienna.

The air was crisp, the smell foul, and each drop of ashen rain caressed the uniforms of the Crimson Accord whom saluted the air and shouted "Justus et Paciens" for it is only the Just and Patient who can truly lay claim to the world. The military arm of the Order of the Dragon had painstakingly protected the Balkans from the enemies of Christendom throughout the blood-drenched centuries and through this final, yet divine act of preservation from a worldwide plague was indeed both heartening and terrifying. Much like their symbols, their faith, their arms, and their families have been preserved from the Rapture.

The rain continued its timeless, gray chorus as it patted the heads of its grim audience until they emerged fully with battalion upon battalion of armed ghosts. In truth, the arms comprising were the Order's own developments during the World Wars even including the iconography of Heaven, Hell, and of Dragons. After them emerged the Black Guard armed with flamethrowers and body armor as they marched in noble demonstration to the front. Then the center lanes split between them as if a parting ocean before the Order's mechanized divisions. The ghosts wore their masks and helms with a dark pride and straightened their uniforms to pass ceremonious inspection. Thus to finish the ritual all the men began to march after the female radio operators and senior logistic officers joined ranks. The trees themselves seemed to bend their bows to embrace its ancient protectors and shake in the breeze with gasps of rustled leaves as the men bid goodbye.

Today’s story; the brave men and women of the expeditionary force sent to Mobile have arrived in Galveston today. And they come bearing gifts, 3 sims class destroyers, which were abandoned due to the plague, were found, intact, although lacking Armament. They are to be towed into the Houston Shipyard. Where they shall be finished. This is an unprecedented turn of events, for now we are the only nation that we know of to have any sort of functioning navy.

In other news, troops of the 1st Armored division marched into Dallas today. As part of the foundation of a true Texan republic. They met some resistance while going through Arlington, but the brave men of the Texan army pushed on. Soon, all of Texas shall be under proper Texan control.

The Provisional Commonwealth of Virginia officially dropped Provisional from its name with the whole state being under PUSA control. Rations were made 5% larger with the increase in farmland available, but the government's efforts to broadcast out into the void with the Voice of America have borne fruit and 500 refugees are arriving in the Provisional United States every week, many having worked in New Deal programs that gave them experience in the type of work that is needed for rebuilding the nation. Maryland is starting to boom, as it's horse farms are providing transportation for the oil-less masses. The Provisional Congress passed a new tax law, adjusting taxation to the realities of the reduced nation, with a new budget in progress. The new budget will include significant funding for oil exploration, and national health and defense. The naval base at Norfolk has been found structurally intact with 2 ships in the best condition possible being declared the Provisional Navy. One ship is tasked with coastal patrol of Maryland and Virginia. The other is tasked with finding out what happened to the coastal cities in the Northeast. The PUSA is also experiencing a religious revival. The survivors flock to the churches en masse. Some are calling it the Third Great Awakening. Many preachers are teaching the value of hard work and good deeds to an eager, hungry population. The Army has not been left out of the expansion, with it now having an 8,000 strong force to protect the nation. They are mainly used as police, but rumors persist of a raider base in command of Atlantic City.

With the reclamation of the last parts of the Texan Frontier. The republic has drawn up further plans for expansion. Starting with a mass cattle drive to Denver and Albuquerque. And a repairing of the railroads between Them and Texas. Due to the vast oil reserves in Texas. Many oil refineries have started to turn back on, and items like gasoline and diesel are being delivered to the frontier. In order to enhance production standards. Due to recent government orders, many wheat fields are being replaced with things like beans and potatoes due to the realativly low calorie gain per acre compared to most other foodstuffs.

In other news, Radio Austin has been expanded. With tributary stations established in Houston, Brownsville, and Dallas. For the purpose of attracting refugees from Mexico and neighboring states. Several hundred Mexican civilians have already made their way to Brownsville. And more are hopefully coming soon.

Austrian Wehrwolves - 2

Claim: More of Austria

Finally, Vienna laid within the borders of the Reich once more, the remaining Austrian division joined up with the rest of the army and they continued to loot all the bunkers and caches throughout the new territory they possessed. Furthermore, the rebuilding of Vienna and Munich continued as the German people worked as one cohesive machine to rebuild their homes. The government guaranteeing to everyone who helped rebuild the cities a home among them, and being granted free rations while building.

