Government sends out requests to foreign government for financial aid
Says money will be used for infrastructure, education, and more

Kadavu - The Kadavian Government has recently sent out requests for financial aid from foreign governments. Recipients so far include Pavlovsk, Santa Rosa, the American Federation, Alicia, the United Netherlands, and Perth. King Iramai, when asked about what the government intends to do with the money once and if it's acquired, said in a statement early this morning:

The people of Kadavu are proud, proud, people. But sometimes the stubbornness goes to our head and leaves us thinking we are invincible. It is necessary in this world of internationalism and globalism that we find ourselves friends with whom we can mutually benefit. Therefore, I have approached several governments with who we share positive relations to help us in our time of need. Infrastructure and education will be of the utmost priority; our schools and roads are in a sorry state. If we receive enough, more money will be allocated to the construction of several large ports in Vanua Levu and Viti Fiji as well as a cushion for the government if we ever fall into hard times. I hope that the world still has some generosity left and will answer to our pleads.

Tearjerking indeed. While during the past decade Kadavu experienced a bout of relative isolation, it seems that the new king has plans for the reborn nation to make it an important player in the world stage. We wait to see what happens next.

French States Form the Entente, EC Expansion Cited as Number 1 Cause


No longer willing to stand idly by while the Hulm led alliance expanded into their back yard, the nations of the former French Empire (excluding Occitania and Lache) convened today to discuss the creation of a strategic alliance. This alliance would safeguard members from policy demands from APSIA, Britannia, the EC, and any other foreign body. Hours flew by as insults and petty border disputes filled the Parisian Capitol Building until a final draft was finally agreed on. This new alliance, the Entente, would primarily serve to mediate existing disputes amongst French states and maintain a defense network capable of deterring foreign intervention.

While alliance members are hardly cordial towards one another, they recognize the addition of Occitania and the Netherlands as an existential threat to their independence. This new "entente" has become one of the most powerful military organizations in the world, on par with the formidable Japanese military. This will no doubt send shockwaves across the continent.

Rebels Rise In Northern Texas
The morning of August 18th in the cities of Amarillo and Lubbock were violently interrupted by the sounds of gunfire. The shots were fired by roughly 13,000 members in Armadillo and 2,600 in Lubbock of a rebel militia group named the Texan Republican Army. TRA forces clashed with police and the small Texan People's Army garrison in Amarillo. Lubbock police were overrun and the city fell into TRA control by 1:30 that afternoon. Amarillo later fell to the TRA at 2:35 AM. The Texan Republican Army broadcasted themselves as an anti-communist group seeking to take down the communist regime and restore freedom to the Texan people. Made up of former Texan Army soldiers and locals from Northern Texas and Oklahoma. Their exact numbers are not known but are believed to be close to 50,000 to 75,000 members.

King Iramai II meets with Gen. Secretary Gorbachad in Chekhov, discusses diplomatic relations

Yesterday night King Iramai II flew to Chekhov from the Royal City to meet with General Secretary Gorbachad of Pavlovsk to discuss increasing diplomatic relations between the two countries. He is planning to stay until September 6, 1992, touring the Pavlovski Capitol and hoping to strike an economic or political deal with the General Secretary. While he is gone, his daughter, Princess Leilani, will serve in his heed back here in Kadavu. Already, according to one of the King's aids, there has been some progress. When pried further, however, they declined to comment, so we can not be sure if anything truly happened.

In news closer to home: the recent decision to offer low cost travel to many Asian tourists has resulted In a swarm of foodies and connoisseurs descending upon Kadavian streets and villages in the hopes of taking part of the legendary clam harvest this year. The temporary lapse in income for many of the nation's hotels have been forgotten as one by one they are packed by enthusiasts and tourists. The government initiative to mediate a fund through Capital Pacifica has largely been successful for all three parties, with the businesses gaining affordable loans, Capital Pacifica gaining money (and recognition), and the government with a good period of PR.

