No, there should be warning labels. Also I did say they should receive proper training.

So you're forty, right?
I'm much more younger than you.
Do you want kill people over forty? giving firearms to younger? sending to gulag older men to die or to shoot them?
Hm.. interesting.
Give me firearms first. Then can I shoot you? I just want to ensure my rights being respected.
You're too old, so why to worry? Just give me the firearms. Or the Stalin's Kaiser position. I as Borg surely I can take care of your ideas.
That's ageism affairs.

If we are to restrict the essential rights of democracy and humanity by age then I posit this question:

If humans are to be given rights above the rest of the animal kingdom simply because of intelligence, is it not thusly logical that one should test based on intelligence rather than age? The mentally handicapped may suffer problems, but that is what it means to discriminate due to intelligence.

I have thus proven this argument of intelligence being the justification for ageism to be fallacious, or at the very least, ableist. What more is to be said?

Ahh, my friend, you have not also spectacularly missed the point, but likewise you do not comprehend the argument being put forward: it is an argumentum ad absurdum, meaning to take things to their logical extreme. That, therefore, is the logical extreme of ageism as a proxy for intelligence. I disclosed that I was against barriers to democratic and human rights at the beginning, did I not?

Perhaps not, but democracy is a key part of human rights: it is the call to self-determination, to freedom. You are attempting to divert my point away as I currently see no counter argument in your statements.

The way we assign rights is not recognized by the rest of the animal kingdom. Plenty of animals have their own systems separate from ours and would favor their own kind above humans. The fact that human laws place humans above animals is only because they are HUMAN laws. It has nothing to do with intelligence.
