Furry Discussion Thread

Postby Furry Alairia and Algeria » Wed Mar 04, 2015 5:52 pm

With the apparent uprising of those who are furries, or at least taking somewhat of a interest, good and bad, within furries.

So yes, the furry fandom is defined across a majority of people by many people, some who wish to call themselves "experts" on the fandom. You can call it nice, wonderful, silly, hated, hateful, sick, and worrisome, to name a few. But what most people do is simply not care, or are very confused. And in all honesty, there's almost no "one" definition of what a "furry" is, however, one thing that a lot of people can recognize is a majority of different thing:
    The Animals
    The Art
    The stories
    The Music
    The Porn
One thing people love to obsess about is pointing out the pornographic portion of furries, which has smeared the name, "furry", and CSI, The Drew Carey Show, Sex2K on MTV, Entourage, 1000 Ways to Die, Tosh.0, and 30 Rock are the most notable of piling on the heap and decide to focus on the minority. Let's get one thing and one thing fucking clear.
It is not about the porn
It is not about the porn
IT IS NOT ABOUT THE PORN

It's flames on both sides. No one these days really does tolerate furries. But one thing a lot of people like to describe them as is animal-fuckers, which, of course, isn't true.
Lets get one thing clear, these are the demographics of sexuality of furries
    A: 14–25% homosexuality
    B:37–52% bisexuality
    C: 28–51% heterosexuality
D: 3–8% other forms of alternative sexual relationships.
There is a very slim chance you'll actually find a zoophile, as they are a separate community. Please recognize that the minority, not even 10% is interested in other relationships other than homosexuality, heterosexuality, or bisexuality; and not to mention that in a old survey that only 2% would be interested zoophilic relationships.

Please remember this information before you start throwing empty accusation, listen to failing or terrible radiostation that'll be willing to label anything as a deviation, and please rethink of what you know of furries.

If you have any negative views then you should probably read the spoiler. If not answered, best you ask through post rather than wait.

So yeah, the furry fandom is described as sick, wonderful, worrysome, beautiful, terrible, silly, etc. etc... You know the drill. But now to discussing.
What do you think of the furry fandom? Is it in a negative or positive light?

Furry fandom is one of the weirdest fandoms out there.
This nation does not represent my views.

It's bound to be looked at as weird. Any fandom is.

This is the internet. The OP's statement is both invalid and subject to severe trolling and constant mockery.

Trying to justify the fandom on the internet is just asking for a good grinding on the proverbial stone of the internet.

Either that or you'd just be metaphorically stoned by other people.

Or you might just blaze it. And just be stoned, yourself. Isn't the internet FUN?! :lol2:

I've apparently fixed Harelia's economy. I guess I'm good at that now, or something. Probably not. I should sell cats...

I'm aware I have no Factbooks. That's because I'm terrible at making them. Want some facts? Here's some facts.
Fun Fact: Harelia is better than you and also we have pizza. Also our leader is a rabbit man with soft fur who likes to snuggle and eat pancakes.

In your view. No matter which fandom you're in, even if you're not in a fandom, you're still going to be considered weird by a number of people.

First off, "This is the internet" is not a fucking excuse. It isn't
Second off, What this statement has to do with this I really have no idea.
Third off, Anything beyond the first sentence really has nothing to do, invalidated by previous statements, or just don't make sense.

It's always nice when furries can make fun of furries being furries. I mean it's the internet. Can't be taking things seriously here, or even try starting a serious discussion. That'd be like if the Brady Bunch was entirely misanthropic. And Jan was running the whole show.

This thread's pretty dead, I thought I could find some people here, but all the nations ceased to exist.