"The continued growth of Landersvich is steady and strong" - reports chief economic council to the Kaiser. HLR, the countries economic poster boy has increased its value to 460bn Marks. Reports suggest that a possible oil deal with the rebels in Texas may help boost their valuation past 500bn. Economic prosperity in AEP has also increased - the strong ties between the nations and Landersvich has proven to be beneficial both strategically and economically for every party involved. The Kaiser has announced further economic and military support for Mbale, Algiers, and Igbo - stating, "They are our friends - their goals are our goals, let them tell us what they need and desire - we shall do our best to make those dreams come to fruition." Major roadways have been constructed in Igbo and the Water Plants in Mbale are being finished ahead of schedule; HLR and the Kaiser applaud the hard work and issue a statement to Mbale citizens stating, "This speedy recovery and construction effort is all thanks to your leaders and the Mbale Pope, be sure to recognize their efforts and prayers - they have saved your lives."

Landersvich's birth rate, due to strong and effective new policy measures, has increased to 3.12. These numbers have not been seen since the 1950s and are expected to add over 9 people to the nation's population. The Kaiser plans to continue these programs to ensure the economic growth of the Empire is not halted from underemployment. The economic growth policy has also been beneficial; the portion of the budget allocated to developing grant programs has proved that small and midsized companies in Europe can still exist. Median income has steadily been increasing and support for the Kaiser has exponentially increased since the recession occurred. Global Political Opinions of the Kaiser

The Kaiser has vowed to support the Texan peoples openly - they are the rightful owners of their land, and Landersvich is a firm supporter of the American Federation.

The Nations of Igbo, Mbale, Algiers, Oghuz, Carpathia, and the American Federations are all considered Friends of the Empire; with strong bonds, they can ask for favors and help - and know that the Empire is loyal to their nations and national goals.

Government announces new wave of market liberalizations.

The Government has introduced a series of new deregulations and liberalizations that are sure to make Kadavu a lot easier economically. Taxes are amongst the most notable changes, decreasing a flat 4% per bracket. Zoning laws and the tax code have been simplified drastically. Additionally, tariffs have been set to a flat 12% in order to foster trade. The most controversial change is the abolishment of the capital gains tax and expedited naturalization for foreign investors with significant holdings in Kadavu. While the elimination of the CGT raised a few eyebrows, the minuscule amount of foreign investors already located in Kadavu makes it unlikely to have any real effect on our economy.

The population is expected to grow as more and more immigrants from the surrounding island nations move to Kadavu in hopes for a better life. Quality of life will be generally improving as well as more money and skill is brought into the nation. The Minister of Commerce, Adamai Vaschiger, applauded the liberalizations, saying they were a necessary step on Kadavu's path to greatness:

It is my, the King's, and the majority of the Cabinet's belief that Kadavu can be changed into a grand metropolis full of wealth and innovation. An Oceanic Singapore, if you will. While the road to such a goal will be quite long and tedious, the deregulations that King Iramai has passed has definitely set us on the right track. I believe that through the greater succession of the economy to the market and less intervention from the government that we can truly reach that utopia.

TRA Captures Senator
Just north of the city of Dallas, the motorcade of Senator John Williamson was ambushed by Texan Republican Army guerrillas. The relatively small force of body guards were quickly overrun by the superior numbers of their foe. October celebrations in full swing



Military parade in Chekhov (Oct. 10th)


Since the beginning of October, celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Revolution and the foundation of the Federal People's Republic have been taking place all across Pavlovsk. Some notable celebrations so far have taken place in Helsinki and Tashkent, where officials gathered in celebration of not only the anniversary of the Revolution, but also to celebrate local culture as well. A large celebration also took place in Chekhov last week, including a military parade through the Red Square (pictured right).

The largest celebrations are planned for October 19th in Rykovograd, the date and place where the FPRP was officially founded, and the Revolution began. The temporary committee which has planned all the October celebrations have invited all communist politicians, parties, organizations and nations to attend the October 19th celebrations. Camera crews from various news organizations are reportedly preparing to broadcast the celebration in Rykovograd live to the entire nation and even the world. The General Secretary will also be making an appearance in Rykovograd, and will be giving a globally televised speech to the attendees.

October 19th celebrations a success



Gorbachad's televised speech


The celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Revolution in Rykovograd took place yesterday, and were met with decent reviews from party-goers. The rainy weather was not ideal, but the catering and fireworks were both commendable. A highlight of the day for many was the General Secretary's speech, which was televised globally. The General Secretary praised the many brave attendees from political parties around the globe who face harsh suppression from anti-communist governments, and had hostile words for the enemies of Pavlovsk and the Communist party-- though no specifics were provided.

