This was simply no simple task, to defend one’s own homeland because someone decided to randomly attack without any warrant.

“We then must take up arms against this. Just get Ms. Tan (Foreign Affairs Minister) to craft a deal, but seeing this guy’s goddamn intentions, it’s unlikely.”, PM Soliman stated quite plainly.

“Well, that is true, but we still have to try. Either way, I’ll get the military to prepare. We’ll get Subic, Clark and Bataan to scramble at least 1/4 of their jets to the west coast of the Philipines. We’ll get the 7th Pacific Fleet to Guam immediately.”, Mr. Layaoen affirmed.

“Good, I’ll call on the embassy in the US and reach out, get the Association Greater East Asian Nations to support us and evacuate any important government proceedings underground or to the PAMDEFCON HQ (Pilipinas and Malaya Defense Center of Initiatives). This will be one hell of a war.”, PM Soliman reiterated the usual protocol.

The news spread like wildfire throughout the govetnment and later the public, via relatives in America and in Guam contacting them. Panic ensued. People began hoarding food, riots began across PAM.

People began campaigning for the closure of the American embassy in Manila. They pelted it with paintballs, burned effigies of American politicians.

The army divisions just from the army base in the southern part of the coast had finally arrived. It was a sense of relief for the inhabitants. The news cycle kept repeating the headline and panic got worse. This was not a simple job, keeping your inhabitants calm when attack was very imminent never was easy. The sight of the army building fortifications got the populace a mixed feeling, which was either relief or panic.

One could imagine that the scene was like this all across Pilipinas and Malaya. The Americans had agressed the entire world, bringing the British Commonwealth, the remnants of NATO, European Union and AGEAN into the fold. What fools they were for thinking that every single one of the American citizens could just fight at least 3/4ths of the entire world’s army that was not American. Sure, they had 800+ military bases and thousandsnof personnel, but it would be useless against the world.

The Americans have just brought themselves into the delusion of power, which was almost always a death trap if you weren’t careful. A wee mistake would set off a chain of effects, like dominoes toppling down the American dynasty. All they could hope for was not to be overrun before that happened.