Those who weren’t rebuilding the two cities worked on remaking smaller towns, and farming in the fields to produce food for everyone in the Reich. Others though, would have a more important task to perform… These individuals being apart of a secret operation to rebuild and repair old tanks and armored vehicles. Along with getting other weapons in the German arsenal up and ready for usage, not many knew of this project due to it remaining highly classified by the Wehrwolf Military. The project did more than just repair the weapons they had, it was also dedicated to going out into the rest of Germania to retrieve more weapons and securing them from hostile forces. Knowing the danger that existed with allowing ally forces to even attempt to take the weapons they held, danger existed with even allowing the average German citizen wield them.

Along the way, rumors of the Catholic Church in Vatican City began to rise, it was believed by those in Germany that the Pope in Vatican City would’ve been killed by the disease. Along with the entire Catholic system, nonetheless it was decided to keep this intel highly classified and to prevent anyone in the Reich to leave. They couldn’t allow for the papacy to drain the population of the German people, and furthermore they couldn’t dare allow for the papacy to know of the Reich’s existence! Or else, news would spread to whatever ally forces are left.

The Provisional State of Maryland drops Provisional from its name as the last of the state is reclaimed. The election of 1952 has occurred, with Harry S Truman elected as President, but a Republican House is seated. At his inauguration, Truman promises to work with Republicans to pass a budget for the new national government and secure the nation from all threats. Baltimore and Norfolk have become the center of national rebuilding. Agriculture is back to 63% of prewar levels, and water is back to 79%. The first act of the Provisional Congress is to form a department of Human Health and Services. Radio communication is coming back, with CBS and NBC back on the air. Washington has experienced a large boom, as people flock to what has become the financial center of America. A stock exchange has already been established. The national mood turns fearful when an expedition returns with news of raiders based out of Atlantic City that use their ties to organized crime to control food all the way to Connecticut. The army now numbers 10,000 and the navy has 5 ships to fight the raiders.

Rome

The great Catholic migrations to Rome were more successful than Pope Pius XII had thought as thousands of impoverished Catholics throughout Western Europe made the long journey to the papal state. Many young men, eager for food and work, would volunteer themselves into the army of God where they would be paid, fed, and trained by the best military minds of Rome. This influx of migrants likewise created a need for new land as the military pushed south into the old Kingdom of Naples. The most noteworthy of the migrants were Catholics who crossed the sea from the warring coast of Algeria who brought the expansion of the revolutionaries into Malta to the Popes knowledge. The Pope would send Catholic missionaries towards the Rebel coastline to possibly establish relations and trade with the new state. The missionaries would take with them goods from the Italian Peninsula including olives, wines, and cheese. Small military units would be assigned to each of these missionaries to ensure the well being of the Roman nationals. Gods kingdom is expanding thanks to the efforts of his new disciples.

Earlier today, the rail lines between San Antonio and Denver were brought back into full working order, and the first freight train is scheduled to arrive in Denver by this time tomorrow. Bringing tractors and fuel to stimulate agriculture.

In other news, a skirmish across the Rio Grande river outside Laredo ended in a decisive Texan victory. Remnants of the Mexican civil militia clashed with a portion of the 2nd motorized battalion. Due to a misidentification. No casualties were reported on both sides. But the militiamen later met with city officials in El Paso. And finally agreed to merge Juarez, with El Paso.

Small extra. The Destroyer RtNS Colorado river went on a successful transit through the Panama Canal. And president Stewart L. Rivers will soon be visiting Panama city personally to try and negotiate a deal with their leaders

Operation: Sicheres Vaterland

Claim: More of Austria

The Reich’s forces continue its sacred mission of reclaiming Austria, and absorbing them back into the Reich as they should be. Securing any weapons and supplies they could along with recruiting Wehrwolf forces, and aiding German citizens along the way. The rebuilding of the territory they held was going well, and the Reich’s forces have been greatly bolstered now that they managed to recover many of their weapons and supplies. With this, they could pursue more aggressive expansion and be able to combat with allied forces in a much more effective manor.