Many prestigious figure from the global communist political sphere were invited to an after party at the General Secretary's winter getaway house just outside of Rykovograd, which overlooks the lake Ladoga. Notable attendees included the Yahelian Chancellor and the Chairman and Politburo of Songjiang. Firsthand accounts of the General Secretary's after party were very positive, and many politicians stated that the General Secretary is a masterful chef.

The celebrations in Rykovograd mark the climax of the October celebrations, but many celebrations are still planned for later in the month across the nation, especially within rural communities. To another 75 glorious years, comrades!

Famous Kadavian artist Mintsje Rodenhuis dies at 97, Princess Leilani engaged to Yahelian billionaire.

Suva - Early this morning famed artist Mintsje Rodenhuis was found dead in his multi-million dollar mansion on Tuvuca Island. The Coroner's Office has deduced the cause of death to an aggressive form of ALS, the existence of which was only known to Rodenhuis and his close family and friends. The nation mourns his loss today. Known for over 1200 paintings in a span of over 80 years, Rodenhuis was at the forefront of Kadavian culture and art. His most famous work: Sunlit Arbor is among some of the worlds most provocative and influential works of art, though he is known much more. A close friend to the Kadavian Royal Family, King Irapai and his family will attend his funeral. Some of the King's closest aides have reported that he cried when he received the news. King Irapai and Rodenhuis grew up together amongst the nation's aristocratic elite and forged a friendship as powerful as diamond. In Rodenhuis's will much of his most prized assets, including many of his paintings and sculptures, will be divided amongst his daughter Elsja Rodenhuis and King Irapai. The Royal Treasury has seemed to rejoice at the news, though Treasurer Lohoeite has been scolded by the King for being so joyous after such a tragic event. Rodenhuis's funeral will take place on the first of November in nine days time.

It is not all cause for sadness, however, as the Royal Public Affairs Committee announced that Princess Leilani Arepata has been engaged to opulent Yahelian oil tycoon Abdul Baasid al-Sultana. With this new addition to the family, the Kadavu Royalty have secured a wonderous amount of oil to add to their finances. The marriage will take place in 2 months, on December 25, 1992, at al-Sultana's mansion in eastern Yahel. After, Princess Leilani will live with her husband in Yahel, returning to Kadavu only during state visits and family reunions. The King and Queen both rejoiced as their "baby girl" had grown up into a woman, and the King remarked how even in the darkest hours light will find its way. More to come later.

Royal Family nearly doubles gold reserves.

The Royal Family has recently begun to amass large amounts of gold into both private and government storage. It is assumed that they are acquiring it in bulk from the local Vatukoula mine, where they currently own a 60% stake in the mine. Estimates of the family's gold reserves were already in the 40-50 tons, and with this addition may very well bump those numbers up to well beyond 80 tons, putting the family's worth in gold alone at $990.72Mn. Along with the inheritance of several famous Rodenhuis paintings (estimates range from $300k at the low end to over $100Mn at the top), the Kadavian royal family has been endowed with more riches then they could've possibly dreamed of before. The future marriage between Princess Leilani and oil magnate Abdul Baasid al-Sultana will only cement the family's fortunes.

Since serving a few months as the temporary Chairman of the Niagara Union after the death of Chairman Victor Clarke, Lance Chadstrong has proven himself to be a popular politician among the political elite of the Union's Politburo. Two weeks ago, the Politburo announced it would be holding elections to select a new Chairman. Chadstrong had decided to run as a de facto incumbent, and won the election with a majority vote of 58%.

As Chairman, Chadstrong has taken a less interventionist approach to foreign policy than his predecessor, which is likely what gave him the edge to win the election, especially on the short notice. As our great Union begins and continues to rebuild from the ashes of the fallen capitalist empires, it is necessary that our borders are secure. To this security, I have met with President McCarthy of the American Federation, and he has agreed to a full non-aggression pact with our mighty Union for a period of one year. This time period will allow time for Niagaran workers to regroup, unite, and return to work. This is a crucial moment for our Union, and by extension, for the workers of the world.

