Main religion in your nation? The Teyrian (or "Imperial") Faith
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? Officially, everyone is a part of the Faith unless excommunicated
How free is one to practice another type of religion? Not very, at least openly. We have our own Faith Inquisition which seeks to root out all opposition to the Faith
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? It is legal but not encouraged, and not very common
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? They are far less common than on the Oswestra Isles, to our south, as our population is far less religiously diverse
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? Officially, there is only the Faith. In practice, there are dozens
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? No. You would have to be mad to be an atheist

The Brytish Isles | Religion Survey

Postby The Brytish Isles » Mon Mar 18, 2019 2:39 pm

Main religion in your nation?
The "main religion" of the Brytish Isles is Christianity, specifically Catholicism and Anglicanism. The Church of England is the state church and its head is the monarch, but other churches and denominations operate within the Kingdom.
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion?
59.5% of surveyed Brytons list their religion as Christianity.
How free is one to practice another type of religion?
People are free, at least for the most part. Certain religions are more monitored and restricted than others. The restrictions placed upon Islam and Muslims is a prime example, which significantly reduces Islamic proselytism, implementation of Sharia’h and the building of new mosques. Religions like Buddhism, Sikhism and so on are not at all restricted except by impartial secular law.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged?
Abortion is legal, but it is not specifically encouraged. Women can get an abortion at any point, but all are told to seek one as early as possible if the pregnancy is undesired.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common?
Religiously-fuelled terrorist attacks are not "common" but they are occasional and the Brytish people aren’t unfamiliar with them. Since the restrictions on Islam and Muslims were implemented and enforced, terrorism has dropped but potential terrorists remain in hiding amongst the general Muslim population. It is very rare to hear of non-Islamic religiously-fuelled terrorist attacks.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there?
Many. Brytain is a religiously diverse country. There are numerous denominations of Christianity present, as are Islamic sects. Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Taoists, Shintoists, neopagans and many others inhabit the Isles. There is also the recently-founded "Cult of Brytain", which has been described as a ‘ethnonationalist cult’ and venerates the nation, the ancestors and paganistic deities.
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government?
Atheism is not officially sanctioned by the civic government due to the latter’s secularity. Some Acts of Parliament can be described as atheistic but there is not an official endorsement of atheism by the government.

Main religion in your nation? Christianity, with various denominations
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? It depends on where in the country you are. Auspelia has a 'bible belt' of states in the north and east of the country were about 70-80 percent of the state populations are religious and regular church attendees. However, in the south and western parts of the country, church attendance is much lower and agnostics make up over 50% of the state populations.
How free is one to practice another type of religion? The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion/freedom of worship
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? Abortion is legal in some states and effectively illegal in others. Recently, a conservative federal government was elected and so the more conservative northern and eastern states of Auspelia have rushed in strict anti-abortion measures as they perceive that the current government will give them a more sympathetic ear. The situation is extremely similar to the current happenings in Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio in the United States.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? The only terror attacks to occur in Auspelia have been from Islamic extremists, however, in the conservative northern and eastern states of Capricornia, Kingsland, the Northern Territory, and Eastern Auspelia, there have been racial hate crimes committed against Muslims by Christians. Controversially, the Auspelian federal government has refused to acknowledge these hate crimes as terrorist attacks.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? Christianity: Catholics, Evangelical Protestant (mainly in the northern states), Methodists, Anglicans, Baptists (largest protestant group), Calvinists, etc. Mormons (especially in the Northern Territory), Muslims (primarily in the southern and western states), Jews amongst others.
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? The federal government is officially secular, however, some of the right-wing Christian parties in Auspelia are trying to change this and are attempting to introduce legislation that would recognize Christianity as Auspelia's sole state religion. One of these Christian parties is part of the current federal government coalition.

The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? 97 %
How free is one to practice another type of religion? * Personally, everyone is free to believe in anything. Creation of religious organizations and religious propaganda is prohibited.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? * Abortions are allowed, but the state promotes safer methods of contraception.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? * There is no religious terrorism in our country - there are no religious organizations inside the country, citizenship is given only to atheists, entry visas are given only to guests friendly to our materialistic ideology (guests from socialist countries, Marxists, secular left liberals).
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? * There are no organized religious communities in our country.
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? * Atheism is part of the official ideology, and is included in the education system at all levels. His propaganda is carried out in the media and supported by the state.

Main religion in your nation? Christianity (Mainly Orthodox and non-denominational)
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? Around 70% of the population consider themselves observing Christians
How free is one to practice another type of religion? Citizens are free to practice whatever religion they choose, but religion tends to go hand-in-hand with ethnic and cultural boundaries here.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? Allowed in certain situations, but overall extremely looked down upon by all groups.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? Rare, but not unheard of. Usually from foreign Muslims.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? Christianity is the majority religion, with Islam and Hellenic pagans being significant minorities. Due to a resurfacing of the latter's culture and philosophy, Hellenism is the overall cultural backdrop throughout the nation, with different religious groups syncretizing their beliefs with it to some extent.
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? Bona-fide atheism is seen largely as a flawed philosophical position, and to consistently hold such a view is seen as a sign of stubbornness and social failure. Those who personally drift away from their society's religion are encouraged to find other spiritual paths, and most simply become "cultural pagans" instead of rejecting religion entirely.

Main religion in your nation?
Norse Paganism.

The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion?
Around 80 to 85% (last data from ~2000).

How free is one to practice another type of religion?
Freedom of Religion is a thing in Lillorainen, and even if it wasn't, practicing different faiths is not a problem.

Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged?
It's entirely legal. Encouraged, no, it's up to one's own.

Are terrorist attacks about religion common?
Pretty unheard of.

How many types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there?
There are a few Non-Norse Cults (mostly Old Slavic and Oriental), and the Abrahamic types are represented as well, even though the latter only make up a very small minority.

Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government?
The state is secularized; other than that, statements are not made.
Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)