But, speaking of ally forces many began to wonder where they could possibly be, many among the High Command assumed they would’ve ran into some sign of them by now. Yet, nothing was found whatsoever, the whole thing deeply disturbed many of them, believing that they were watching the Reich. Or perhaps they had simply been lucky so far, but that luck was destined to run out sooner or later… Many considered preparing their defenses, bunkering down, readying everything they could to fight off the coming threat! For surely… if they did not… The Reich would be crushed into ashes once more……

Nein! Nein this could not be! Said one of the men among the High Command, this figure being none other than Joseph Goebbels himself. He stood high among the conference room, and he gave forth a rigorous speech.

“Nein! We shall not allow for the German nation to cower in fear, while we jump at threats that haven’t even made themselves present! This… This paranoia! This fear that has been corrupted into the great soil of our people, this unwilling of battle and desire to merely hide away and lock our doors to pretend like nobody is home! We are the heirs of Germany’s legacy! The Fourth Reich mustn’t cower before enemies they face in the past, but they should stand tall and outmatch them all! For we are the Aryan Race! Hiding away like damn cowards is like the cat running away from the mouse! I say, instead of waiting around for the allies to attack us we seek them out and strike first, cripple and defeat them!”

He finished his speech, as everyone among the High Command clapped at what he had said. For now, a new policy would be put into place… No more cowering, now it was only time for war…. Radio Wehrwolf began to broadcast all throughout Europe now and called out to the German people to rise up against the allies and fight back for the New World Order. Scouting missions among the Reich’s former territories quadrupled, as they’d go to secure anything and everything of value, while they all still made sure not to reveal the location of the Fourth Reich. They’d now take a much more aggressive stance in the grand scheme of things, for the Wehrwolves go on the hunt now.

The Aegean Sea, 1953
Claim: 2 bordering provinces in Anatolia

An Ottoman ship, bearing the Jack; a long, red pennant with a yellow crescent on the large side, patrolled the Aegean. Extending further south, maybe to where the former Greek island of Crete was. Even though it was unlikely to find anything, it could lay the grounds for a good colony.

An unknown language called to the soldiers on board from a nearby ship. Its jack was strange; a crescent moon and cross, held aloft by a Phoenician symbol. The language seemed French, but with a strange and notably Arabic accent.

Fortunately, at least, one or two on board spoke Turkish. "You are within Carthaginian territory! State your reasons for being here immediately!"

A brave soldier spoke up. "We are here under orders from the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire! We are explorers, nothing more!"

Those on the Carthaginian ship took a while to murmur amongst their selves before speaking again. "Very well. Give the Sultan our regards." With that passing remark, the ship sailed off into the horizon.

The lands of Carthage have met the ships of the Ottoman Empire.

Claim: Delaware and Southern New Jersey
The Provisional United States now has four members, with a new state of Delaware and a Provisional State of New Jersey being established. The raider capital was found, but the raiders were unaware of the new United States. This enabled the navy to launch a surprise strike on them, shattering their defenses. The raiders quickly figured out who attacked, causing them to reestablish themselves in New York City. With more farmland becoming available, agricultural production is up to 80% of prewar levels. Water is now 100% safe. A new railroad from Washington to New York is being planned. A line is also being built toward Philadelphia, as was one toward Charleston, West Virginia. Industry is being rebuilt, with searches for oil and coal taking up a lot of time. America’s religions are now swelling in membership as the people look to Christ for answers. President Truman’s approval rating is at 87%, a sign of the progress America has made. The Voice of America is now spreading the gospel of America all the way to the Mississippi.

The Ottoman Empire, 1953

The news spread like wildfire.

Every single person in the Ottoman Empire was enraged. The Kaaba was destroyed. Holy Islamic sites throughout Arabia... gone. The Sultan was screaming, slamming his desk.

"AND THOSE FILTHY DISGRACES OF THE HUMAN RACE SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE AND THE SAME THING SHALL BE DONE TO THEM AS THEY DO TO OUR PEOPLE! WE WILL DESTROY THEM, SLOWFULLY, PAINFULLY, AND WITHOUT REMORSE!"

His advisors all agreed. Why wouldn't they? The barbarians (for now) in Arabia had reportedly destroyed the holiest site in Islam. He was steaming. His face was more red than a tomato. He was absolutely furious. He would go down there and hunt down these barbarians himself.

He gathered his men. He was planning an expedition.