Turning to focus on domestic affairs, the first policy which I wish to implement after my full election is something which I have advocated and campaigned since the beginning of my political career. In previously capitalist areas of the Union, wealth distribution has been and still is completely out of line. People often talk to me about the idea of raising the minimum wage, of which I completely agree with, but I raise them one higher-- maybe it's time we establish a maximum wage. Case in point is the Sardino family of Texas, whose family members make millions of dollars a year, and yet their employees have to be subsidized by our tax dollars because they do not make a living wage. Starting November 28th, the Niagara Union will be fully implementing a higher minimum wage, along with a maximum wage. The new minimum wage is to be set at $9 an hour, and will increase incrementally with inflation. The maximum wage will be decided by yearly salary rather than hourly wage, with the maximum permissible yearly income being $9,000,000. All income past this mark will be taxed at a 100% rate by the Niagaran government, and be used to pay for dozens of new government programs, such as increased funding for low-income housing.

These policies will accelerate the Worker's Revolution at an unprecedented rate, and unite us as a people faster than any manipulative, capitalistic state.

Description-
An unmanned drone propelled by four electrical propellors and powered by solar panels 
along the wings. Can operate in the air indefinitely as long as the sun is visible, 
or one hour after sunset/shade. Experiments on unmanned steering have proven 
successful, but range is limited to 300 miles. Two versions are being made: one equipped 
with surveillance tools (one standard video camera and one thermographic camera), dubbed 
DragonEye and one with the ability to drop payloads of up to 100 kgs, dubbed DragonDie.
Both ships are visible on high-range radar but invisible to the naked eye due to the 
painted design and the extreme altitude of operation. Controls are received via low 
frequency radio transmitters or via predetermined directions coded before flight.

Production-
250 DragonEye surveillance units and 500 DragonDie bombers have been built and are 
being stored in bases on the Auckland Islands. The construction of 700 more of each unit
is under way and will be done at the end of November. Cost of construction is around
¥250,000 per unit. 

Deployment-
50 surveillance drones are being operated from the deck of a battleship off
the coast of New Benin, scouting the island in preparation of the upcoming attack and 
also testing the effectiveness of the drones. The bombers will prove extremely effective
as a first line of attack, given their ability to launch pinpoint offensives on select 
bases and buildings without risking men. The entire fleet should be ready for use before 
the upcoming attacks on New Benin as well as Tasmania and the other pacific islands of
interest.

Landersvichian - European Council Deal Struck!

After grueling negotiations, which have cause delegates from both sides to walk out of meetings, the EC and Landersvichian diplomats have finally come to an agreement! This Deals, which has been in the works for months, is expected to be the largest in Landersvichain history. The deal has allowed HLR to enter EC countries in its entirety - and without capital restrictions; that being said, Otto Handel had to promise EC officials he would not purposefully monopolize the market. All other Landersvichian companies may trade in the EC and, like HLR, do not have capital restrictions placed on them.

The independent European Council exchanges have merged into the ILE; EC member states will split 8% of the fee revenue between them through automatic payments in HLR regional headquarters. Fee revenue for the FCRM aspect of HLR will increase, however, due to HLR lowing exchange fees, the revenue from those fees will decrease. Total revenue of the ILE is predicted to stay at the levels they were before the deal.

With European goods pouring into Landersvichian markets - and vice versa, the diplomats saw it fit to create the European Economic Development Institute (EEDI), which is headquartered in Madrid; the EEDI will act as a think tank to improve the economic well being of Europe. Without going into too much detail about the deal, it is seen as a massive boost to European potential.

Due to increasing power of the newly established European Council, the French states have formed the "French Entente" to better defend themselves. A severe disease outbreak has taken place in the East Balkan states of Carpathia and Kakanj. Asia 'Rykovian Communist' revolutions have taken place within the nations of Yahel and Songjiang. The state of Lasir has been dismantled and replaced by multiple states established by the APSIA organization. The 'Persian Sultanate' has annexed two minor states within Central Asia. Africa The African state of Mbale has annexed it's neighboring state Habesha, along with assistance with Yahel. Mbale has also taken control over the island of Andapa. The Overall Global Order is regarded to be [UNSTABLE]. The current Probability for Intervention is [LOW].
